They show you that this is a thing when you fight at the front gate of the grove, one of the 3 humans or Wyll tosses a potion between whoever is hurting from that group so this is more so a general you just didn't take note of that in the moment thing more than a "Oh they didn't tell us" thing.

Yeah that’s a nice trick. Fortunately, gathering camping supplies is very easy and I’ve never run out of supplies for long rests in both balanced and tactician. However, one thing that you can do is switch characters. If Gale is out of spell slots, you can switch to a character that has been rested. That’s also a good way to have variety in formation.

Sometimes i just go to withers and respec lol. you get reset to lvl 1 hp and as you gain ur max hp back in the lvl up screen you stay at max. also gives the slots and feature charges back.

you can also smash a potion on the ground with your melee weapon if you need to heal all 4. shift click should do the trick.

Grymforge spoikers: A streamer lured the giant construct you have to fight in the forge itself onto the anvil, and then hit it with the hammer. She stood on the avil, too, which would normally kill you outright, but she put down a potion first, so the game went take damage -> heal rather than take damage -> die -> heal

Even better: just drop the potion on the ground, position your party members around it, and attack the potion. Takes aim out of it, and heals EVERYONE

don't place the characters that need healing all next to each other but more in a triangle, then it's much easier to hit all three with one potion

This is just a minor thing How about learning using buffs and protections. Currently I'm like, enemy seems weak... but they have a stupid buff that wrecks the group and I'm like. So start over and try again to properly invest or start going through my inventory and character sheets and see what can I do, do I dare to even respec characters to something else. Whole team, Clerics is the only way? :/

too tedious to make me care about it. im already severely annoyed by the poorly designed inventory UI. and even more so by the skillslot UI. dropped a weapon? well now the skill for that weapon are not in your preffered tab anymore, but in a different one, and you will have to reorganize them. especially helpfull when you are playing as a throwing weapon based build such as the throwbarian (3 eldritch knight/ 9 berserker. super fun build btw. tanky and efficient.). thx larian. the UI is amazingly designed.
