He is a man of integrity. The starch solution basically saved my life. I'm serious. 10 years ago. I had the early stages of bowel cancer, type 2 diabetes, gout, high blood pressure. And a friend told me about this book he was reading. He gave it to me. And it changed my life. A year after starting the starch solution diet. Everything I was suffering from WAS GONE. After a lifetime of abusing my body with meat, dairy and processed garbage. God bless this man. We need more like him.

That's exactly what I eat, oatmeal with frozen blue berries, sugar free syrup to sweeten, almond milk, cinnamon. Zucchini spaghetti with all kinds of peppers and onions, plant based meatballs and low salt pasta sauce, today I cooked lentil soup insta pot . You tube is great for finding vegan recipes from other vegans who make video's. I've lost 10 lbs so far in a little over a month now.

Plant-based news promotes propaganda that fish is unhealthy and actively prompts vegan junk food from subway and KFC and McDonald's so what is it is vegan about your health or the animals if it is about health then why do you make videos when a non-vegan restaurant make vegan junk food I but go all on abord when talking about unprocessed food like fish I wonder Plus The title should be why vegan doctors like to hate anything that's non-Vegan I can make a whole video about why brown rice is unhealthy because the high level of arsenic cause cancer so therefore brown rice is unhealthy what about the DHA IN Fish is better than ALA in plants and much more bioavailable I think I would rather listen to what longest living healthy Japanese are eating whole food unprocessed diets just because most vegans are less likely to smoke and drink alcohol and eat less processed food doesn't mean that vegan diets are Heather at all the fact that pesco-vegetarians had the lowest hazard ratio for all-cause mortality in the Adventist Health Study 2 despite pollution? I can see the ecological and other ethical problems with eating seafood, but doesn't epidemiology contradict the claim that a vegan diet is healthier than a pescovegetarian diet? I don't think I know better, it's just that I see some contradiction here. This study on vegans' use of saying vegan being Heather than meat-eater has clearly shown the opposite true with the fish-eater this doesn't mean vegan diets are unhealthy but not optimal as whole food plants based with some fish since this diet provides all the nutrients from plants and B12 DHA and more biologically available vitamins A and D, therefore, non-vegan diets can be slightly Heather than WFPBD Not all vegans eat this diet vegans do eat refined carbs also added vegetable oils are and mock meats are not correct to say that vegans are automatically Heather because their diet is vegan Any idea, why pesco-vegetarians had the lowest hazard ratio for all-cause mortality in the Adventist Health Study 2 despite pollution? I can see the ecological and other ethical problems with eating seafood, but doesn't epidemiology contradict the claim that a vegan diet is healthier than a pescovegetarian diet? I don't think I know better, it's just that I see some contradiction here. Thanks for your reply. The level of mercury in fresh Atlantic salmon is 220 parts per billion mercury so which means That a 3oz serving is equal to 85 grams of Salmon 220/1000000000 equal 0.00000022 grams of mercury x1000 to milligrams then it's 0.00022 milligrams x1000 to micrograms then it's 0.22 microgram x85 for 3oz serving 18.7 micrograms of mercury The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that 0.1 mcg per kg) of body weight per day is the maximum safe dose of mercury. So 18.7 mcg from fish I am weighing about 73kg that's about 161 lb So Roundabout 0.10mcg per lb so my exposure Is within the safe non-risk limit if I eat 85 grams every day which is a lot I eat about 85 grams of salmon 3 times a week so my total consumption a week is about 255grams that's equal to 9oz a week Now we have to x3 the exposure of mercury that's come at 18.7/161 = 0.116149068322981 x3 = 0.348447204968943 Roundabout 0.35 I have to 7x the safe expound limit of 0.1 x7 = 0.7 mcg per pound per week is safe to limit I only would get 0.35 which is well within the safe limit so at this level heavy metals like mercury are completely harmless to get a negative effect you need to be exposed serval times the upper safe limit so you are wrong about fish contains omega 3 and DHA that helps the brain development and lower heart disease anyways if you are still concerned about this explore it safe to eat a fish a couple of times a week the benefits of fish completely outweigh the negative so stop spending misinformation If you still are stubborn about not eating heavy metal you do know that you're exposed to heavy materials at a far higher amount from second-hand smoke brown rice has arsenic that's doesn't mean that brown rice is unhealthy like fish the benefits outweighs the drawbacks of combining fish with prominently plant-based is optimal for health 👍 I am not saying that if you don't eat fish you will be unhealthy or anything you could live as healthy Without eating animals products as well I am just trying to inform people that spending misleading information about the health effects of eating meat and fish is toxic does not help promote veganism because veganism has All to do with animals' ethics and the environment because both of these aspects are harming animals directly or indirectly While health is a personal choice nice logic very mon biased video 😂😂

Most doctors in the US don't even know what a healthy diet is.

You're right, they don't have a clue. Important to note that all medical schools are owned and operated by, or fully sponsored by, big pharma. If "we" were all healthy, non-meat eaters, neither "we," nor the "livestock" would need all of their drugs. I say "we" because I think most people who watch these programs have already figured it out. Seemingly impossible to wake up the masses. Tradition is tough competition. I guess everyone wakes up in their own time; some earlier than others.

