@@KingsNJenssons originally, the fog was used in silent hill to hide how low the draw distance of an original ps1 was when using such high quality assets, the guys point is that in the remake the fog is present and yet the draw distance is absurdly high considering how much of it you can actually see

You can learn something new each minute if you desire. Besides, in the books, you're led to believe that Ciri could or couldn't become a witcher, as the idea behind the Child of Destiny becoming one without the trials is a myth, a legend. My best guess is they just made her one for gameplay's sake. Not the best reason, but it's like a "fair enough" kinda reason, I'd say.

With the fire thing xqc saying to basically burn where the fire hasn't reach yet so it doesn't spread further, could work but there's a lot of factors that would make it pretty much impossible; the size of the fire, to be able to cut off a fire that size would be pretty much impossible you would have to burn the area Infront of it inhumanly fast and as well as the geography because the areas so mountainous. We do a similar thing here in Australia to cut off fires but 1. We do it before it reaches that size otherwise you're basically cooked and have to use conventional means and 2. Our entire country's geography is pretty much Ohio so you don't really have to worry about mountains so much.

6:50 That's not how it works. Developers can run on worse hardware intentionally so that they can test how well their optimized their game is. This could be done by using MSConfig and disabling cores off of your CPU, Downclocking your CPU in the BIOs, Downclocking your GPU using MSI afterburner, using 1 Less stick of RAM and so on. Infact, some developers do it this way still, that what you're supposed to do if you have already good specs. But also, the point is to optimize the game to run well on older hardware, while still having the "look" you're going for. Battlefield 1 is the best optimized game to date, nobody ever and i mean ever made a better optimized game than Dice in 2016. Dice did fell off later on, and with their newer games like every other studio, got lazy and stopped optimizing their games, along with tons of bugs that get left over upon early access or first months of release with their games. It's always the developers fault when the game runs bad, and that's why it needs to change, if nobody says anything, they're gonna keep trying to make 30 FPS the standard along with making stupid decisions when it comes to overall game mechanics that aren't done even at release.

I don't want to be that guy. But actually you can stamp on the enemies in SH 2 all you want and swing your ending to a different one almost at the end. I spent a lot of time with Maria, destroyed everything that moves on a map, broke every glass on every car and building. And in the corridor where Mary was Yapping at the end all I did was look at her photo for all of her dialogue and I got Leave ending. (Yeah I looked at photo once before that but in order to inspect it)

I agree that game developers should be able to make a game optimized enough to run the games with the current tools we have available But I think if you are playing your games with ray tracing max resolution and everything else you can put on max you are a lobotomite Like if you want to do that then yeah ok thats chill But there is no reason to have max settings on a game ever tbh I mean Im on the opposite end of the spectrum where I just put my graphics as low as possible without it becoming really ugly Like shadows have to be on and they have to be convincing If the shadows are blocks or there arent any shadows I just cant immerse myself in the game most of the time So yeah better graphics should be strived for I agree and game optimizing should be a PRIORITY when making games But if you actually care about ray tracing then I'm convinced youre one of those guys that says stupid shit like "oh yeah I cant play older games they just dont look realistic enough" Graphics are not everything gamers
