Hey guys! Job interviews can be tough. What advice would you give someone that has a job interview coming up? I'd love to know your thoughts and ideas.
@arrrteaawstin7 жыл бұрын
Some really good advice someone gave me when I first started interviewing was to go into each interview as if it was just a 'practice'. For me that helped to take off some of the stress and allowed me to be myself.

I’ll keep you posted when I get the offer letter but I am confident my answers were straight to the point and I brung our examples as well. Guess what? There were two people in the interview and the actual one who will be my IT team leader had no questions throughout the interview. Lol. Thanks again. Keep inspiring.

Great tips answering Why Do You Want To Work Here Heather! Over the years there were so many people I've worked with that I want to ask them "Why do you still work here." I am such a big believer in interviewing the company you are working for as much as they interview you. Some of the recent hires that came in for interviews blew me away that they had actually gone online and ordered (PAID FOR) one of my products and then came in to get a job. They wanted to learn about the product before they started working.
@ProfessorHeatherAustin7 жыл бұрын
Bloggin Brandi thank you for sharing. I love seeing highly motivated professionals. It’s neat your new hire’s bought your products before applying for a position. This shows that are interested and that they have good intentions.

So here are the main points I can bring up in my Schnucks interview: - I actually admire that this is a company that makes an effort to give back to the community (charity organizations). They don't just serve the customer, but take care of the neighborhood. - They are constantly growing their store with the ever-growing needs of the customers, like how they adopted a delivery service for those who can't afford to do a walk-in to buy their products. - Since they are a family-owned company with the fourth generation running things now, their main mission is to have a warm and friendly atmosphere with employees that not only make them feel helped but _comfortable_ in the store, able to rely on the store just as you would a family member.

I was 5 minutes late, i didn't prepare myself for the common questions and sort of rambled. Yet, I actually made them laugh many times, I was at my most enthusisatic and warmest self and they made me meet their team mate. So what do you think?

- Please, I have one more question : If you are busy in your work and you did not finish yet your tasks during your shift work , what to do in this situation ? Is do it faster even it will be a mess and many mistakes in your job ?? Or finish your job even it will be overtime than your schedule ?? Thank you for your time.

ORI RA, hi there. Great question! It all depends on the situation, such as work environment and your manager’s personality. Is he/she someone you feel you could talk to about this?

No offense nor any flaws with this presentation, but this is just exactly like a textbook version. Just my personal preference, I need something more. It's good for a starter and a great reminder.

Let's be honest here...and not just be fake because THEY KNOW THE REAL ANSWER!!! If we start stating that the company is the main reason we are applying, it's a lie!!! We all have the same answers because of these 5 realistic facts: (By Priority) 1_ I found the listed job opening somewhere 2_ I meet the job qualifications, skills and duties 3_ I need to be employed or compensation package is better than current one 4_ This company's location may be closer than my current employer's location 5_ I like the company's mission and would like to contribute to that mission

Hi Tony, thank you for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate your insight. I especially like the item you listed in #5. I must disagree however with the statement you made about a candidate mentioning the company as the main reason for applying. I work with clients all the time that want to work for a certain company. In my job search coaching program one of the exercises my clients do is to pinpoint 5 - 10 companies they want to work for. Rather than sifting through hundreds of job postings, they narrow in on a specific company. This seems to help them land their ideal job faster. Thanks for watching!

The reality is this is a shit question no matter which company it is. This is likely put on the list by HR that the interviewer has to ask. So trying to read back products and services from their website or news article may not be ideal. I am interviewing for a job tomorrow and this video gave me nada that I didn’t already know! I think the best ways of approaching this answer could be: - Your company makes the products or provides services which are or aims to be cutting edge and I want to contribute towards these goals, and learn in the process - You are building a team of talented individuals and taking on a big challenge and I want to be part of the team. I work great under pressure - I have past experience of doing something similar and I want to bring this to the table to make this a success In other words I am changing this into a ‘why we should hire you’ question which is what they are really after.
