Fortnite are liking the metaverse, but these days they are honoring fortnites roots more than ever.. they constantly use brite bomber, jonsey, and other og skins in most promontional stuff, and they always reference older chapters, like reload being C1 inspiref, and chapter 5 being heavily linked to chapter 2

I would say even if jonesy dies, he isnt technically dead, well part of him at least as there is so many version of him, heck chapter 3 literally had a village of snapshots of jonesy. Its likely we may lose the original jonesy but we wont truly lose him as we will just get him as a snapshot, his last snapshot, Similiar to imagined who died during c3s2 event, in the comics, yet she was still on the map next season. But will jonesy die? Its likely but he won't be gone even when that happens.

Although the slone example is quite a good argument, jones has been proven to be ignorant about a lot of the iO’s inner workings, mainly cause he thought Gunnar was Geno. Also I think slones survival is also good evidence to proof their inability to die. As well as this when a character dies in reality zero they become trapped in the loop (this is the in universe reason why you can play as the storyline characters), which jones has been trapped in before and escaped from.

I really hope he doesn't get replaced or removed. I started in Chapter 2 Season 5, when Agent Jones started to play a bigger part in the story (I watched the device event on KZbin), I experienced his journey through the rest of Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter OG and this Chapter. I think he was also in Chapter 4 too but I can't remember. It would be soul crushing if they got rid of him and replaced him with his past self, or Hope. Hope is cool and all but I never managed to get the same attachment to her as I did to him.

The fact they dressed Jones as Captain America, could show him leave the same way as Captain America did in Endgame. Think about it, Jonesy is immortal in the zero point, and his wife and kid are dead now. And we have a time machine from chapter 4. What if he uses it the same way Captain America did to be with Carter... so Jonesy can go back in time to reunite with his wife and kid. So maybe not kill him off, but left to live his life. Maybe this is the chapter where we lose the zero point for good, to move onto a new storyline.

I just have to imagine it being like the fight between Thanos and Ironman. But instead it's Dr Doom and Captain Jones. Dr Doom almost kills him and says "I hope they remember you" and before he does that hope steps in and stops him. Mabye she takes the shield and tries to fight him but fails. And then something happens where Dr Doom disappears but also the Chapter 5 map and we somehow end up on Chapter 2. Very important i hope they dont kill Dr Doom because he is too powerful. But as i said something that happens where he disappears but not dead.

So, Jones may be getting killed. I’m sure he will return. But what ever happened to characters like the Seven? Kado Thorne? The Herald? Cube queen? They all just dipped. Kado and Herald were presumed to be dead, but there are signs of them still being out there, the Cube queen is most likely dead, and the seven are corrupted. When will they bring these guys back? We don’t need that overrated fodder Midas or random characters like hope. So far everyone in chapter 5 just disappeared. Montague and Valeria? Gone. Hades, Ares, and the greek pantheon? (excluding Zeus) gone. Megalo Don? Supposedly missing. The whole wanderer thing feels last second too. Doom being the Wanderer never really fit to begin with. Doom is very egotistical and dramatic, so hiding in the shadows is not like him, simply hiding in general. Also why the hell would a MARVEL be on pandora’s box? Doom has no relation to greek mythology whatsoever, and it makes sense why it was scrapped. It probably wasn’t even the plan to have Doom be the wanderer to begin with. All that buildup just for it to be a marvel character that can’t even die because Disney probably won’t allow it? We’re already witnessing Disney ruin Fortnite. If Mustard was still here maybe characters like Kado Thorne would still be here. His last character, thrown away. This storyline sucks. Get mad at me or whatever, but it is just terrible now. I’ve had enough of Midas, yet Epic still wants to milk the shit out of him and bring him back again. The ch2 OG will only have the first 3 seasons rather than the arguably better ones like season 4 and 7. Just keep Midas dead. Kado should be mire relevant too for being the one to kill him too. The shark never killed Midas, the shark killed a snapshot, who is now Shadow Midas. Thorne needs to return. He was actually an interesting villain, and they threw him out the window only for him to be hiding in a little house doing nothing.
