My biggest disincentive to buying GT7 is the online requirement for single player content. We know those servers will be shut down. I love to revisit games from decades past - that doesn't stop me from buying modern games too, but knowing I won't be able to revisit a modern game later on definitely WILL stop me buying it!

add fire-five tracks and 10 or so championships plus a similar amount of endurance races 3:13 which actually utilizes the variety of tracks, weathers and car classes thats already in + sophy and VOILA the game is up with the classics and everbody should be happy.

Spot on, Kireth. PD should be ashamed of themselves. I'm a die-hard GT7 fan, too, but their approach is lazy, arrogant, and inexcusable, as you said. With streamers such as yourself, Rory, Super GT, and even Kie streaming Forza at the same time as GT7's servers are down, I hope this puts pressure on PD to finally up their game. TBH, I don't think this will happen 😢

If Kaz had his own way, GT7 would purely focus on online racing features which in themselves are broken in its current form. The single player mode is merely just an afterthought, the updates hardly keep players interested. Adding new cars seems like a waste of time when there are no new tracks. What would I add to this game? Nothing because it won’t be worth it in the long run. For now, I’m enjoying Forza 7, although as you pointed out the credit system has its flaws.

Your answer is development has been shelved. The product is not bringing in money, so they cannot devote resources to it. Its a business first, and honestly I've had the game since release, and still I'm waiting for the FULL GAME to come out. This trickle content nonsense was dumb. I'd have rather had micro transactions for livery skins than drip content.

PD said covid slowed them down and put them behind and that's why the game wasn't in great shape. After the excuse, they did almost nothing to make up for it. The only thing that really got better was online racing. When you look at the problems list, it's almost exclusively online racing issues. Single player has been less than an after thought. With Forza coming out they're now scrambling a bit. I have no respect for the management team. They clearly have quite talented artists and programmers though. I'm going to assume the worst with the next PD offering. I have no faith in them. Now they're adding an ice track that absolutely no one was hoping for. They seem lost.

The update that was rumored to fix the roulette managed to give me a gold brick.. Once. Then it went right back to the bare minimum. It's insulting to our intelligence to have to watch that roulette spin, knowing we're going to get the absolute minimum payout. A roulette wheel should be 100-percent random. No exceptions. They added PSVR2 which is the single add-on that revolutionized race gaming on other level... this by itself worth the price of the game and then some... I guess we can always want more, but for me I would rather have psvr2 than extra mission or rain on all circuit... this can come later... I'm a happy camper !

I find the biggest issue is the grind through daily races to improve DR where all your races are against the same SR rating up until the point u need one more good race to get promoted and it throws you in with a shitload of scumbag sr-c's 🤦😂

I would like to see what tyres other drivers are on in the Hud. And some sort of notification of whether they've pitted. All it would need is a coloured dot and a p. Also your time differences from all the other drivers on the hud rather than just the ones next to you and the leader. When your looking for a lobby it would be good to see if the race is on before you enter it like it used to show on sport.

I have to agree with alot of this, I specially feel the part that only Saturdays is race day. I work in the car business and Saturdays are the busiest days for us so IF I'm lucky and i can leave right on time I may make it to the very last slot available, or the other option I have is that I luckily have a super cool stepson that will try and sign me up and if needed he can do my qualifying laps. and this is cause i work 6 mins from my house, imagine if I didnt.

I really enjoy the driving dynamics of GT7, the cars do generally feel very accurate, there’s so much untapped potential… More single player races would be fantastic for me at this point as I’ve done pretty much all of it in a couple of months.

There are no Group 2 events and so much more. If you release a partical car 🚗 it needs a reason to drive with. Also like you said, these prices are astronomical. I have some 20K cars (the old 20, 30, 40 classics 😅) with no single event available. Everybody is complaining. We the single player community, and also the online player community. So I believe with only 13 procent online players Kaz and everyone at PD made this game for themselves so they can drive an ambulance 🚑 in the game. The game is very sick, maybe already dead. What's next Citroën Ami?

