Can you paint premo with acrylic paints? I know some polymer clays like fimo cant be painted with acrylics as it eventually softens the paint and makes it oily

Hello. We asked our jewelry designer and she's never painted polymer clay. What she found in her research is that polymer clay doesn't absorb or adhere to paint and it can flake or chip off. One suggestion she read online was to mix paint with liquid polymer clay and then paint the item. Another suggestion was to paint before baking. We hope that helps and it might take some experimenting.

I want to know if there is knock off Premo polymer clay. Just asking since all premo clay has the "!" at the end of the name but one that i saw does not have the "!" at the end of the name.

We're not aware of a Premo clay without the "!" in the brand name.

Hi I was using premo clay to make keychains but after baking it became burnt and completely black despite me following the baking instructions. May I know what I could have done wrong and what is the texture suppose to be like? Mine was burnt, black, swollen and very light and almost like a sponge.

Hi, Sherry! Our jewelry makers mentioned that this has happened to them, too! What happens is that the Premo has some other brand or type of clay accidentally mixed in. They don't *quite* bake the same and the chemical reactions create this outcome. Hope that helps!

I have like him but when I take part of it it crumbles and I can not make it coherent even with trying to knead Why ? I hope that one of you will help me

Hard and crumbly clay could be older, partially cured, or the plasticizer has evaporated. You could try adding some clay softener to see if that brings back the consistency of the clay. Here's a link to that product: fmg.co/B9HUhn
