Im the only one that left the apple ecosystem at a younger age. I already had the common sense when i was in high school. I was born in a time where if u had an iphone u were popular in school, but as years went by, it all changed to competition and ppl arguing android vs apple. I love android personally bc of the ecosystem, it represents inclusiveness bc it has different brands but made on the same operating system, and it just feels like a pc in the palm in your hands since developer mode takes your experience to a whole new level, also the EASTER EGG of checking your update version is so fun to mess with, and finally every app is so much easier to log in to since you can login with a google account and you can choose which one if you have more than one. I believe that android users represent the future gen of flip phones back in the day since we use the same brands that made all the flip phones. I have used an lg lotus flip phone, motorola droid razr m, iphone 4, lg stylo 2, lg v10, iphone 7, iphone se, oneplus 6t, and finally google pixel 7. I bough a samsung galaxy fold 4 and am getting it delivered today which im excited about. I will always love android bc android is the most innovative and gets me more excited about technology as a whole than apple ever will. I just hate how strict apple services and or the experience is, and overpriced 😔

The only thing that it has that I liked was spotlight search. On Android you have to be in the settings app to search settings, you have to be in the contacts app to search contacts, you have to be in the app drawer to search for apps. I loved the iPhone search feature it searches everything in one spot. It’s easier to navigate in that way. My Android phone is 5 years old so not sure if Android fixed that. But really liking the iPhone in that regard. Besides that I noticed to most things on iPhone either took more clicks then any did on Android or the simple features like how much time tell the phone is charged are completely missing all together. Not only that I noticed a lot of things being backwards. Instead of swiping left in internet, you have to swipe right. Instead of swipping up you swipe down for search. Heck the address bar is on the bottom instead of the top on iPhone. So many things are opposite is insane. It threw me off. So after going through all that the hype didn’t deliver at all. I don’t understand how iPhone users say it’s so much easier to use or that it’s faster, or that it’s a better experience. The differences are very settle and not deal breakers either way. And overall the iPhone didn’t deliver at all with all the claims. I have to think these people that think Android is way worse then iPhone are comparing it to the Android of 10 years ago and have no clue what modern Android is like.

Did you even searched on Android if you could do that? I don't think you realize how you can do literally anything on Android, precisely because it's open (source). On any Android, you can install launchers (another concept that blows any iPhone users considering how much they can't customize their OS appearance) and install modules (for those which don't natively integrate one but allows you to from a third party) that will be able to do and look for pretty much anything on your phone, whether it's apps, contacts, messages, files on your phone, calculation or conversions, internet searches and even do specific actions in apps that do support it, like Maps to look for a place (and I probably missed some functionalities). There is nothing an iPhone can do that any Android phone can't do or can't replicate with a third party app, absolutely nothing.

But doing the basics or long term use tend too give me issues that iOS never really gave me, while iOS also tended too remain stable for longer and having more tinkering abilities now then people think it does (also alt store gives me a ability too sideload so I’m not missing that)

Why are apple users saying "our phone" as if they're apple themselves? I own both and if samsung were to have its own operating system and apps for their phones like apple does, apple would be in grave danger. My 2 year old and 4 year old uses an iPhone and iPad to play educational games and watch KZbin Kids, because it is simple to use. So does everyone else in my house except for me and my wife, we use android (wife: S23 Ultra-me: S24 Plus 500GB/iPhone 13 Pro 1TB). I have the freedom to do as I please with my s24 plus. I have never caught a virus (because I don't click on unknown links or go to wierd websites), I can use Samsung Dex as a computer on my TV, install emulators and play my backup games (switch, 3ds, wii and much more), I can drag and drop any file format from my phone to my pc or pc to my phone. I have zero restraint on what I can do with my phone. I can even run windows games on my android, install different graphic drivers. I also have tons of apps I can get on the google playstore for free. I've use both ios and android for years and if I had to pick one it would be android. When I plug my iphone to my pc all I can do is transfer images. To think I own a device and can't see what's inside is crazy. I am a leader and not a follower (only follow God) why would I need some company to tell me what I can and cannot do with my device, which I paid good money for. If someone prefer to be restrain from using their device at 100% by all means Apple is for you. If you want the best of both world be like me and own both. If giving the choice to only pick one... then, red pill or blue pill.

