Reid, I dont know If u gonna read that but I'm Turk from Turkey and I gotta say u guys have so cool laws and an amendment. We didnt fight for our rights now we cant even get ammo for our registered pistols and we cant get even semi auto "grooved" rifles and whole prices for firearms set by goverment. U are a honorable dude, keep the awsome culture of yours and fight against SJW & libtards and fight for ur rights.

In some parts of our country thats slowly starting to change, we have people who think like your government and want to take what we legally purchased, with a state law that can over night turn one into a criminal. Freedom is not free nor permanent unless one is willing to fight for it. We just had a midterm election in which my state turned Blue (dumbocrat libtard jackass blue) now our fight has truly begun, these laws come in various forms, one is "red flag laws" last week the cops in an other state killed a man because they came to take his guns and he did nothing wrong other than get into an argument with his sister and his sister called the cops to get even. his own sister even said he was harmless, now she has to live with the fact that she got her brother killed over a stupid unconstitutional law that many states are passing. America is rapidly moving towards your side of the fence and people here need to wake the fuck up.

Chuck Finley What you suggest is more true for 5.45x39 which is not made very much here and why I haven’t gone for the AK74m. Winchester, Remington, PMC and other domestic vendors make M43 type ammo here. With the millions of SKS’s and AKM’s here, that round isn’t going anywhere fast. If it does, be assured they will ban 5.56 too like Obama tried with the 62 gr. green tips. Good idea to stock up and better to have a press and some dyes.

In the eyes of the globalists civilians are not even human. We are only seen as an expendable resource only meant to be exploited and they want to keep it that way. They do that by trying to regulate every single possible variable for us to not be 100% reliant on the system out of existence. This goes beyond firearms it is in other things such as most of the US it is illegal to collect rainwater and you are fined if you dig a big hole on your property and turn it into a small lake. The system goes out of it's way to try and domesticate us because in their eyes we are only cattle and not even human beings. The system needs us to survive however we do not need it to survive.

Mr Henrichs, do you like 16” or 14.5” with carbine gas? For white light attachment, I like the IWC TMC mount on the stock plastic handguards. Keeps the weight and overall profile of the rifle down. As to having to shoot a hostile more than once to stop the threat, when I was in Iraq in 2007, I hit an AQI with a 4-6rd burst from my 240 and he still had about 30 seconds of fight left in him. Adrenaline’s a hell of a drug.

I had an M-16 A1 when I was in the USMC. At 500 yds, I could hit bulls until you got tired of watching. Back then, the USMC rifle teams still used the M-14. Those boys would go back to the 800 yd line to fire at a round "Able" target. The target we would use at the 200.

Not to mention, that if you want something with a little punch. All you have to do is buy an upper, anything from .300 blackout, .458 SOCOM, even .50 Beowulf. All with the same magazines. I'm using a .458 SOCOM for home defense now with the 450gr hollow point, loaded down to 900 fps with a suppressor. I've also taken LARGE hogs and all of them were one shot stops. But I also have a 5.56 and .300 blackout as well. Great video as usual, Semper Fi.

In the case of home invasion, its not only the 30 rd capacity thats an advantage, but also penetrating soft armor. Police are reporting that home invaders are even going as far as wearing class 3a body armor which will stop all your common pistol rounds. So a 556/223 or any intermediate Rifle round is the way to go for home defense. Handguns are only good as a backup/secondary weapon or conceal carry.

Decent AR-15s are around $500. Not a Cadillac price for governments to pay. Garands are old and heavy and the recoil of 30.06 is a little too much for home defense and smaller stature women and older folks. If recoil isn't a problem for the homeowner, a simple Mossberg 12 guage ($200) works well in that role. Some towns in Texas and Oklahoma have given shotguns to homeowners.

I like Aimpoint, good solid optic. But I chose Primary Arms 2x prism optic. You can look and shoot with both eyes open. Can get on target faster using both eyes. It’s built solid too. Nice to have a little magnification at all times to help you see your target better. I have a stigmatism so this choice helps me see perfect with the diopter on the optic.

