I remember when those came out they were $299. When I lived in a condo in Florida I needed a decent pair of headphones for late night stuff and I went to look for these and they were down to $99! Found a pair of refurbished ones on Amazon back then for $68 and never looked back. Every now and then sweetwater runs them for $75. A few of my pairs need new pads on the ears but oh well

new ear pads aren't so bad and definitely worth it. i recently had a pair that broke within a year of purchase and Sennheiser just sent me a new pair

@@MadeOnTape yeah, it’s nice having repair parts available. I found OEM pads on Amazon cheap that have held up fine so far. I’ll reorder for the rest of my collection at some point.

You’re bang on about consistent listening environment. Years ago I mixed an album on €20 Sony headphones and I was delighted with it. But I knew exactly how music I like sounded on those cans - I’d owned 6 pairs of them over the previous few years.

@@MadeOnTape For years (decades?) he was all about the MDR-7506s BUT he recently got sponsored by Audeze so... that's what he uses (and recommends) now, lol.

For only $100 that’s not a bad deal at all. I used to use this one type of Sony headphones but they wound up discontinuing them so I might pick these up.

some people find them to be tight on the head for longer periods, but I like the isolation

When i connect them with my laptop , the sound comes in mono , and if the mono audio option is turned off , the sound doesn't come properly , please help me😭

the headphones? what kind of laptop is it? are you able to listen in stereo with other headphones or earbuds?

@@MadeOnTape Thank u for replying 😊 , when i connect consumer type headphones , they work fine , but when i connect hd 280 pro , sound is not coming properly , my laptop is hp core i5 windows 11

What's an awesome set of wired headphones for bass? I don't like overly bright highs like "Focal" drivers typically offer but definitely like detailed with amaaaazing bass. Something like what Momentum 3 offer but in an over-ear wired headphone.

this is an excellent question that's out of my wheelhouse. I try to use headphones that have a relatively "flat" response by brands like BeyerDynamic and Sennheiser. If price isn't an issue, I've used Audeze LCD-X and they're amazing too Sorry I can't help!
