Just because an idol has been in the industry for a long period of time does NOT mean you can run a company. It's all BUSINESS and FINANCE. A more legible person should be someone who knows how the system of the industry works and how to handle money. I think it'd be more fitting if they start out as DIRECTORS first, given their actual previous experience in the industry they would only be focusing on the image and the debuting idols since that is the kind of expertise they would prob have

Mostly because of Keita, who I grew very fond of after watching yg treasure box after becoming a teume in early 2021. When I got interested in Ciipher, was around the same time Keita became my ult bias. But the lack of comebacks and promotions made me uninterested after awhile, and I really never became a fan, but more a casual listener of them. Then now when boys planet happened and Keita was one of the trainees there, it made me very sad, but also hopeful and happy that his incredible talent maybe wouldn’t go to waste. He was my top pick throughout the entirety of boys planet. And now he is getting to debut in EVNNE, with other trainees that didn’t make it in the final lineup of Zerobaseone. I couldn’t be more proud of him❤ It also looks like he might be the leader of EVNNE, which he definitely deserves with his experience in the industry and the many years he was a trainee❤ I also hope nothing but the best for the rest of the members in Ciipher and whatever their future endeavors might be❤

Rain wasn't bad at managing, he chose to put himself in shows instead of his own groups. That's pretty bad considering trainees abandon their futures and have a blank for several years in order to debut. Rain actually debuted them so they wasted additional 2-3 years after debut. Rain knows this. It's almost as if Rain finds it funny to let them experience a spotlight for once, then take it away. They had no comebacks, no shows, no fan meets, nothing. Worst is Rain replaced their appearances, which is simply laughable. Rain knows if he ruins them, they might become unemployed youngsters with no post-secondary academic record maybe cleaning toilets, or might become smalltime nobodies in the entertainment industry scraping by. Basically, this wasn't poor managing, this was Rain having fun toying with the group.

Whatever he's done is very wrong but kpoppies do not need to deny the impact he's had on kpop. Back in the day he was really big and is one of the richest kpop artists too. And this is why he shouldn't have competed with the groups he managed cuz he was big already. They deserved attention and promotion.

I think the hate is well deserved. RAIN had a choice between promoting himself and promoting the group he managed, and he chose himself. Everyone knows unless you are apart of the big 3, becoming popular and STAYING popular is hard. It’s just disrespectful he didn’t do ANYTHING (no advertising, no solo activities, no strong online presence, etc.) with cypher while they were probably watching in grief as their careers faded.

To be fair Ciipher didn't seem like the type of group which would survive in K-pop. I don't mean to be harsh. But k-pop is a relentless world. Even if Ciipher was being managed by other companies they would still disband sooner than expected. Try to see the situation from the perspective of a CEO, especially when you have invested your life in a product. If it's not beneficial, then you gotta pull the plug. Unfortunately it happens often. MBLQ was such a shame though, they could've been as big as 2PM, TVXQ, big bang or other big groups of their generation.

Rain left his company and thought the major share holder JYP would take care of them.wbile he was in the Army which is required. Right, marketing and producing albums need money. So many small and mid size agency's Idol group had one or two comebacks then dissapear. No one blames on their CEO right? Rain is just a public figure so these people have a target to throw arrows into. Rain might not manage them best, but every opportunity that he tried to give need a cost. When those cost didn't add up... It's either continue struggling or say bye2. BTS was almost disbanded while filming I Need You (they had 2 bad album sales), they decide to continue, but not all Idol Group is as lucky as them.

How sad, Rain got me into Kpop- so I was a big MBlaq fan because they were his group. Following them and getting pissed with everyone else at their mis-management. I recall when they released "Be a Man" music video, the last before Thunder (he was the only one announced at the time) left and recall/took a part of the discourse of how horrible management was. JTune camp didn't promote the track AT ALL, their site/youtube was *nothing but* MadTown which made me feel bad for the boys who had worked really hard for this. To see that he failed once (our thought at the time was he bit of more than he could chew) JUST to do it again years later is crazy.

