Been listening to you and following your advice as much as possible. The last 2 days has been the best in 3 years! My pain is down, and my head feels clearer! That's HUGE! I've literally begged several doctors for help for years, and they just want to put me on meds for life. One week after following you, I am feeling much more like myself. Hugest of hugs for what you're doing! I hugged my partner this morning and told him I feel so much better, and he was so happy he almost cried. I've been almost bed ridden with my symptoms, and I have been up and working for 2 days! Just wow!🎉❤ Life changer.

The American Heart Association started working for Procter & Gamble about 100 years ago, and it's been downhill for American heart health ever since.
@sidsnyder80434 ай бұрын
Good Morning America had a dietician on their morning show claiming there are new studies showing olive oil is a magical substance. I can't wait to read these magical studies, and the proof it illustrates. I think I will stick to my animal fats and butter, containing important fatty acids, and fat soluble vitamins the body needs.
@dawnelder90464 ай бұрын
Cold pressed, pure fruit oils are great for homemade mayo for deviled eggs at the family barbecue. Better, homemade salad dressings, except ranch which can be made with yogurt, butter milk or keifer. But for everyday use animal fats are the most nutritional option.

Cold pressed evoo is very healthy, try convincing the blue zone people otherwise, they've been using it for centuries and are far more healthy than north America

Ultra Processed foods: seed oils, vegetable oils, sugar and grains. What to do about it can be summed up in one word: JERF (Just Eat Real Food) I will also throw in that all grains consumed by traditional cultures are soaked, spouted or fermented.

The old JERF phrase from my friend Sean Croxton, I love it!!
@BreetaiZentradi4 ай бұрын
@@KetoKamp Sean was the man with in depth videos with plenty of research and science. Whenever I watch some video on health and nutrition with my wife. After listening to all the details on what to eat and what not to eat. You can typically sum it all up by just saying JERF. The thing that started me on my health journey more than a decade ago was one simple statement: If it comes in a package with a picture of food on it, it is not real food.

Dr. O, thank you! For the past 6 years, I have subscribed to Dr. Joel Wallach's Youngevity system. It has improved my health enormously. The things you talk about (cholesterol, foods, heart disease) validates his decades of findings. It feels awesome to know I'm on the right track. BTW, I've been a practicing RN since 2008 and have witnessed many of the stories you talk about.

I remember the American Heart Association promoting margarine for decades. Later it was shown hydrogenated oils, like margarine, were terrible culprits. It was also known as far back as the 1950s.

Re: the carbs conundrum 20:00 An additional mechanism? (an informed hypothesis) Blood sugar spikes (among other factors) wash out the _vascular endothelial glycocalyx._ This is a structure that is not shown in medical textbook illustrations. It is only recently that it has been visualized in vivo. The glycocalyx acts as a shield for the endothelial layer. It is also a 'flow sensor' and controls the release of Nitrous Oxide (NO) for BP control (vasodilation). It takes the glycocalyx multiple hours to recover. With the shields down, the endothelial layer is exposed to all of the toxins that make it into the bloodstream, oxidized products and LDL remnants. Continuous consumption of carbohydrates never allows the glycocalyx to fully recover. It is a one-two punch, a binary explosive. Excess inflammatory factors *WHILE* the shields are down. If you study just one factor, you might miss it (as was stated). Why would we have such a fragile structure for these mechanisms that protect us? The flight-or-fight response. "Adrenaline (later, cortisol continues the response) is released which triggers the release of blood sugar (glucose) and fats from temporary storage sites in the body. These nutrients flood into the bloodstream, supplying energy to all parts of the body." The glycocalyx is washed out, preventing the release of NO and causing blood pressure to rise as heart rate and blood flow increase. That gets the energy and hormones to every nook and cranny of every capillary. This does increase our exposure to the {toxins}, but _Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures._ Being in that state chronically (for one example, sleep apnea) is deadly. thanks for the interview!

It's Mother's Day as I am reading this, Ben. What a telling anecdote about your mother's protecting your health with what she knew, that the fried chicken restaurant that she worked for had healthier oils only every 14 days. Bless her heart. I wonder if her example has led to your own pro-health approach to nutrition and your own nurturance of this generation? Kudos to you and to your mother on this day, Ben, and thank you for all that you do.