GT Sport had a little over 300 Single Player Events. GT7 has about 170. The sheer amount of things that are supposed to be in a numbered GT that are missing, is insane. And even if you get past that, youre still surrounded by issues everywhere you turn. Yet, youre only the 3rd or so? KZbinr to criticize this. Gt7 is being artificially propped up. Kireth honestly this is a great take lol. First time watching the full one after seeing it pop up in shorts. But yea i definitely got my 70 dollars worth after a year and change. In reality it cost me hundreds because of VR and loadcell etc. This game really should be so much better. The bones are there.. its just lacking content which is bizzare considering i got the platinum and have put close to 1000 hours into it. Any game that gets you a 1000 hours is a win. Its just GT7 could of been incredible and it still could. Enough of this tight lip nonsense drip feed. Fix the damn game listen to the community and watch your game continue to be successful. What do they care though? They fresh off the Hit Movie and gt world series nonsense. Where's the gran turismo we were promised. Agree, and a lot of the issues should be quite trivial to solve. We're not asking for too complicated things or actual "new content", wer'e aware that New Tracks and New Cars take time... Just re-use correctly what is already in the game and hire some expert in UI/UX to make it easier to navigate in the UI. For example the preview of your current car at the top of the menu, SHOULD be a button that takes you to your garage so you can choose another car. I should be able to choose a car and see which races I can participate with it, and jump right to it. Creating new events with the current tracks should be easy they're just settings, there should be 30 min or 60 min races for any track, that should not be hard, so people could grind on whatever track they enjoy the most, not just Spa, Le Mans, Tokyo and Sardegna. Rainy weather on all tracks should be easier than creating a new track, yes they may need to create new materials, shaders, define the puddles areas, to some weather thing, but I think they could do that. And yes, Changing liveries and other actions in the game take too unnecessary many steps. Even your example of buying with real money a 20 million credit car, is not "easy", you have to purchase 10 time the 2 million IAP, instead of just paying the $200 USD which is absurd, to pay for a car, but still, that highlights their usability and UX problem, you can't just give them $200 dollars in one purchase, even if you wanted!.

Personally I love GT7 and the addition of VR has been an absolute game changer, although bizarrely I now get motion sickness from flat screen driving. More tracks, cars and features have been good but I hope it doesn’t stop there and the content keeps building, especially historic GT circuits, although in their original state. I’d like to see more focus on people’s liveries, the potential to auction or sell your cars to other gamers and the occasional big win on the roulette which has never happened for me. Never really had an issue with in game currency as I do the time trials and don’t really have a wish list I’m trying to fulfil, however I do feel the developers are trying to keep us poor for some reason. Maybe a bit more generosity would go a long way.

I do certainly agree with the weather, why on earth do we not have weather on every track? It can't be that hard, can it? Several things that has bothered me, I play GT Sport alot and liked it. League racing, Sport Mode was very interesting for a while, cars and tracks were decent. Livery editor is awesome But GT7 feels like a GT Sport 2.0 in a way. All the same cars are there, with some new additions. I only go for racecars, and GT has had so many nice cars in their roster before, yet we have not gotten them back. LMPs, GT1s etc. We are also missing many modern racecars, in GT3 for example. And they ruined Gran Valley! But the one thing I think that's killing the game right now, it's the updates. They are so bare boned and boring that I don't feel any interest when an update is released anymore. Nothing that makes me go, oooh I want to try that. I don't think we will get any more tracks now, and cars are just bare minimum. Yes yes, the updates are free but the game is already dying. If they want to keep GT7 going, they need to give the community something big, and soon. Especially now, when Forza is back

Yepp. The “free update” is nothing but cover-ups for their slow working pace. It’s there so people wouldn’t say any negative things about their half-assed efforts. At this point it’s better for them to be honest if they actually want paid content releases like other companies from the first hand. Sure, there might be a huge amount of backlashes but if they did it properly by having a justifiable amount of paid contents, people might find themselves to get along with this route rather than having low-tier “free” drip fed contents that didn’t really gave anything positive for the whole community. My guess regarding weather is that because of how complex their weather is, alot probably has to be baked in, meaning that if my hunch is correct, the only way they can offer the full weather experience you want is to create a special variant of the event/track that has that extra stuff baked in, at the cost of other aspects of the track, that would be hidden behind the rain/fog Either that or they don`t care

Ok. So I explained why people are never going to get paid for liveries a couple of months ago but I will do so again... The reason is that the decals that people use to mimic real life liveries, or even make fantasy liveries with real life decals are all trademarked and or copyrighted material. The manufacturers/companies currently allow their logos in the game for free. BUT....I can guarantee that if people started getting PAID for using that trademarked or copyrighted property those companies would immediately STOP allowing that use until THEY got their cut.