The sks was the second gun I have ever bought, it is a 1952 soviet sks and I its a great shooter and very reliable and I love taking it to the range. However I am going to tell you as someone who has owned and shot an sks for years, I do not recommend it as a fighting gun at ALL. It is heavy and magazines for it generally are terrible even the standard 10 round box mag it comes with sucks because the follower is not anti tilt and non anti tilt IMO are a nogo. You realistically don't have a way to mount optics on it and stripper clips are much inferior option to just simply changing mags. There was a reason why the sks had such a short service life because the ak in general is a far superior option in every single way possible. The only real advantage the sks has over the ak is the bolt open which in reality is not that much of an advantage. I say that because it is nice to have bolt hold open but it really isn't necessary because you get yourself a well made gun you hear that click 99.9% that means its time to reload and out of aks the only issues I ever had with them period were failures to feed out of crappy magazines. Aks don't have bolt hold opens but neither does the g3 and many other Europeans guns. That was done on purpose to not get crap in the chamber when you run empty. I will say this though the sks is a great hunting rifle, I have taken a deer with it before and it is accurate for the caliber it fires. Fighting rifle though there are much better options out there my friend. @@jessesimmons9238

Me well most aks when they are made properly are pretty much similar across the board. Quality wise I would say arsenal Krebs Saiga Molot Rifle dynamics Norinco and Valmets not particularly in that order are the best. I never tried out any of the new WBP fox rifles but they do look excellent. My first ak was the Wasr 10 and it is a good rifle. It will run to the end of time but I'm not gonna lie its a 4moa gun and its picky with mags. Most higher end aks have the same reliability and are a 2moa gun. I prefer stamped aks over milled because I do not think the extra durability is worth the extra weight offered by the milled. I think if you are gonna have only one ak get one in 7.62x39 because of the availability of guns in that caliber as well as magazines and ammunition. 5.45 and 5.56 are pretty much the same round in a practical sense, I do like 5.45 but I would recommend 5.56 over it because it is much more available. The aks I own are a arsenal slr 107 and a Rifle dynamics ak74m made from a Russian parts kit. I want to get a WBP fox gun when it comes back in stock. all in all though you generally wont have any problems with aks unless its out of spec crap like a ras47 or anything made by I.0. @@Joe_Friday

I see people putting scopes on ar15s to shoot 50 yards. I can outshoot them with ease they don't fog up. The don't reflect and they rarely fail. I have seen Magpul back up sights broken. I have shot 3,000 rounds out of my ar15 without cleaning it. The rifle doesn't make the man the man makes the rifle. Side note, I totally agree, with Rieds policy of Home built ar15s I have my own range I let people shoot for free and help train them. The only 4 home built rifles I saw had problems, sure you can have him fix your gun, but that's taking away from the class. Your not paying for a gunsmith. I want as many rounds in my gun as long as it doesn't significantly detriment size, weight, and maneuverability. If I could get 1000 rounds in a magazine the size and weight of a 30 round mag. I'll take it. No one ever got out of a gun fight alive and said "Damn, I brought too many rounds".

Although I lived half a dozen or fewer miles from Gene Stoner’s home for a bunch of years before he died, I never had the privilege of meeting him. A number of Knight’s Armament employees I met a couple of years after that told me he was a great guy. C. Reed Knight Jr? Not so much...although I do have to thank him for making it possible to meet General Kalashnikov at Reed’s SHOT Show party in Titusville in 2003 or 2004, whichever it was. Incidentally, Reed had his machine gun collection set up in his new HQ, and allowed us to tour the friggin’ hangar sized room the collection was displayed in. It was fascinating to see the collection of AR-15 prototypes and early production models Reed had acquired from Colt in exchange for the rights to produce the P2000 polymer frame 9mm pistol Reed designed. Ironically, Reed insisted on putting a clause in the contract stating that if they ever stopped production, the rights would revert to Reed. Colt produced it for two years, I believe, then decided it was too expensive to produce relative to what they could sell for. Reed wound up with the AR-15/M16 collection AND the rights to the pistol.

