I also love their continued support of old cameras. I just picked up a used X-T1, ostensibly for a backup, and found it about ten firmware updates behind. I'm gonna love this thing.

The X-T1 was being supported >5 Years. It's a worlds different Camera since v1.00 to v5.52 Firmware. Same goes for the X-E2, from v1.00 - v4.11 it also received a completely new AF System with v4.00 back into the "Kaizen" days.

Can only agree. Shot with Canon for about 15 years. But when the X-T4 came out I just thought it looked so good and I wanted a somewhat smaller camera to take on family trips and such. I instantly fell in love with it. I'm now selling all my Canon gear. Fujifilm makes you feel passionate about photography.

First comment here. I found your enthusiasm and videos on Fuji so infectious that I went out and got my first ever camera, an X-T4 two weeks ago. THANK YOU, you have taught me so much and I really appreciate it. Keep up the fantastic work!

I've cherished cameras that I've bought from various brands, including my X-T2, which I bought in autumn 2018. The X-T2 is quite solid. There are many models of cameras that are truly worthwhile to use. The Fuji lenses are one of the most inspiring brand of evolving optics.

I got into Fujifilm for all those reasons, and I love that they still have a film side to their business. :) I view Fujifilm as a "digital film camera" company instead of a "digital camera" company, but I do wish they'd do more to blend digital & film together - maybe create a printer for rolls of film.

Great video as always Chris! As Fujifilm has recently made their API open, I believe we are going to see much more competition in third party lenses with very capable auto focus. Spot on. I've shot Fuji since 2013, from the X10 to the X-S1 to the X30 and the absolutely splendid X-E2 which I carry now. I've had a couple of lenses on the E2, one of which was the 7Artisans 25mm (that I highly recommend) but currently have the Fujinon 18mm almost permanently attached. I think the user interface is one of the greatest points, that Fuji has never changed it so much that a person familiar with it can pretty much pick up any Fuji camera and use it easily.

I couldn't agree more! I'm totally in love with Fujifilm after, a couple of months ago, shifting from my 10 kg Canon full frame gear to a X-E3 and a X100F. I do a lot of hiking and need to carry leightweight (got the 16-80 lens too) and for street photograhy my X100F is just awesome. I bought both cameras second hand, hardly used at all, and boy did I get good cameras. Never a second have I missed my bulky canon equipment!

What the heck is with that intro!? 😆 What I love about Fujifilm is the community! I've been with other photographers with different gears, all I can say are they are big snobs! They're trying to be intimidating with those big lenses and expensive accessories. And what, only to add presets on their outputs?... Meanwhile we're here with our Fujis just having fun. ;)

Couldn’t agree more. Fun should be part of the experience, not a puffed out chest because of a $6500 full frame camera with $3000 glass that’s being used to shoot a random person, some random location in a big city, or their 1998 Toyota Corolla in the parking lot of Walmart. If I’m going to spend that much, I’ll go with a Fuji Medium Format camera and get superior quality. The price to quality ratio is beyond amazing with Fuji and no one seems to care what your shoot with or what lens you have.

Yes. I first got an Xt-20 because of size. Hardly ever touched my Nikon again so I replaced it with the Xt-4. I love using the Xt-4 and your videos have been absolutely great. I am even starting to question my sentimental retention of certain Nikon lenses and whether there is any real benefit in continuing to use them with an adapter for any reason other than financial.

I agree with all 5 of your reasons to love Fujifilm Cameras (though I shoot RAW almost always.) In addition to all of the truly superb XF and XC lenses, what I love is that with the addition of some REALLY affordable adapters, I can put just about ANY lens ever made for ANY camera system on my Fuji X bodies with full TTL focus capability (even if the lens was originally not 'coupled' for focusing and was only used as a scale focus lens) and with full AutoISO, I can shoot Manual OR Aperture Priority with these lenses. Very few joys in photography quite like putting a 1954 screw mount Leica lens on a 2021 X-E4 body and making photographs with it.

I completely agree about the fun factor! I've owned other cameras but stopped bringing them on my travels because my phone got good enough results, but the controls and JPEGs on the Fuji X-T4 are enough to get me using a real camera again!

AutoISO is my favourite, with a group of three different ones (based around low, medium and high shutter speeds) for each Quick Menu group (the AutoISO shutter speeds in my 'Nature' and 'Street Photography' Quick Menus averaging slightly higher than those in my close up 'Modelling' Quick Menu etc ... but in Street Photography I also have one set for slower shutter speeds knowing I might sometimes be snapping at night). Just switch to the right Quick Menu and AutoISO group within it for wherever you are and then you're sorted, with no further faffing. If I want to adjust brightness, there's the Exposure Compensation dial too. I combine it with ISO Bracketing (so that I've even less to worry about, exposure-wise) and then I can just focus on aperture, composition etc. Terrific.

I totally agree with the last point, Fuji cameras are really fun to use, more over those machines inspire you to shoot more and more. I felt in love with my X100S, I may say that the only digital camera that makes feel the same is my old Canon 300D, but that is a historical piece at this moment!

To borrow a phrase from Hugh Brownstone, Fujifilm facilitates the shortest distance between intention and execution. I honestly prefer the ergonomics of the x-h1 to my x-t4, but thanks to your tutorials, I have this camera dialed in so I can control everything with just the front and rear dial and the aperture ring. I’m going to have to try the 40-150.

At the onset, I was like what? That microwave bit was stressful. Needless to say, you have my attention. ;). I very much enjoy you, your style, and your content. You are approachable and the information you impart is very applicable and very thoughtful. I’ve shot Fujifilm for 4 years (1 year for play, initially and 3 years for work) and previously Canon Full Frame for work for 15 years. I enjoy my Fujifilm rig a lot. I used to shoot Kodak portra early in my career and then transitioned to Fujifilm NPS 400, NPC 160, and NPZ 800 back in the film days. I loved Kodak pro 3200 BW film as well as Fujifilm Neopan 1600 BW film. I loved the colors that Fujifilm used with color film then as well as today, digitally. I will say that this only applies somewhat since I shoot raw. I transitioned fully to Capture One in 2018. It was rough at the beginning but as online instruction grew I was able to take the instruction and apply it where needed. My only complaint with capture one is that the tone curve is too aggressive (too much of an s-curve) at default using provia (my favorite for portraits). Do you have any suggestions either in Capture One or in the camera settings of the X-T4 or X-T3? Thanks and keep up the great work!

You totally had me with microwaving the camera. Was waiting for the arcing to occur. I was also worried about your safety! Had to rewind to see the cut you made 😃

Hahaha, yeah, the secret was in the masking out the microwave screen showing the 10 seconds. The shots didn't match so I had to use masking in Final Cut Pro to make the shots as similar as possible! Next video I'll skip the editing the hassle and just microwave the camera for real. 😯