I played the game through and did all the missions. I really disliked that I had to get all the licenses and drive some meaningless Lada Cups in order to get Nordschleife and Monza. The actual driving physics are very good and classic cars like Jaguar XJ220, Porsche 993/964 are a thrill to drive. The physics can't touch Assetto Corsa of course but among the best of the rest. Hotlapping is really enjoyable. GT Sport was much nicer as it's was so much easier to get the tracks and the cars.

Can I start by saying that I'm 42 years old, I grew up playing singleplayer games and I still do. GT is pretty much a demo since GT Sport, and even with the fact that GT Sport had basically no content for a solo, I still have logged 1,079 hours on the game and I have never raced once online. So I think that says a lot for the franchise but I can't understand why it's asking too much to have the old style solo campaign like I fell in love with on GT3. Where there are series and events that I must possess the licenses to in order to partake in the league the licenses are for. GT Sport made it easier to select a track and all the modifiers I wanted for the track and the opponent cars, within a couple of screens. I'm finding it more difficult to select what tracks and layouts I want on 7 because I no longer have them all in front of me on one screen, from one list. Oh and you have to go to your garage first and get in the car you want to drive instead of simply looking at my garage from the custom race menu (if I'm missing an easier way please enlighten me). Now on 7 choosing the opponent gr is simple enough, but I kinda miss the N100-N1000 class for cars that don't fall into gr's 1,2,3,4 and B (let's forget x ever existed). Sport made it really easy for me to test my skill against gr 4 and 3 in the maclaren f1 and any other N rated car against any higher rated race specs. I'm not really sure how to make that easy on 7 and to easily switch my road car for another road car, whilst keeping the opponent cars set to say gr 4 for example.

Agreed. GT sport, while it was marketed and intended to be e-sport game, ironically had better single player contents. It seems that with GT7, PD wanted to nails both e-sport and classic GT-style single player side of experience into a singular game. Well, they did it somehow, but in the worst kind of efforts that players could’ve imagined. While I’m still at this, i think PD could’ve done better job and be more communicative with their fanbases since all the drip-fed content updates didn’t help much for the game longevities.

I like the Historical Cars that never afford & disappearing into million dollar collections. But here I can’t afford them either even bought the game. Then I can’t race them in single user cause no Historic Racecar Comp. I took ages to buy a MkIV & race it against GT4 cars, I am saving since Christmas for Shelby Daytona currently at 12mil but will have no where to race it anyway. Cheers

He totally forgets that when big seasonal championships end you get huge bonuses for each event you participated depending on your performance, which can net you 10 000 000+ cr in a moment if you are in top split. More than that. Weakly (sometimes 2 a week) time trials which gives 2 000 000 if you are in 3% from top time (which I cannot do). So if you are participating regularly and you are GOOD, you can get 20mil no problem without single player races. I am not defending prices, they are insane for some cars. But still, if you play, you get rewards, on top of mentioned above, yeah... roulette...

I would love Sophie as well (adjustable as I can't beat the best one so would need to tune her down or when/if I beat her turn her up) but she will not be available as she doesn't work on PS4 & PD want to keep cross platform support to help keep numbers up. I am really hoping that PD are actually working hard to get a PS5 only GT8 up & running ASAP with Sophie in all single player races & available for online racing to fill grids that are not full. If PD delay getting Sophie out for us to race against for too long they are going to be beaten at the post by another racing game. Come on PD support your player base, both online & single.

