@Austin Dunham Bro I think during this bearmode journey, you should also start prioritizing certain excersizes to achieve that freaky look. Use this extra weight to start improving on the incline bench to really mak that upper chest pop. Start shrugging to grow those traps, and on pull days start incorporating alot of rows after your weighted pullups to really thicken that back. Those muscles I just mentioned are what really give people those dragonball z/Baki characters level physique, and when you cut back down you'll look ridiculous.

Good bulking meal: protein-carbs pancakes. 3 packets of Quakers oatmeal, 3 eggs, regular milk or almond milk and two scoops of protein + a tablespoon of cinnamon. This mix should result in three regular pancakes or two big ones, after that add some syrup and its delicious. I eat it everyday and never get tired of it like I do some other meals and it has given me good results.

Hey Austin, Listen why don’t you do a Lean Bulk? Basically you find your personal BMR and use it to find your TDEE and simply multiply it 1.1. That way you still give your muscles the adequate calories it needs to continue growing and getting stronger without gaining body fat? As Brandon Carter so eloquently said once “Don’t sacrifice your cuts, it’s not worth it” and he’s right. I made that rookie mistake before becoming a certified strength and conditioning coach.
@dokuaccount31723 жыл бұрын
It's not that simple. Why do bodybuilders eat a lot after a show and do a of season. Because it is way easier do build muscle with more bodyfat. If you are really high in bodyfat you can build muscle and lose fat at the same time. If you are five percent bodyfat building fat has such a high priority that it is close to impossible to build muscle (not saying that he is 5 percent). So if you always try to stay ripped it can prevent/ slow down progress. But of course it always depends on your priorities

I can relate to all points. I also wanted to look bigger and fill out more so I started bulking but then my calisthenics skills got worse which was really depressing. I did a cut after that and now I’m lighter than I planned to be… feeling skinny which sucks as well. I feel like it’s really difficult to find a good balance. But I’ve never heard of this method. Might try it and make a video on it. Thanks Austin!

The best time for me (skills wise as well as physique wise) is after 4-6 weeks of dieting. The muscles feel full after those 4-6 weeks of being in a calorie surplus and the workouts feel amazing! I am try to stay in that 4-6 weeks ''post dieting'' physique.... it feels great! Yes, it will take a lot of time to put on some muscle doing it this way, but I feel healthier overall and my workouts feel at their best.

I transitioned from hybrid training straight to bodybuilding.. lots of machine work and it created a lot of problems with imbalances and injuries. I think hybrid training is the best solution for gaining and maintaining muscle and functional fitness. 15 yrs in the game of lifting and I feel this is best. Maybe even throw in a deload week with just rings and let the body recover and go at it again. 🤷🏻♂️

@ijmwpiano3 жыл бұрын
I had this random idea for training design to overcome performance plateaus. So imagine weighted isometrics at the most challenging part of a lift (i.e. top hold on weighted pullups, just shy of lockout on overhead press) followed up up with some higher rep work on machines or with bodyweight (i.e followed up with bodyweight pullups or lat pulldown, or dumbell standing or seated overhead press). Any thoughts?

Have a good week Austin. Do you recommend bulking after I cut to what I’m happy with? I’m wanting to get to 10-12 percent, have all my abs show. And then should I bulk? Or just bulk now…anyone who might have advice I appreciate it ✌️
@manilgianchandani46543 жыл бұрын
Hey Austin. Saw your question, seemed like an interesting one to answer. Maybe my advice could help you a bit. First of all you wanna ask yourself what you want. Do you want a bulkier physique or do u now want your abs to show. Thats IMO something you gotta ask yourself. But analyze yourself and decide whether you wanna build more muscle or if your satisfied with the muscle mass you have now. If so, cut down, let your abs show and maintain that and as soon as urges to build more muscle hit, you can go bulk. On the other hand if you would like to add more muscle mass then bulk first and then cut down. Its more likely that youre gonna put on more muscle during a bulk than on a cut. Thats kinda my take on it based on your question. More factors however do come into play when deciding these things. But anyways hope i helped u out a bit and grind it out bro. Much love
