Realizing now that I became like this for one specific girl I was really into. It's weird. I don't have that issue with other women, and I haven't struggled much, but I got too excited about one girl too soon and just carried that on and pushed her away. Nobody told me that though. In my mind I was just trying to cheer her up all the time, sending her sweet messages, giving her little gifts, etc. She was depressed and I wanted to help. But I didn't understand how I came across. Needy, desperate, overly attentive, attached....it was a lot of talking and a few dates and then hanging out a little as friends after that but I was stuck in a cycle. Not valuing myself. @@intelligenceparadigm4931 It's funny, again I had that same issue. it was like every time I was with her I would go back to who I was mentally. It was hard because I had already set up a bad dynamic between us. I later realized that a relationship was never really an option for us and that I was seeing what I wanted to see in her instead of seeing her for how she really is. So if it were me that's what I'd focus on making sure you could actually see her as a gf.

Your video helped me examine myself. From late Elementary School to near the end of High School, I considered myself a “nice guy” in the sense that I would try to help a woman near my age group, partially because I want to be kind and partially because I am attracted to them. But I also want to wait until I got married before getting too intimate with a woman. Great breakdown but a key something you’re missing is that these “nice guys” are often confused because they listen to what women say they want. The behavior women tend to say they want in men is not actually the behavior that creates initial attraction or keeps them sexually interested. And the less experience a man has with women the more a man might twist the words of women, because they just don’t know any better. Words mean very little with women.

I definitely agree with you that having female friends can be beneficial, but at the same time I think things get iffy when one of your female friends become interested in you, and I feel like that tends to happen most of the time. At some point they either like you or you like them. On the surface level they’re definitely good to have around and give you different perspective, and like you said, great for picking up other girls, but in the long run I find that these relationships tend to fizzle out for most people, especially when one or both people find themselves in a relationship with another person. I know this type of people and everything you said was spot on. Especially the "justicing through life". I have a relative who is a "nice guy" (and I know what he's up to on his free time) always thinks he is only permitted to talk about his job or his car, but ONLY on a surface level. Like dude no one's forcing you to stress this much about what is acceptable to talk about. Idk just happened to remember. And why is their only goal in life to end up in a relationship??? And always with a woman??? This necessarily doesn't happen with gay people. But then again, it would be rebellious against society or something to be gay so again with the social justicing part. Why would a woman want to step into the life of a guy who has nothing interesting enough going on in his life to concentrate on that instead of seeking validation from outside? And there are some factors that have to do with finding a partner which you can't influence, like pheromones that fit one another etc.
@Ekaterina20123 ай бұрын
It's painful, but if you want to be in a relationship and it's just not happening, you can't force it. You just can't. At a point you have to either focus on yourself or you start being a hater. Men/women don't have to like you. If it's not happening, change your focus- take up interests, meet people, and have healthy hobbies without ulterior motives to date/sleep with people. If not, you go down the misogynistic path and STILL not get what you want.

Question. How do you deal with a nice guy as a woman? There is this one guy that likes me and follows me everywhere ( when he and I are in the general vicinity of each other). He tries to give me stuff, he compliments me and whenever I hug someone in front of him he goes in for a hug. I really, really don't like him and usually just join a new group of friends that is all women when he's around ( he usually leaves me alone then). I'm never with him alone. I avoid physical contact at all times and talking to him. None of this has done legitimately anything to dissuade him unfortunately). I need advice.
@OdaSwifteye Жыл бұрын
Here's what you need to do. You have to shut this person down, if you believe they aren't dangerous and are just really annoying, you have to break it to them. Embrace the dark side and break their hearts. Sure, you might make a mini Andrew Tate, but he's out of your hair, which is more important. If you think this person is dangerous then you need to still break them but with more prep, get your female friends or a male who has your actual best interests in heart to show up with you and intimidate them (they should have size, height, or muscle mass on the person but barring that them wielding a weapon also works). You also need to inform an authority figure that you are being bothered by a problem individual, so they can be on alert or possibly remove them entirely. If this person takes the break really badly, you should consider having a knife or pepper spray on you. I would advise a knife because it's really easy to pull that out and bloody the nose. Cowards prey on opportunity, and there's no opportunity if they know you have a knife and will use it to harm them.

Nice guys always feel non genuine to me

Because it always is not genuine. They have an agenda and that agenda is gaining control over you and then getting the opportunity to fuck. Trust your intuition, it will save your ass

Guys... Don't pretend to be nice. But also don't pretend to be mean to seem cool. That's just as bad. Might even be worse. Be kind.

I had super strong white-knight / nice guy tendencies from my late teens until my early 20s. Aside from hurting others, my god it hurt me in the long run. Managing to reflect and acknowledge my toxic tendencies was one of the best things that ever happened to me. In hindsight, I hindered myself so much because of it for many years.

THe nice guy who treats everything like his girlfriend, one of my close friend is like this and it really annoys me, no wonder why he is single

there is a very big difference between somoene being nice and a nice guy , calling yourself a nice guy is an absolute statement while saying you do nice things is not , im too self aware to say that kind of thing about myself , i did a lot of stupid shit and still do and i do not hide that fact from anyone , the worst part about a lot of these dudes is that they like to talk about chivalry when all of their motives are unchivalrious and self serving , thankfuly i was never introduced to this kind of bullshit when i was a young teen , there was a roughly 2 year period where i thought i was being nice but then i had a moment of clarity where i saw my actions for what they were , self serving , i didnt do anything for the sake of being nice , i did it to gain an advantage , the guilt still remains and i do not want it to go away nor do i let it , but i have thankfuly learned from those mistakes (still not a nice guy nor will i ever be)

This video is quite poor. First, you use the terms "White Knight" and "Nice Guy" interchangeably, though they are quite different. A Nice Guy becomes bitter and resentful after being rejected; a White Knight maintains his belief that women can do no wrong. This leads into my second point. You repeatedly state that White Knights only do what they do to get lаid. However, you also insinuate that they legitimately believe what they're espousing. So which is it: do they praise women just for sеx, or do they legitimately believe that women can do no wrong? There's a few more issues, but these were the most noticeable.

The nice guy/white knights is a big reason why actual good men are seen as dangerous or shitty