I just bought the game a couple of months ago. I'm a single player type. I finished all the default menus. No one wants to say that the content design tries to push you to spend real money, but that's what it feels like. The variety of default races and payouts are absolute garbage. Why are there only three races where you can make money. I absolutely hate the simulated tire and fuel wear. Just give me actual hundred lap races. Actual 24-hour races, why wouldnt they have this when the PS5s sleep mode works so well. Yes I understand there's a lot of credits available from missions and the circuit experience, but I'm not particularly interested in those. Why are there no simulated leagues. Why is the AI so trash still. Why do I have to start at the back of the pack when there is no qualifying. I just have to say that I'm overall quite disappointed. And to be clear I'm disappointed because the game feels absolutely great to play. It feels the most like driving a real car that I've ever experienced. The art direction and the smoothness of the game are really great. There are so many cars in the game that there are simply no reason to use. I really hope some point we get the inside scoop at what's going on in those developers offices, because we all know that many developers are extremely passionate, and I feel like you can pretty much guarantee that many of those developers have pointed out all of these flaws.

this ONLY things I'll complain about with GT7 is internet NAT type 3 aka hotspots aint supported for lobbies, there is no track maker system, Nürburgring has to low of a pay out for its races, all races need a payout raise so we done farm for 8hrs just to get 1 car, and last but not least GET RID ON THE DUMB FORCED INTERNET CONNECTION I just like tons of others think its pretty dumb that even though we cant play online but have to be connected to internet to save our progress.

They should honestly just have the famous highways connecting dealerships around the world in there region with the racetracks connected as well for free roam they should add a simulated track day make lobbies bigger than 16 for player created lobbies they need more group 4 3 2 1 races championships and make all times of day and weather available make the cpu better cleaner racing clean up the pit times to change tires fuel add more race cars and tracks like you said and give us data to read so we can tune properly give us a race team like dirt did that we can upgrade and get better as a driver In some sort of career mode

I want all cars added as offline content. And i want all tracks added as offline content. I want to be able to play fully offline without the need to be on the internet But most of all: i want to be able to opt out of the online content if im an offline content. 140gb of game and considering how little there is offline 80% of this is for online content. Taking away my hard drive space. That's insane. The fact that I'm considering going back to gt sport since the offline content there feel fuller is insane.. I paid 70bucks out of this to have a glorified demo of a huge game and if i want more i need to pay a subscription fee for ps plus to acesss it. That's insane for me. Its hard to defend the game when it feels the offline parts of it was an afterthought as if no one wants ti play by themselves. Its so fucking annoying. At least let me opt out of the extra size of files for online subscription content. Make the game size more manageable.

Its the main series GT with the least content since GT1. The devs have been lazy with new content, it was rushed out and they should really release it for PC, its basically easy money to fund further development for both formats.

The grind is just too much. Cars are too expensive and the rewards are too small. People have jobs and lives to lead. Not everyone can just sit down and grind for 8 hours a night just to get a cool car. Things like that simply sucked the fun out of the game. I loved the gran turismo series. GT7 kinda broke me.

Great video mate! Personally, as a GT fan, i agree with you 300%. Content for single player is none existent, there is a HUGE lack of 80/90's cars, there is a HUGE lack of tracks! The roullete system.. oh man.. I have so many saved clips literally being ROBBED the full prize because of this Polyphony Digital RIGGED roulette.. They are doing this to their own community! Sports mode being completely UNPLAYABLE for TWO WEEKS! TWO WEEKS to get a f*cking patch man! I love Gran Turismo, but honestly probably i wont be buying another GT title in the future, unless BIG BIG changes come around. Im also not sure if Gran Turismo will ever be the same as the old titles. The brand wont die, but it will continue to bleed for years to come. Unless SONY steps in a change something. Polyphony Digital got LAZY! Just one note that im not sure if you talked aobut in your video.. Offline players dont actually have access to most features. It sucks.

I wouldn't say it failed. I wish it was like Gran Turismo 4 but with the new cars added on of course. Forza is norhing to compare to though! Forza is trash. I stopped playing with 7.

Very well put! They totally ruined the concept of gran turismo games... Also... how the f*ck do they managed to screw up the multiplayer mode.everything is so laggy all the time and this completely ruins the experience