Sir, you could not be so correct. When I was a new 18C, 20 years ago, my team sergeant took the team to a Known distance range in Germany for three days. I was tagging target in a circle of 9 inches at 725 meters. I Shoot at fort Irwin often, we have a 7oo meter target that is 4 feet in diameter. And I can shoot all what is in my mags consistently. Very good info, love watching these vids, especially now that I am retired. Good bless you. Thank you...

Mid length has lower port pressure, and it will shoot “softer”, reducing recoil and parts wear. Cut below 14.5” and you might see some swell time issues, but it pairs nicely with suppressors.

By law, every able man between the age of 17 and 45 and Military Veterans, (men and women,) up to age 64 are eligible unorganized reserve militia members, subject to call by the President under Congressional control and Constitutional authority. (Notice this is the same requirement as the mandatory Selective Service registration for non-Veterans.) This, alone should not only justify, but mandate the possession of the AR-15 by every single person who lawfully falls under the authority of the applicable statutes of U.S. law, as this relieves the financial and logistical burden for the domestic activation of the militia in times of invasion or insurrection, and allowing compatibility of existing ammunition stocks to be issued when called. I know, that's not going to fly in today's political times, but it should. I would go further and say Congress is shirking their responsible to provide commissioned officers and non-commissioned officers to supervise and affect initial and regular recurrent training at federal expense for each eligible reserve militia member in the use and proficiency of the AR-15. You know; just in case. 😋

Reid, I keep an M4 for home defense also, but inside the home I keep it ready to rock with a frangible ammunition. What is your opinion of using frangible for home defense? The reason I chose the frangible is because I have other people in my home in various rooms, and if for some reason one of my shots does not hit its intended target I don’t want the round to penetrate several rooms or even exit the structure of my home. I don’t know how the penetration tests were done that you referred to in this video, but in my experience I have seen .223 rounds penetrate and exit through 10 or more layers of standing plywood. I have a hard time believing that a few layers of sheet rock and 2x4’s are going to significantly slow down a .223 round.

I love AKs like I love FALs, M14s, G3s, etc., but when it comes to self/home defense(or even running drills, shooting long(er) range, etc.) the AR just feels like an extension of my body, with everything right where it should be(and that's as a lefty/left eye dominant person, running ambi lowers for the most part.) I agree the AK is simple, and it's just a cool gun(and an iconic piece of history), but to me, the AK is like the old American muscle cars of the 60s and 70s, whereas the AR, especially a really nice, modern, high quality, suppressed AR, is more like a modern, efficient, good handling sports car.

I prefer the AR15/M4 series of defensive rifles/carbines because there isn't anything better. Eugene Stoner/Jim Sullivan created a near prefect fighting rifle. England just adopted an AR variant in the KAC KS-1 or as they have designated it, the L403A1. The Canadians, French, Dutch, Americans, Estonians, British and many others have chosen the AR platform as their mainstay defacto combat rifles/carbines. Patton would definitely change his mind on the M1 Garand to the AR as "The greatest battle implement ever devised" as far as smallarms are concerned.

What’s the difference in the chamber in the receivers of the M 16 vs M 4? Is it the lowered feed ramp that’s actually recessed into the upper receiver only? I’m speaking about the mechanics and reliability between the two rifles… I have the M 16 with the Franklin Armory trigger. I use Lancer mags, that likes to run good with them. I bought some Surefire OKAY Gen 2 mags, but had an issue. The front edge of the mag was too tall to the point the bullet would pass the mag edge fine, but would catch on the edge of the neck on the brass. So I took a file and 45* the edge of the mag to make them run good. The thing I am wondering is if the M 4 would be most reliable with the lowered feed ramps for rapid fire?

And being that I’m left handed, the AK is more natural and comfortable for me. Shoot what you want man. I’ll always grab my AK before an AR, but that’s me.
