One thing I’ll take to heart learning from you, is as long you can make things simple, whether it be videography or photos, no need for expensive cameras or gears. I think I know what you're feeling/going through. I went through a similar transition back then although in a reversed situation to yours. I was a musician for 14 years cum professional sound engineer for 9 years. but once I felt that I have lost passion for music and studio recording. I just stopped. never looked back again. this was back in 2008 when I moved on to something else.