Yeah, he's so 'boycotted' that he has more than one and a half million subscribers to his YT Channel Season B Season. Also, yes, there were some Petty Patties and toxic Stans there booing and turning their lights off, but there was no 'Black ocean', it was more like a 'Who's that guy?' ocean. Rain's an OG Kpop idol/Hallyu star and a lot of the young and/or new to Kpop attendees just didn't know who he was. As for the dragging him all over the internet because of the status of groups he has involvement with, that's just more Toxix-Standom b.s. Even now,, with Ciipher, the complaints are ridiculous. First of all, they're still green and several members left (amicably), so expecting him to ham-hand them in to a show of headliners when they're not at that level and are in the midst of transitioning and adjusting to the new line up, is immature af. It's Toxic-fandoms and evil netizen gossip sites and channels like this one that cause emotional trauma and trigger mental health issues and break downs and even cost people their lives. How many artists have to commit suicide, have nervous break downs, be forced to rake career breaks for mental health treatment, or end up with charges from self-medicating with drugs and alcohol to cope with the trauma? What's even worse, is how many of the malicious rumours and false accusations end up being exposed after someone's whole career and life have been ruined, or like the recent case, where an actor took his life over a black mail scam that became chum for the sharks on social media and in the kceleb news/gossip circles. Thanks to Dispatch, we now know that his drug tests were clean and he was begging for the police to keep the situation private until a proper investigation was finished. His lawyer also implored the police to do a lie detector test, but was denied both requests. Instead, as he feared and as his petition to the police predicted, the entertainment/gossip sites, channels, social media and evil netizens took what limited, unfounded info was available and they ran with it. Everyone was sh*tting all over his career, his marriage, his character, his whole family and even after he died, even after we saw his tests were clean, there was no proper/complete investigation yet and despite the leaked texts of his blackmailers planning and then bragging and laughing about scamming an innocent man, as well as knowing now that they were going to fleece his wife to, a lot of these inhuman keyboard assassins didn't feel an ounce of remorse, some even doubled down. People have asked "Why did he pay up if they were lying?". Of COURSE he's gonna pay up, because even a whiff of a rumour of doing drugs could end his career. As for the infidelity? Many Korean Artists have paid off blackmailers even though they were not guilty, because they've seen what happens when you don't (for most). Kim Hyun Joon for example, who stopped paying his blackmailing ex and had his career ended at the height of his success. Everyone HATED him and believed the accusations because it was his ex gf. Turns out, she was lying and fabricated texts between them, where he 'admitted' to abusing her, she manufactured and doctored photos and medical records, and schemed it all up with her friend and her mother. Dispatch, then eventually the police released text messages used as evidence in court, where she discussed her plans with her mom and friend, including a particularly damning one where her mom tells her to keep up the charade of reconciling (yes this idiot took her back after the first blackmailing round) for a few more months in order to make sure she got knocked up, so they could take him for everything he had financially. This woman ended up going to jail for her crimes in the end, but she was still given custody and has withheld the child from him since birth. When she was dragging him and leaking all her 'evidence', this man was treated like Satan, but after his name was cleared, his innocence was barely ever mentioned by any of the sites, channels, etc...who were vehemently condemning him. As a result, his career in Korea is permanently over, because in S.Korean society and in the Kpop/Kceleb world, anyone with a negative rumour or an accusation against them is guilty until proven innocent, then they're STILL guilty afterwards in the insane, biased twisted minds of Toxic standoms and evil netizens. As for the infidelity of the Squid Game actor, whether that's true or not, it's between him and his wife, NOT the world at large. THIS CHANNEL CREATOR SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEIR SELF as should anyone partaking in this toxicity.

Well said, channels like these have to say something about their idol's idol because their bias could never replace them.

There’s people who have uploaded his full performance. If you look in the audience it’s definitely darker than if you compare it to Taemin, or really any other artist who was there, even the lesser known ones. Every artist is going to still have fans no matter what they do, so of course he’ll still get cheers and singing, but there was definitely less feed back compared to other performers. I didn’t hear any booing though, so I think the articles exaggerated what happened but it was a lot darker during his performance than everyone else’s

this is so stupid. seriously if u own a company, invest and selling products, but products didnt give profit u expected, will u still invest in it and keep losing profit? fan only see idol as idol, but company see them as product. it not easy to raise an idol group, but it more harder to maintain it. rain might be 1 of investor and manage them, but im sure there are alot of other investor involved. decision probably not by him alone. in the end, ppl just want someone to be blame off.

OR, don't start a company if you've failed repeatedly, knowing that your promotional abilities are limited, put young teens through years of grueling training and all the sacrifices which that encompass and blame them to their faces for not performing to your liking in an industry in which success hinges 99% on marketing which is the CEO's/management's job.

I first heard of Rain when he stared at Speed Racer. Then I came upon to listen his music. He was a international global icon but movies like Ninja Assassin and The Prince bombed in the box office which limited his time in the US market. Remixing Gang revived his career. From JYP to R.A.I.N Company hasn’t worked out at all though despite he’s still the king of KPOP today ❤.

I'm a casual fan of rain but this is a fair assessment. If you fuck up the careers of people you're gonna get backlash 💀genuinely hoping that he learns his lesson and either never puts out another group again, or actually ensure good management (undoubtedly he's not the ONLY guy in charge of everything but he needs to find better people). I fear this is a case of older successful kpop artists wanting to leave even more of a legacy on kpop, but he needs to maybe just let it go.

I don't remember who said it, (I think it was either Jay Park or Zico, who are creating / had created their kpop boy groups) but boy groups make a lot of money once they are successful. I think Rain just wanted the easy-cash and then dump them before they got bigger than him. Rain needs a wakeup-call that he is no longer famous, especially after he got married (which is a common reason most idol-fans leave).

I’ve heard that the crowd did him pretty damaged during his performance in KCON-LA. Now if there is any Boys group wants to sign their contracts with his agency, it would be a big challenge to make themselves a name, seems like he has a problem with managing his company and he still can’t let go of his past success as a K-pop idol. IMO he has to step back and only focusing on one thing. He just can’t fund himself to gain spot light by using income of these boys.
