After years of immersing myself in photography and enjoying watches, I've now combined the two by creating a KZbin channel. The primary objective of this channel is to share my watch collection with fellow enthusiasts and occasionally review watches borrowed from family and friends. Great video, but…You’re missing the point. You state the cost to Christopher Ward. They make no secret of a 3x cost mark up so if you use the same multiplier in your video, it more than justifies the price difference.

Just buy Oris or mido. They are long standing heritage brands that are better and cheaper.

Now priced into the realms of longines and not too far behind pre owned tudors with in house calibres, I'm guessing the way they see it is this is just one line of watches and let's face it it's the best one yet, let's see if we can start to break into the level of the market and that's just good business, people who can out and out afford it will be considering other options but people who can't will probably stretch their budget and let's face it that is the majority of CW's customer base

The Tag Heuer Aquaterra or even the Formula 1 Calibre 5 are better options for the money.

I've been looking for a thin titanium diver, these specs are great but the dial is ugly, so so bad. Also should be a 43 option.

@@LukeChristo Have a look at Scrufa, Baltic, Zodiac, Citizen, Tudor, and Omega. They make very nice titanium Divers.

What a load of bull. Essentially the same watch? Apart from a different case and strap material, a different COSC certified movement, a different dial and ceramic infused with BGW9. Apart from that, the same watch 😵‍💫

Christopher Ward is an excellent brand, but only at a sub $1500 price point. They just don't have the cred yet to justify the kind of pricing being sought.

Love that argument, it's amazing how often you hear it when referring to watch purchases. Makes it easier to justify the insane mark-up or a rolex or omega 😆

Oris every time. I have Oris Big Crown and its the best finishing on a watch I've seen in the price range. Ive seen Aquis in person and its a beauty. If you can get it for a bargain do not hesitate.

It's just a money grab from a brand that's surfing the hype. They have a couple nice models, but they should stay at the 1000-1500 euro range. They should change the name tho. Christopher ward sounds kinda silly

You clearly don’t understand where they’ve come from and what they’re trying to do. They sell direct to give quality watches at an affordable price. This watch is still half the price of its competitors in this diver segment such as Tudor. So they give you good watches at an affordable good price.

$100 extra for unique and bespokely cut 18 piece Globolight on the dial? Have you got any idea what you're talking about? The CW has a ceramic bezel too btw You have just shown your utter ignorance (and bias)

Sorry, a hard pass. It has Christopher Ward written on the dial I knew someone by that name and let's just say I couldn't spend that cash on something with name on the dial.

it’s made out of titanium, has a COSC certified movement, lumed ceramic bezel and the lume is ceramic, it’s going to cost more. His proposed alternatives actually cost more and fit more into the standard dive watch style….at which point a Longine or Zodiac on a deal would be better alternatives. The titanium bracelet on the CW is also very very good.
