Spiritual people have answer. They say the greatest danger for marriage is "money and success" Because young couple, may earrn small money, but it doesnt distract them much emotionally because their first priority is love and having each other, being grateful for each other etc But later when both of them gain money and success and get better jobs, get better position. it can create a danger for the relationship because "the money and success" is slowly replacing the love, if you allow it. The love was previously the priority number one, and the money and success was priority number two. So it was very easy to experience love and support. But as the money and success grew, it became priority number one and love became priority number two. So people have to do nothing, but be aware of this danger, and never allow success or lack of time to destroy the family unit, but overgrow it, with some healthy choices and go on vacation or doing sports together etc and support each others success, by saying I like your harmonic relationship with colleagues, or that the relationships improved with your common effort, and I like the harmonic environment. It´s a dream life etc. I am glad you had good time etc. If you support each other this way with empathy and gratitude, no commercial media may brainwash you to think otherwise. If you start value more your success and money, than your partner´s love, and gratitude and the love from your famly....then it means you put money and material things on pedestal, or that you both put money on pedestal. It´s not hard to understand the math of the 1. grade of elementary school. :) Yet people still have problem to understand it. But if they understand basic math, they will understand also this concept and therefore it gives them the opportunity to not blame the partner for it, but prevent it.

Both genders suffer after a divorce. Most marriages fail because of a lack of commitment so if you don’t want to commit - just don’t get married. And make sure to tell your partner that too - so they don’t waste their time with you if they do.

I was in an LTR for 11 years, lived together, basically married. It's a raw deal in the west because you're expected to uphold the traditional male provider role, meanwhile they act like they are single, sponge off you and don't listen to a word you say. Basically provide for her and shut up. I am not lonely at all, I sleep at night perfectly, no one yelling at me, no one arguing dumb stuff, I can do whatever I want. I'm not against marriage, I just wouldn't do it in the west with a western woman, they are awful.

It's a way to keep people accountable. The victim mentality of people don't being able to keep their word because they can't act as grown ups ruined marriage. If you have children and a spouse you're not supposed to have everything you want like when you're single, that's the idea. Compromise, sacrifice, not putting yourself first. Some people marry today because they think they'll live a love story and that's not what marriage is about. If you met a woman in real life who got pregnant from a guy he met in a week in a ship like the main characters from the movie Titanic you'd call her immoral. How many couples that are in love break up after things start to feel normal? It's because the feeling you get in the beginning is not meant to last forever and smart people know that. The difficult thing is to put two smart people together in today's world, that can navigate through ups and downs and make things good again. Listen to what divorced people have to say about their mistakes. When they show regret, it's because they recognize they messed up and when they act careless and keep the same behavior, you usually know they are immature and can't be trusted. At least that's how I see it.

I think it all comes down to the culture and religion. If a society does not believe in a hook up culture and if the people safe themselves for marriage then marriage can be seen as a way to actually love someone on another level. When you get married you know someone has committed themselves for you. You do have to make sure you marry the right person. Morals and values have to match yours and you’ll be fine.

Women have everything to gain in a marriage; it was specifically designed with them in mind. Marriage is objectively in of itself not bad although there can be bad marriages. @longdongsilver4444 I disagree. Risk is an important part of a serious relationship. When you connect with someone on a deep level, you have to expose your weaknesses. You have to become vulnerable with them. If you want a good and real relationship you have to choose wisely. If you don't trust your partner to that level and are worried about betrayal, then that's a problem. Many men make dumb decisions and don't know who or when to trust. But if you want a deep relationship, that is a line you have to cross. In short, if you can't expose yourself to a woman and trust that they won't betray you, then don't stay with her.

If you have to sign a government contract to show your love then that's on you. Who would sign a contract with a 50% failure rate, where If it were to fail, you would statically most likely lose half your wealth and assets and most likely half less custody of your children. While simultaneously paying child support and mortgage payments. And in most cases do all this not even in your own house. What moron takes that deal.

@longdongsilver4444 I already said that getting married legally isn't true marriage. You don't necessarily have to do it legally. It's meant to be a promise that you will bound yourselves together for life. Those statistics are looking at the average of other marriages. Those failures are from the bad judgment of others. Odds don't work that way when applying it to real life. If you find a woman that won't bail on you. That you can trust. You will likely not have that problem (if those traits apply to you as well). If you just went with someone without much thought, the odds would actually be higher than the statistics say that she will abandon you. That is because many of those marriages that succeeded were from good judgments from the start. You need to look at why the statistics show those results in the first place. Does that make sense?

