I totally agree. I'm guessing a lot of us are here to see what life is like in rural France, so we enjoy seeing what your life is like. If you had a 9-5 kind of office job and just went home to dinner and TV after work, we'd probably stop watching pretty quickly. Personally, I enjoy the variety of topics on your channel. It's great that you're able to help your parents, too! Don't be discouraged. You don't need to please everyone, and you don't need to make your KZbin channel like anyone else's. You do you and don't worry about the rest.

Hey Ryan! I understand where you're coming from! Don't get too caught up in your head that you have to only produce the renovation videos! Don't get me wrong, I love watching renovation videos, but, I also loved the types of videos you showed in the past ... the ones where you filmed with your uncle & aunt ... the ones where you went on little trips and gave us a tour of whatever village you visited, the antique shopping with Billy, etc. So, I think you shouldn't stress yourself out over only filming what you think your viewers would like, instead, just film different things that you're up to. For example, if, today, you're at the house, renovating, then film that, however, if, instead, you're out and about running errands, and there are some historic or beautiful places nearby, then, maybe, take some time out of your day and film those things, etc.

Same thing happened to me, I started KZbin, Instagram... then I was like, ok this is not working, this is not perfect, why I'm doing this? I did watch my own videos multiple times and I was like... "oh gosh who's gonna watch this crap, the quality, the bad image idk..", pushing myself to publish more videos on time when I lacked from it.. then the numbers... Up, down... Miserable numbers btw 😂. But I was even going a bit mad about it.. Then I stopped radically since then and decided to just do my thing without worrying about recording anything. This video just gave me a bit of light about few things: this happens to more people than just me, and perfection, especially about social media, is not equally correlated to enjoyment. Yeah I was not enjoying.... Now i get the point.

I do agree with what you say about getting the extra help,once the main foundation is done ie the flooring etc has been done you might start too enjoy the fitting out,but you do need a 2nd person to help.

Thank you for today. I hoped very much nothing hurt you , no tragedies. Watching your last video where you put up a tent in your house to stay there and you acknowledged it wasn’t a cosy place- I thought to myself without heating it’s too uncomfortable . I must admit I refused to wrap two blankets around me. I haven’t lived in a building so lousily insulated until I gave up and used these two blankets. I think it’s wise to let professionals do work they are trained on , have the equipment to make further progress. Esp. in the cold and dark part of the year there’s a toll on the mood as well. I won’t stop annoying you and your dad to use safety equipment on hands, head, shoes and foremost EYES . I worked as an anaesthetist in my university‘s eyeclinic and spent nights there caring for people who were careless about their eyes. Whereas it’s probably easy to remove metal using magnets to get things out of the eyeball it’s much more difficult to remove parts of wood from there without leaving residues. Rarely this is possible without deeply decreased eyesight and worse having an infected eye which has to be removed afterwards. I know several people who suffered both physically and mentally because of this decline of their abilities. I‘ll stay watching your videos, as it’s on your experiences and I don’t expect perfection. I failed being perfect, at last after decades I know how costly it is to catch up being a perfectionist. Enjoy quality time with your family!
