The mod is in a bad state currently. Being more grindy than path of exile and similar levels of grind compared to the original. The loot is capped at players5 which just makes all full map games drop next to nothing. (Don't belive? me run 10maps in a full game and watch nothing drop despite being maxed geared and desroying t3 mapa in under 9 minutes)The mod is centered around adding uber uber boss fights designed for steamers. (Just look at the gear people are wearing who kill Uber) Decent mod but having the end game centered around uber bosses to help streamers generate views is just boring. Grindin for hours and not finding anything is a vanilla experience im used to. But this level of grind from a 30year old game is just too much in 2024.

@@JDavis-mh4rg idk, i've joined in just a week ago or so as a newcomer to pd2 and i'm very much enjoying it. even if that's true, i've had so much fun playing and the game from a casual perspective feels much easier, but also more fun. the trading site was easy to use and i ended up getting almost maxed out skiller GCs and a low torch already, my build is going quite strong and i barely had any idea what i was doing just a week ago. even if that's true the base game is atually fun as hell and I feel like MFing and building wealth is much, much easier on here than in vanilla d2. even if you just mess around with MFing, maybe some maps here and there but don't stress about it, just playing random builds, it's fun as hell and way more enjoyable than regular d2 imo. but maybe that's what not playing d2 for like 2 decades does to you.

Great work? The entire season boils down to adding yet another Uber boss for streamers. Adding content that only streamers /people who farm this game like a job really isn't much of a new season for most people. Kins of a step back in 2024 to create content that only the top 1% will play.

Most Pd2 players do bossing. Its the endgame goal, first maps and then bossing character. Just cus you are noob doesnt mean everybody else is. Me and my friends all have families and jobs but we are still bossing. Like everybody else

@@JDavis-mh4rg its definitely not designed for streamers lol. They adapt the community suggestions every league and make a ton of changes. It really shows you didn't look into this AT all. For example they really made the poison dagger necro viable this season and is a ton of stuff. Wake of fire for assassin is also in a really good spot now. They make a ton of balance changes and release a bunch of cool uniques etc as well. This pd2 season for me was alot more fun than poe's latest season was but thats just my opinion but im still excited to play Poe 2 which will BE ALOT slower than poe

D2r looks amazing and everything but I like the old school graphics it’s not only nostalgic but it also hits a vibe. D2r legacy mode was horrible but this mod makes the old graphics look good and run smooth as well.

Just a tip for game to run way better. when you in game, press ctrl + O. It will say 60 fps is checked. Uncheck your V-sync, set your max foreground FPS to match your refresh rate. Literally NIGHt and day difference for smooth gameplay. It was legit running 30 fps.

I was Median XL fan for 16 years (all the way from 2008 Lazbro's version) but I have to give PD2 credit and name it the best D2 mod atm. Median under Marco especially post-Sigma 2.0 (2021) lost its creativity and builds became linear D4-style trees. Oskill builds are the only ones that are creative and exciting - and they are very endgame only.

8:50 Duriel doesn't drop the same treasure class as Baal et.c. because it is a quest thing. He does that because the zone (Tal Rasha's Chamber) is level 85. So he can drop anything even after you talk to Tyrael. :) Even Andariel and Catacombs Level 3 & 4 are L85. As well as many other areas in all Acts throughout Hell.

Hi, I played every season of PD2, the beauty is that most builds are viable. Cold/fire bowzon is very 1-button run and shoot gameplay, excellent at blasting maps. Phys is harder to start, but has a much higher top end investment, and is what I did for my first. Fire Druid is extremely good and has an easy start with help from the Summoner tree. Combustion Sorc with Ormus Robes is more advanced buildwise, but extremely fast for mapping. Basically everything Poison and Bone necro is meta, but pricey. Can start with Summons. Many others exist, but those are the ones I can think of that are very low effort and good.

PD2 and Median XL are both great mods, if I wasn't so pushed for time I would play seasons of both. PD2 is fairly close to vanilla game with some balancing, Median XL is practically a different game with the same mechanics.

i dont know if its an advertising or not, i mean much people went to play pd2 last few weeks, but if it is thanks to them all for paying my attention to it and returning me to d2 with some extra interesting content i always wanted in d2 but never played mods cuz thought it has 4-7 people online. If its not im just glad people still playing d2 right now despite the graphic, age and etc. This is the merit of the developers of mod and fun to realize that most people who wanna play it just would buy d2 LoD, pay money to blizzard and devs receive nothing from it :D i think all who enjoy it should also donate smth to mod dev team, they doing a real job

PD2 is a great way to get into Diablo 2. It has a ton of quality of life compared to baseline D2 and also takes heavy influence from PoE. The community is amazing and there are tons of resources out there.

You should play Median XL when their 3.0 update comes out. I find it to be much better than PD2 in the endgame. Some of the bosses in median xl are arguably harder than poe bosses.
