I started keto in February and so far have lost lot 20lbs. This is the best I’ve felt in years and I have tried so many different diets.

All that's old is new again. My father in the early 1960s would expound on the ketogenic diet at our dinner table. He lifted weights 5 days per week back then.

77 years of age and100% carnivore for many years. Resistance training 5 times per week good muscle density. No veg fruit grains seed oils, no carbs never been better.

Your principles are good but the human body does not need carbs.consuming carbs can result in many additional negative health problems in time

The issue with flexibility is that some of us just aren't for a variety of good reasons. If this was Marcia Sisson, 10 years post menopause and she had a typical perimenopause experience, I might take this at face value. The reason why many of us avoid carbs is because we are naturally more insulin resistant (women losing their sex hormones), or we have addictions and carbs sadly can retrigger addictions. Abstinence is better than perfect moderation. Optimal? Maybe not. But all this yoyoing of weight has a lot to do with keto then ketoish cycling. I have been gaining and losing 30 pounds every year since 2016, when i had a thyroidectomy. Couple this with menopause and the cortisol of suddenly needing to be the sole breadwinner to support my kids, and you have a recipe for personal health disaster. Fasting, keto, weights and hrt are helping me lose the 30 pounds. I have given up on keto or fasting being therapeutic for a short period of time. I am going to have to fast and do keto for the rest of my life to cope with the changes.

Metabolic health and flexibility is my target! It's not about WOE, weight, counting macros. Those may be tools but not the target! Thanks for the info!

QUESTION: how long does it take to build the metabolic machinery to be able to be metabolically flexible? I’ve heard about 2-3 months. Is this correct? And do you need to be in ketosis 24/7 for that time to become fat adapted? Thanks!

Okay, First off I'm not trying to be difficult, but I'm just a little confused because in the email I got which led me to this Video you are holding a book that say's " Keto for Life " but then when I watched the Video it sounded like You were Saying that we shouldn't be Keto for Life, Did I misunderstand? There is no such thing as a keto deficiency. This guy is jacked up on serious stimulants, and will have messed up thyroid function for the rest of his life, Carbs FTW!! 💪💪💪

There's no such thing as a carb deficiency. People following low-fat and hi-carb for years are fatter and sicker than ever. It kills you long term. Keto or carnivore are evolutionary and suitable for our species.
