Dr Berg recommends specifically getting "non-fortified" Nutritional Yeast. The fortified versions have added synthetic B-vitamins (i.e. folic acid) that aren't absorbed well. My sister was having issues with the Braggs Nutritional Yeast, made her switch to a non-fortified brand. Problem solved. BTW: it needs to say "non-fortified" otherwise it's fortified with synthetic B vitamins.

Christopher Alden you seem well educated on this . What’s your thought with nutritional yeast and candida
@kristfur5 жыл бұрын
@@EspressoRob Brewers Yeast will contribute to candida exponentially more than Nutritional Yeast. However, if you're in the middle of a bacterial imbalance, I would avoid Nutritional Yeast as well. If you eat clean Keto (i.e. avoiding carbs & sugar), you will starve the candida. Watch out for hidden sugars like tomatoes, corn, fruits dairy, alcohol, etc.

I've been using nutritional yeast since my 20s back in the 1990s. But back then it was called brewer's yeast because that is where it came from. Over the decades, it's one of the few consistent parts of my diet. Even when eating unhealthy, I kept brewer's/nutritional yeast around. These days, I most often put it on eggs.

From Medical news: Nutritional yeast comes from a species of yeast known as Saccharomyces cerevisiae. There is another form of this yeast species, which is called brewer’s yeast. Although people sometimes use the terms interchangeably, it is essential to note that nutritional yeast is not the same as brewer’s yeast.

I wish i could come to the US and get one of yours. Youd be so shocked to see what we have to put up with. Long John Silver comes to ming, all i need is an eye patch & a bloody parrot, i kid you not. Don't over do it! All yeasts are high in purine, although nutritional yeast has less than brewer's yeast. Purines are turned into uric acid in the body which can crystalize on joints and cause gout and other issues. As a nutritional supplement with one tablespoon a day it might be OK, but if higher amounts are consumed daily best to have a uric acid test done with your next blood panel. Keep below 6 mg/dl to prevent harm.

Love your videos and channel, thank you...but if the recommended daily intake of Selenium is 55 micrograms per day for men/women and one brazil nut has 68-91 micrograms in it, what about the toxicity warning? Selenium can accumulate in the brain (just as mercury does) and cause neurological abnormalities, along with other health issues. Learnt about this when I studied health science and always remembered it because most people think you can eat a lot of a food if it's natural, but it's not always the case, unfortunately.

I put NY on my omelettes or frittatas in the morning. Seems to make them a bit fluffier.

!. Yeast being alive does not disqualify it from vegan diets. Plants are alive. Right? 2. About 50 years ago I ate nutritional and brewers yeast regularly and when my children were born we gave them some too. Subsequently, a doctor told me that nutritional yeast had been found to promote or cause cancer. I don't remember his words exactly. I know there are a lot ambiguity here but what do you think about his statement?

Hi Thomas! I have tried several of Amber’s recipes and they have never disappointed. I’d love to see some more collars with Amber where she shares some more of her delicious recipes.

A sprinkle here and there is ok. But to take nutritional or brewers yeast spoonfuls everyday.... I would question it. Even though it is unlikely to cause a yeast infection, it still has mold properties. It would be the like saying, to consume blue cheese on a daily basis. Not a good idea

Much sugar cans is GMO with glyphosate, so wondering if the molasses from the sugar transfers any over to the yeast.
