@@RichardMcLaren Maybe so, but it's a very unforgiving sport. I think Alpine saw disloyalty from him earlier this year when he was clearly trying to get a Merc seat. Those things should be done away from the media and despite their poor performance, Gasly has remained loyal. And to a struggling team loyalty is key. Ocon has blown it and other teams will probably look at that, and his history, as a red flag. 👊

I agree with all of this with the exception of Hulkenberg. He has been having very solid performances at Haas and he definitely deserves a few more years in the sport. But overall yes, a lot of talent is being wasted waiting on the sidelines!

The field was always going to converge but didn’t see it turning out the way it has. Red bull are looking a bit rattled and are clearly having to work a lot harder this year than last. There advantage was so huge last year they were winning at a canter and not having to stretch the car. I still think max will do the WDC again this year but the constructors is definitely up for grabs.

I've been watching since the 80s and in the last 20 yrs the technology has allowed drivers to dominate for way too long. Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton and now Max. Yes they are great drivers but their cars were much faster than everybody else most of the time. Especially Mercedes.

Sainz will be with Audi. Due to the following reasons: 1. Its a Works Team 2. It's a dominant force in Motorsport 3. No one is more determined than an Audi Engineer 4. Andrea Siedl 5. Carlos Sainz Sr. connection to Audi 6. From Start Audi will be a more powerful brand than Williams (in its current form) 7. Helmut Marko admitted that Redbull wanted to sign Sainz but admitted he couldn't manage to match the Audi offer. 8. Audi has more resource and more talent than the likes of Williams, Haas, Alpine and Racing Bulls. 9. Sainz can draw encouragement from the Aston Martin Story. Irrelevant to British Day Dreaming Sainz is enroute to Audi for the aforesaid reasons.

Mclaren runs a successful Indy Car Team (almost won Indy 500 this year). Ferrari has a LMP team who are the reigning champions of Le Mans 24 hours. Alpine has a LMP team. What is the difference between the above two and the following: Redbull Aston Martin Mercedes The difference is: Any and all updates that Mclaren, Ferrari and Alpine brings on their cars are instantly successful, while the updates Rebdull, Aston Martin and Mercedes are at sea with their updates. Hence, isn't it plausible that Mclaren, Ferrari and Alpine have beaten the Budget Cap through their respective involvements in Indy and WEC? Shouldn't we ponder?
