I have gone berry picking and it's a lot of fun, but there are apple trees in various public parks around town. It took me 10+ years before I could eat the apples off of any of them, and even then I have to carefully inspect them and throw the core away immediately. It's going to get gross from here, but long story short is that I didn't find a worm /in/ my apple. I ate an apple off of one of the trees, put the core down, and then the surviving worms crawled out.

Omfg that’s hilarious but also intense!! I’m so happy you’re back and vibing on KZbins. For me I can’t eat as much peanut butter as I used too. Because I mixed peanut butter M&Ms with skittles without realizing it. My mother mixed tons of different candies on a tray for people to decorate gingerbread houses. And their was left over candy from it;she wronged me to be careful because of the mix candy. So as you probably know M&Ms and skittles look pretty similar. So I wanted skittles;I made sure to check my handful of “skittles” before I put it in my mouth. The worst taste in my life spread in my mouth;as the peanut butter M&Ms and skittles mixed together in my mouth. I almost threw up;but luckily I didn’t I spate it out. But I did such a heavy gag response to the disgusting flavor in my mouth;I had to sit and drink water. Ever since then i can’t eat to much peanut butter,if I do Ik for a fact I will gag

The closes thing I got is I cut my thumb opening a soda once, now I have to use something else to open it. Like a fork handle, pen, or another person. Luckily my mom found a tab opener so I can just use that.

when i got my wisdom teeth removed [all four] i went to BK about a week after. it was prom night and i wanted to eat something that didn't taste like blood. one bite and blood came falling out my mouth. dentist put numbing meds INSIDE my gums and didn't close my gums. i couldn't sleep, eat, swallow, anything. cause anything my saliva touched got numbed. my arm, numb, my lips, numb, EVERYTHING. it got to the point my grandma took me to the dentist and removed the meds then tell me "you must be allergic' then he had the nerve to try and deter me from it cause of dry sockets. about an hour after i was able to drink and eat. obviously i didn't die from dry sockets

I haven’t had anything happen foodwise, but I’ve cut myself enough times I am very careful with certain items. Even items you wouldn’t guess would cut you. Glad to have you back on KZbin and I did have a nice laugh.

Cw one of these is about the a dead mouse (don’t worry it’s not nearly as bad as that sounds but just in case) Don’t really deal with either of these anymore but I remember way back when I was a child (like 8-10) there were two foods I couldn’t eat for awhile First one that makes a little more sense was Cheerios cause I remember having some one morning as a kid, feeling stupid sick for the rest of the day then throwing them up that night so I couldn’t eat those for awhile cause of that And the other one is maybe a tad bit more silly but peanut butter sandwiches and not even cause of anything that had to do with the food or me eating it but uh and this is where the warning comes in, younger me stumbling across not one but two horribly mangled mouse corpses on the porch when I was a child and I can not tell you why but after that I just…couldn’t eat not only peanut butter sandwiches for a little while but I guess anything that had some kinda “filling” if that makes sense? Idk why but uh yea Wild stuff, don’t struggle from either of these anymore but thought I’d share how I stopped eating something for awhile cause of a trauma that was completely unrelated.

oh god I have a dentist appointment next week. Guess what I always have after a dentist because I was a brave adult that went to dentist? A chicken burger. Every. Time. I take tiny pieces with my fingers and just mush it in my mouth instead of chewing to avoid mutilating my mouth but damn that is so scary.

Oooo! Deff winced when you said you bit down. Thats just like how they say you can bite through your fingers like you do a carrot just as easy. The only thing stopping you is the pain. Glad it wasn't any worse tho. My similar experience happened with food poisoning ( no joke that stuff is the WORST)- I wont eat dumplings anymore cuz of it. T-T rip

So me and my mum and my little sister were going on a camping trip. On the way there, we stopped at a servo (gas station) to get snacks. I saw that in the fridge that they had sushi, so I got a packet out, bought it and got into the car. My sister wanted some and I'm like "hell nah" and then I joked about eating the finest sushi in the world bc I was catching up with the my hero academia manga at the time and I thought it would be funny... but it turned out to be horridly ironic. 2 bites in, it's alright. The rice was a tad stale, but it was good.. and then I notice that the avocado was lookin a bit odd. Another 2 bites around the fillings... ok.. the avocado is looking pink now. And then I flip my roll over to see the other side and then I see it. The tuna was discoloured, the avocado had, like, mutated into little wormy lookin nubs; straight out of a horror film. I let out the biggest "irk" of my life, much to the humour of the rest of the people in the car. Out of fear of getting food poisoning on a one-day camping trip, I bought coke (based upon my mum's weird "wives' tale") and an hour later bought some yoghurt, because idk, digestion, good bacteria idk. I didn't get poisoned in the end. It was just the anticipation of throwing up that kinda made me stay up a little longer than I should've. But yeah, I can eat sushi, just not when I don't know whether or not it's been freshly prepared in store. Fuck you OTR, you big corporate dingbat for thinking it was a good idea to sell sushi that violates multiple food-health safety violations.

i have done this before.. but not with nuggets lmao (READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION) i had a tooth surgery and i was numbed, the numbing had been there for the whole day so in the evening i was really hungry and milk and soggy cereal wasn't cutting it so i tried eating something.. I bit into the side of my cheek and still remember the texture, strangely enough i didn't panic or get scared, i though the texture was interesting (i was a weird kid who didn't get grossed out easily) i tried chewing on my cheek again, not biting into it just chewing on it a bit, and i remember thinking "well the damage is already done and it's so weird how i don't feel anything". In hindsight that was so stupid because when you don't feel any pain you also can't control how much force you put into your bite so i could have made it way worse.. Anyways, i got no food related trauma from it and i don't even remember what i was eating but i will never forget the texture of the inside of my cheek..

My future MIL got violent food poisoning from a Wendy’s burger so I’m now sussed out by any Wendy’s. They have the best chicken nuggets out of the fast food places I know of though 😢 esp when paired with their barbecue sauce.

honestly I only trust their Chicken and their Sausages from breakfast. I wont touch their beef ever again