Medical doctors as their name would indicate are trained to use "medicine." When people go to Medical (medicine) practitioners for treatment what else would they get? Dr's are not trained in medical nutrition therapy, dietitians are. And we generally, with very few exceptions, recommend people move towards a plant based diet.

Yes, so true... but I was delivered from my mother's womb by a "medical doctor," as were my own children (and the vast majority of people living in the world today. Just as we are socialized into believing food is entertainment to be enjoyed (also comforter), we are socialized into believing that doctors exist to cure us, (when in actuality, if we're lucky, they merely treat symptoms. Neither of which is true. Welcome to the rabbit hole.

Been on this lifestyle for 3 weeks now for health reasons and feel great again. I can move like i used to without going numb. I went to the cardiologist and he didnt take me serious. I told him i had numbness, chest pains, dizziness, and felt tired very easily. All he did was check my pulse and sent me home. Never been so disappointed. Glad i found this and its slowly healing me.

Keep eating healthy! As many vegs as you can. At Least one big serving of vegs a day. Oh, and get a different Dr! What a quack. He IGNORED your chest pains? He should have his license revoked!! It often seems only the rich get good health care. But at least we can educate ourselves and get ourselves healthy. My Grandmother lived on rice n beans (and salad), and chicken stew & fish all her life--lived to 98. And walked 5 flights up every day til probably her 60's. Get a new dr now though! Healing takes time, and your symptoms sound SERIOUS. Do the meds at least for now, and keep up the veg diet, and hopefully you can get off the meds soon. Good luck!

I highly recommend vegan plant diet.. see what works for you.. most importantly keep educating yourself.. theres tons of great information.. I also love Dr.Zach Bush.. find like minded friends.. even one is better than none.. don’t let other people influence you to not care about seeking a healthy diet and the welfare of the earth and animals!!..keep seeking the truth.. the meat dairy industries are nothing but greedy monsters that have no concern for your well being!!!.. I have been vegan almost two months now! Giving up dairy and meat was rough at first; it has been an adjustment learning to eat. When I felt like giving up, I watched a video about the meat and dairy industry( slaughter houses). After watching that video, I lost the desire to ever go back to eating meat!!! I bawled through the whole dang video. Now I feel sick to my stomach at the thought of eating meat. I don’t want anything to have to die in order for me to have food.

Gwen, I am the CEO of a nutritional holistic stem cell corporation, I am vegan and plant based, and let me tell you this personal case. My sister was diagnosed with RA when she was 25 years old. For almost 25 years she suffered indescribably pain. She refused to listen to me regarding her diet even though this is what I do. Finally approaching her 50th bd she gave a chance and her pain subsided 80%. When she finally went plant based, she got to reverse her RA condition. Pain free now for over 2 years. Plant based is not a cult. Veganism is true love and respect of animals and vegans could eat horribly bad diets or plant based healthy diets. I am both vegan and plant based. We eat such delicious plant-based meals (I’m convinced I’ve perfected the art of baked sweet potato fries). And we have no problem meeting all our nutritional needs through a variety of vegetables/grains/fruit. It’s effortless to play sports, remain slender despite the volume of food we eat, and have tons of energy. Our digestive health has improved, our ability to concentrate and remain focused has improved... I’m not sure why more people aren’t converting to a plant-based diet with the unbelievable benefits. Maybe I am stupid but I have no fucking clue what is he talking about if he is not actually eating turkey.

Gergo049 its pretty simple.. I am a strict vegan and if i told people i ate turkey every couple of year it would be a joke.. Get it.. He said he's a strict vegan, so why would he every 2 years eat a little bit of turkey.. He friggen wouldn't..

LOL, dude, he doesn't eat turkey. He says the Turkey and himself suffer every thanksgiving, because Vegans sometimes make things black and white and that turns people off to even give a listen. So, if he approaches people not as a Vegan, but as a healthy 70yo man that Eats starches and plants and every other year maybe eats turkey, people may go, OH, he eats Plants and is healthy, Maybe I should eat plants more often. It's quite the tactic, but it's more about the message that he conveys. He may not even go around using this bs turkey nonsense, but he was trying to tell Vegans to stop being so condescending. I'm a Vegan and I don't say oh I'm vegan, you're not, you suck. I let people ask questions and tell them I'm vegan when they ask if they didn't at the beginning of the encounter, that way it's more about their benefit or the animals benefit or the environments benefit. Labels are a turnoff to most, simple as that.

I understand this video is 6 years old. But we're not getting the message out. Dr. McDougall has the truth on his side. He has science on his side. He has my utmost respect. We need to share this video and take his advice. Do what you can, however you can. Your family's health is at risk. Thank you Dr. McDougall for standing by your beliefs and not taking the easy way out!

Dr. McDougall is firing on all cylinders in this interview. This man speaks the full truth and nothing but the truth. Other people layer their words and play to the crowd. McDougall tells it like it is every time whether people like it or not. Whether it gets him ostracized and shunned or not. His points are succinct and pin-pointedly accurate. This world would be a wonderful place with more men like him.