Marriage holds a new standard for the relationship. The smallest inconvenience in the relationship will cause a divorce (50% divorce rate) further paying court cost along with the wedding. In reality all it is is just a title for taxes and something for her ego to brag on. And when you dont get married they try to shame you/ frown upon. They been TAUGHT to getting married is whats best for you even in the bible (marriage was different in the bible). Its complete bs imo but what make you happy, go for it.

Marriage is the same thing or it should be. The problem is that people don't want to keep their word and act like adults. You have to keep your commitment through the hardships. If both people do that there's no secret. You don't marry to live in honeymoon forever. You don't go to gym and keep a strict diet for pleasure. You don't show up at work and keep showing results because you have the same enthusiasm you had in the first week. It's the same concept.

Got married 6 months back in December and immediately after marriage, like the next week. She dosent wanna have sex anymore. You have to realize the person that you meet is still a stranger that you don't fully know. You can date them for two years it doesn't matter you still don't fully know them. I never wanted to get married because that's not the lifestyle that I wanted to live. I don't want to be tired to just one woman for the rest of my life. Also it's well known that married couples have less sex than bachelors guys. Nah, I'd research the reason why 50 percent of those parachutes fail before I go skydiving. If the reason is the parachutes that failed half the time were just pretty on the surface and people didn't bothering to figure out it's made of thin paper I just wouldn't use that particular parachute (what I'm saying is I believe many people marry for the wrong reasons, which effects the statistics. Not trying to make a debate between right and wrong but i really do wonder who invented the whole you need to be stuck with one person for the rest of your life. Do you know any human that just eats one dish? One ice cream? Play with one toy? Watches one show? Has only one job? Visits one person in the family? Doesnt make sense in those situations right? So why make it like that when having relationships? If you had one person for each thing you'd like in a relationship you'd be happier than just expect one person to maintain all of those expectations. People stay in dead relationships because they're afraid of the consequences divorce brings. When if you don't sign the contract, couples have the opportunity to part ways in peace. Even if the break up turns out to be nasty, no one truly gets screwed over like they would in a divorce process. Both parties go their own way and it's done.

I think it's the opposite actually. Marriage not adding pressure but rather they don't feel any obligation to keep maintaining the relationship and the relationship kinda slides into becoming more like roommates than soulmates. Like a garden you must never stop work on it lest the things that make it beautiful wither and die as the things that make it ugly creep in and destroy it.

I am a man and I do not want to get married. Absolutely not. I don’t care if it’s the nicest most beautiful, loving and caring girl in the world. Marriage and kids is a big no no for me. This wasn’t do to being hurt or anything like that I’ve had this mentality since I was a kid. And I’ve gotten a lot of shit from women that weren’t even my gf because of this. I am to much of a lone wolf and I enjoy my freedom way to much. I will date and all but I always let them know if they are looking for marriage they won’t get it and they can leave if they want to. The door is wide open. I have lied to a girl before because I liked her and she wanted to get married but I didn’t so to keep her I told her we were gonna get married and I realized that was wrong. So now I make it none that, marriage is not a possibility with me.

If marriage is challenging to someone, chances are they have married the wrong person. And most people do. That’s why so many people divorce and want to divorce. When people don’t marry people who share the same perspectives in every important aspect of life-what loyalty means to their partner, what modesty means to their partner, the same levels of empathy, the same goals and morals about finances, religion, how to raise any possible children, etc.-it will always result in “a challenge” daily. In my opinion, the struggles in a healthy marriage only occur because of something outside of the couple’s control- either partner gets sick, life-threateningly sick; a child of theirs gets sick; terrible injury; a natural disaster that uproots them from their home or affects the quality of their health/food supplies; encounters with dangerous people or toxic people outside their marriage (including family members-until the partner related to that side of the family shuts that family member down with their foolishness); war. There should be no greater ally in life than a person’s spouse. The problem is most people are hypocrites in marriages and are playing games-that’s what makes it “challenging” on a daily basis. Most people should never marry because they are too immature to be married to anyone. Most people just bring hell into people’s lives-immature and selfish men and immature and selfish women. (I apologize for my rant about society in advance 😂)
