I'm so happy you're showing Skypea some love. In my eyes it's BY FAR the most underrated arc. But the lore it showed and how it made the world feel that much more bigger that it already was, on top of the quality of the animation (the way the fights flowed continuosly and the scenes transitioned damn near like manga panels in the Bellamy fight and the first time Luffy fought Wyper) is the best the series has had only behind Luffy punching the Tenryuubito, even if the art is dated.

He could most likely clap anyone under that level but advanced haki always makes everything so much more complicated to the point where there's an insane level difference between those who have it and those who don't. I'd say pre-timeskip Enel's ceiling is around Doflamingo who would be too much for him. In my opinion a Raigo would be needed to defeat him and Enel wouldn't have time for that, especially since Doflamingo can even make doubles of himself.

In BB´s presence there won´t be any Gear 4th or gears in general and BB is physically a beast. he did quite a lot of damage to ace with just a few punches. remember the disadvantage of the yami no mi? all pain he receives is amplified? and he still took a direct hit from WB but he was just fine after a moment oda made haki to such a big deal for luffy cuz that´s the only way of winning against BB. all his gears will be gone in that fight

This guy still have the largest zone for observation haki in OP. Skypea is composed of 3 islands and this guy can see everything and hear everything in skypea. With devils fruit he doesn't even have to move to attacks you. If you just put a foot in his large haki area he can disintegrate you with his lightning techniques. I agree completely the “god” vs Natural enemy is one of the many things that can possibly be speculated towards the end game of one piece. Joy boy had a great theory of the celestial dragons being moon people and since they see themselves as gods that came and took over the current one piece world it ties into and works well with enel’s character. He’s Very celestial dragon like as well.

If he was a post time-skip opponent people would be saying he's on par or above Katakuri - One-man crew - Listens to whispers on an entire island and obliterate people (or villages) from his throne. - Went to the ******* moon while people struggle to navigate the ocean. - Self-taught not only observation haki but one of the strongest application of it. - Landed, in my opinion, one of the strongest and most versatile DF in the story so far. - Given his god complex, there's no doubt in my mind he, at the very least, COULD learn Conqueror Haki. - Restart his own heart. Something we'd find crafty even for LawÉ - Amassed great wealth and a ship made of gold (IIRC)

@@notgame7578 Enel has displayed beyond any doubt to be top 3 in observation, out of everyone we've ever seen. Arguably the best at it. And in terms of attack potency, he's already displayed feats far greater than any character that isn't Whitebeard. Yes, I do think he probably needs to have learned *something* in order to be a major threat in fights at this point in the story... getting stronger isn't really one of those things. All he actually has to learn is to actually take fights seriously instead of assuming he wins by default without trying. His attack potency, speed, and observation are extremely close to being the best in the entire world already. The only thing in the way is his attitude.

I'm legit curious whether Kaido could survive Enel's strongest attack. I understand why Luffy survives it, but lightning is no joke. At least scientifically it's an extremely overpowered element. No material can withstand it without melting. Even carbon, which has the highest melting point at 4827 °C, would easily melt, as the heat of lightning (around 30 000 °C) easily exceeds the temperature of the surface of the sun (~5500 °C). Then again, rubber should melt too, so...

Lightning or electricity has been so inconsistent in One Piece sadly. There are times where it seems like it can one-shot anyone, and times where it seemingly does nothing but stun for a few seconds. I'd love to think that if Enel's lightning is stronger than anything we've seen from Big Mom's homies, then he could potentially pose a threat to Yonkou. The thing is, we have never seen him use his stronger attacks on strong opponents besides Luffy who is immune. And for the sake of balance, I believe Oda will always ignore electricity's melting potential lol

But I'm not a physicist so making this all scientific I'm risking being wrong. It's a fictional story with magical powers after all, so it's fine if it's not that scientific I guess :)

Thank you for this! Back in the day, this was the arc that got me. I loved the sense of adventure, the increase in scale, and just how perfectly everything wrapped up in the end. I cannot wait for when Enel returns. I think Eneru/Enel desire to take over the moon has something to do with him being a celestial dragon. @@JuraquillleMihawk well remember that the Noah wasn't just sitting around idly, Eneru force the Skypians to build it, it's much more likely he had knowledge of the actual Pluton and built Noah as smaller version of it, remembering that Raigo could destroy a small island like Skypia I don't think it's bold to assume you'd need a larger one to destroy a normal/large island Also remember that Laboon was cheaply inserted into the New World during Fishman Island

okay crackpot theory and spoilers for 1017: whos who showed us that the gomu gomu no mi is of importance for the navy. maybe since its a hard counter to the lighting fruit. what if, and check me out, rocks had the lighting fruit, was pretty much invincible due to that and reigned because of his fruits might. they wanted the gomu gomu no mi so that if someone ever gets that fruit again, theyd be prepared and dont need a roger x garp teammup to stop him. thats all nice and good, i stole that part from reddit and want to share the word, sadly dont have the credit, but heres my addition the island vanished right? maybe into the sky? maybe thats how enel got up there, ate the fruit and everything else since? would explain his affiliation with the sky without having wings for example. or the missing of enels backstory. he possibly has connections to rocks which makes him strive for a goal beyond our understanding, being the moon. ya crackpot theory amirite

When first reading Enel didn't quite hit me as after Crocodile he didn't quite have the same impact to me. But in general Skypiea has really grown on me the more i think about it so I've definitely grown to enjoy him as well
