For what it’s worth as if my option mattered to anyone.. I don’t think people watch your videos for humor that’s kinda Connors lane .. your editing skills are amazing! the way you put your videos together is by far the best in the community... your very humble and know your stuff ... your lawn is absolutely inspirational... in my opinion there are 4 kings in the KZbin lawn care community.... the cool season kings are you and Connor ... the warm season Kings are Lcn and Gci ... you have done something special in this community of lawn nerds and should be very proud! Keep it up bud I’m a sub for life! For what it’s worth my job affords me 12 to 18 hrs a day 5 to 6 days a week watching KZbin videos that’s a ballpark average of 250 to 300 GB of data a month yes gigabytes... so I hope with that said maybe this will mean something to you.. keep it up bud your awesome

Lawn is looking great!! Personally I will always be a tall mower but I appreciate the commitment it takes to mow low. One question, doesn’t rolling your lawn compact the soil? I thought that was a bad thing.

The battery is supposed to last a very long time but I see no problem with the gas one either. It's quiet as well and sips gas because you don't need to run the rpm's very high

Hello Ryan. First of all, thanks for your videos. I have renovated my lawn with your help with turf type tall fescue. My lawn is very shady, but this late august and septemember have been the hottest in history for us with no rain. I watered a decent amount to compensate, which worked for awhile, but disease has started to happen in places. I have put down a treatment of fungicide and plan to do another. I am going to reseed the areas with some hydratain while reseeding my entire lawn in the next few days. I was wondering if I put starter fert down a month ago and an application of milorgonite down about a week ago, would it be wise to put down starter fert again with the new seed or not? Thanks a lot for your videos and help. I'm starting to understand a lot more and can't wait to get mowing a great yard.

You should be ok with what you applied before and then maybe in a few weeks see if things are growing in nicely or if it needs a small shot of fertilizer again

Ryan, have you tried a Toro walk behind reel? If so, how did it compare with the Swardman? I’m curious to a head in comparison between a Swardman and a Greens Mower - just for people who are on the fence.

I have...The swardman drives a little more like a self propelled machine many are used to since you can slow down and speed up easily with the handle...the toro is more set it and go and speed is controlled by rpm. That's the machine difference in handling. Otherwise both cut great when reel is dialed in.

One other thing is that I just can't find many greens mowers in my area and if I do I need to also find someone to work on them which is not that easy either.

Do these front rollers only work well if you cut super short? Was thinking of adding a mod to my 18 inch fiskars reel mower but I cut at 3 inches.

Won't really work well on taller grass. It just rolls the grass over so it doesn't get a clean cut

Not sure where you are at in Iowa or if you have an alpine slide anywhere near you but chestnut mountain ski resort on the Mississippi River has one open in the summer. It’s right by Galena. If you want bonus points with your wife women love the town. Just a lot of small shops to walk through. Good restaurants too