I had the S24 ultra and returned it due to fingerprint sensor issues. I replaced it with an iPhone 15 pro max and honestly I'm thinking really serious about switching back. The camera on the 24 Ultra was just far superior to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The camera on the 24 Ultra also reduced a function for me by allowing me to watermark the date and my name on the photos natively. I can do this on the iPhone, but it requires a 3rd party app. I did have a screen protector on the 24 Ultra and I'm wondering how much that affected the functionality of the fingerprint sensor.

Let me know when you switched back 😄🫶
@RagingBad8 ай бұрын
Depending on which screen protector, another 2 things you should do if you go back is to register the same fingerprint twice, and increase the touch sensitivity on the screen in settings, also the negative of using a screen protector on the S24U is that it will lose the anti reflection properties of the display
@DoritosResidue8 ай бұрын
Yeah don't buy a cheap screen protector. I had that same problem with my s24U. Then I bought a torras diamond sheid tempered glass screen protector and the FP scanner works as if there isn't a screen protector on there. Just remember to register FP after the screen protector is installed.
@aranda51508 ай бұрын
Register the same fingerprint more than once, that should resolve the problem.
@romanromero50998 ай бұрын
You can increase touch sensitivity on Samsung devices before applying screen protector. Then just rescan your fingerprints.

About the back gesture: it doesn't even work like that always on the iPhone. Sometimes it's a right gesture from the left side, sometimes it's up gesture from the bottom (eg.photos app when seeing a photo) and sometimes neither, you have to use the physical back arrow button on the top left corner, which is the furthest point to a right handed person (most).
@thegermantechgirl8 ай бұрын
That's true, the back gesture is on top inconsistent 👍 I should have mentioned that

Me, I'm still using my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and I've always preferred Samsung over Apple because for me, Android seems to be more easier and more convenient to use than iOS. Also my S21 Ultra has more RAM than even the top tier iPhone 15 Pro Max with my S21 Ultra having 16 GB of RAM compared to only 8 GB of RAM on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The Samsung keyboard has that feature where you can swipe along the spacebar to move the cursor, but it's waaaay too sensitive, IMO. I have a Pixel as my personal phone and my work phone is a Samsung that's very locked down. I really struggle with the Samsung keyboard after using gboard for 5+ years to the point where I just wait until I'm at my computer again to reply to messages or emails on my work phone.

I wanted a new small phone, so waited for the small s24. But two things holding me back, exynos and slow charging. So my question is, are there any 6-6,2 inch flagship androids with Snapdragon and fast charging? Like 60+ watt?
@techzolute8 ай бұрын
Xiaomi 14 is there for you. Others are available too. I'd advise you go ahead with the S24. That 25 watts charging is still fast. And it has the best battery among entry level flagships, even beating the battery in iPhone 15 by a mile.

As a Samsung S user i think the reasons why iPhone is the obvious choice for some people is because it's got great performance, great security, easy to use OS, safe (no history of exploding like the Note 7) & reliable (well optimized apps) and that Apple logo.

Wow, amazing video. I’ve used both and there was a time I was struggling to decide which one was right for me. I was constantly switching between iOS and android. The deciding factor for me was the fact that every time I went back to apple it always made me miss android after like a month of having an iPhone. Everything you mentioned in the video are the reasons why. I realized that no matter how much apple puts in their eco system it’s just not enough for me to care lol. I don’t think iOS is bad, but I just have a better user experience with android.

I own and use the Google Pixel 8 pro and iPhone 13 pro max. I got my pixel 1st and used that for at least 3 or more months 1st and then my GF gave me her 13 pro max later. I have been more of an android user for several years. When I got onto the iPhone I immediately noticed the difference! That promotion screen is so AWESOME! SMOOTH like butter! 😅 The largest difference I noticed is the customization of Android! OMG I didn't realize how much I was being spoiled with that until I got onto iOS! iOS also lacks a copy and paste clipboard like Android! Google Pixel 8 pro clipboard is so awesome and I love it! iPhone keyboard is TRASH! So I even use Google keyboard on my iPhone lol. Yes, that is possible and I was so surprised when I saw that in a KZbin video so I switched to that asap! In the end, I love both iPhone and my Google Pixel 8 pro. Last night before going to bed I realized that my iPhone 13 pro max feels like it's a physically better quality than my Google Pixel 8 pro. The pixel 8 feels cheaper than my iPhone 13 pro max. Hmm..
