I have a theory: I think Hufflepuffs are talented enough to be in a separate house, but they value Hufflepuff traits over any other house value. For instance, people guess I am a Ravenclaw. I am a giant nerd and bookworm, and usually I am top of my class, but I love fairness, and Injustice and ignorance just make me_#\$&#\$&-$#%$#@#. I hate it. I know that you don't think these things, but this is for the people who think Hufflepuffs are whimps or wusses... 1) To be loyal, you follow your friends into danger to protect or stand by them. So Hufflepuffs can be hella brave. Gryffindors are brave, but their type of bravery is kind of like running head on into danger by themselves, while Hufflepuffs are the ones saying, "I'll go with you because you're my friend, you're important to me. I don't want to be seen as a hero, I just care about you, and I'd be damned if I allow anyone hurt you." Basically, I believe that Hufflepuffs can be everything the other houses are, but their line of reasoning will always fall into one of their core values. If they are trying to or being clever, brave, ambitious, etc, it's because in that moment, being clever serves a purpose that they think is important. Hufflepuffs can possibly do some shitty things like blackmailing or whatever, if they think it'll help their friends or family. I'm not trying to imply anything in particular other than that Hufflepuffs values hardwork, fairness, and loyalty, but they can have actions that are considered any number of things because of their values. I am a Hufflepuff, by the way. Add ons: Hufflepuffs are not "Just nice"...again, I know you know this! I just want to have my say in this. Maybe it'll be better to separate the two words, and be like Hufflepuffs are "Just" and "Nice" because to want people to be treated fairly means that you also disagree with people being treated unfairly or unkindly, which means that Hufflepuffs are likely to be the ones that starts protests, but ya know "nicely". So not a violent protest, but if something is unjust or wrong, there's no way around that than to address it. So Hufflepuffs aren't boring, by any means. :-)

I am a hufflepuff, and I am almost 100 pct. sure my boyfriend is a slytherin (he hasn't taken the test yet). I Think it is because I am attracted to some kind of mystery. Even though I actually am very clever and intelligent, I can also find myself being a bit naive sometimes. I have a very hard time being mad at people, and I really hate drama. Primarily I think those are really good traits, as you said, because I treat people well, I am kind, seriously seldom angry or disrespectfull, harming and anything, and sometimes this can be the reasoning for my feelings to get hurt. I also believe this is one of the many reasons I find myself perfect with a slytherin bf. I believe, that when a slytherin first is in love, he/she would do pretty much anything to protect the people he/she loves. I feel safe en my boyfriends presence. Besides that, he also encourages me to be more realistic sometimes, and be stronger, without himself even realizing it. I am a stronger person with him. I know he also finds good in being with me, a hufflepuff. Sometimes he can be pretty negative, and as he teaches me a lot, I comfort him and makes him see good things in people. I believe slytherpuffs are perfect matchs, at least, me and my boyfriend have been, since we were 8 and 9💛💚

You said so many nice things about Hufflepuff!! ♡ I'm in the hufflepuff, and I love it!! The only thing I don't really like about being in the house is that despite all the traits we're supposed to have, (like being kind for example!) I feel like so many of the hufflepuffs in the books are so mean to Harry. :( (Not Cedric, or Tonks, more just like the side characters!) Like how all the hufflepuffs started getting angry, and randomly started yelling and bullying Harry after it was announced that he would be in the Tri-Wizard champion. Like I totally get that they were upset that Harry stole the glory from Cedric, but they were still like straight on bullying him. :( Even in the movies, I feel like the hufflepuffs often make rude remarks to everyone, and even go around wearing those mean "Potter Stinks!" badges! Even in the 5th book, when the students are meeting at Hogs Head to discuss learning DATDA from Harry, all the hufflepuffs except for Susan Bones and Ernie are mean and rude. :( Again, totally not hating on hufflepuff! I am one!! Just thought I'd state my opinion on how they seem to act in the books and movies, despite what our traits are supposed to be.. that being said, I still haven't finished the series yet, so maybe they become nicer?? How can hufflepuff be woozy when after the gryphindores hufflepuff is the only other house where everyone chose to fight at the Battle of Hogwarts. Not for pride but because it was the right thing to do. Where as with ravenclaw and slytherin only some chose to fight. So there all those who think hufflepuff are hopeless woozy peeps. Haha this showed up for me in suggested videos - and hey, guess who got Hufflepuff when he did the Pottermore test some weeks ago? ;) at first I was like "uhhh nooo" because as you say, they have a bad rep. But reading into it they are really not bad and it's just a shame that JK Rowling never really wrote much in the books to give them a good reputation. There's some stuff in there, but it fades compared to Ravenclaw and especially Gryffindor. And those good traits of that house is really spot on for me actually, so I can't blame the test for putting me there haha. Your thoughts on this subject and in general is always so interesting! I have been a Potter nerd since the first few books were around, but you always make me find out even more things about it all. :) I forgot Newt Scamander was Hufflepuff! So cool! This video made me feel a lot better about being Hufflepuff, yay. :) you already know I share your views on relationships a lot from other videos so yeah haha, putting house aside, most important factors is just being a caring, giving and loyal person. Because the world is already too full of selfish and awful people, a partner needs to be completely trustworthy and kind. Having a few bad sides is okay, nobody is perfect, but when it comes down to it, they have to be there when you need them, with love and support. Even if things go bad, as you say, don't turn into an asshole. :P

😊 aha! LOVE IT! You didn't even need to tell me that you're a Hufflepuff for me to know that you are one for sure. You ooze Hufflepuff XD. But now it's validated!! It's so common for people to get Hufflepuff and to be a bit disappointed but honestly... it is hands down the best house (next to Slytherin, of course. :P). JK Rowling did paint a "wimpy" picture for Hufflepuffs early on and it doesn't help when she writes Draco saying in the first book that he'd leave the school if he got Hufflepuff lol. One of my best friends was taking the quiz and said "Oh God. I hope I don't get Hufflepuff." and I'm like... 😒 "Umm... WHAT?!" and he got Gryffindor and I just walked out of the room lolol jk I didn't walk out. Yes! Both Newt and Eddie Redmayne are Hufflepuffs. I find Hufflepuffs are the easiest to spot but I rarely ever meet them. Which is a crying shame! There should be more loyal and hard working people around! Be a proud Hufflepuff!! If Dwayne Johnson is a Hufflepuff then that automatically eliminates all wimpy-ness claims! Newt's best friend was also a Slytherin... more proof that they make a great pair! haha aww, yeahh. I also changed my mind about Slytherins after making this channel (Rowling often talks about how much she dislikes Slytherins so that doesn't help lol)! There are definitely some really sweet and good Slytherins out there though! But I personally think that Hufflepuff would go better with gryffindor or rawenclaw than with slytherin bc I think slytherins and Hufflepuffs can be the complete opposite and I don't think that would work but I can understand that slytherins would like to have a Hufflepuff as a partner bc of loyalty kindness fairness and more. Hufflepuffs aren't judging so they would try to be with a slytherin more likely than a rawenclaw or gryffindor would but I think it wouldn't hold long bc Hufflepuffs want a loyal, kind, fair and caring partner too. I'm not saying that a Slytherin has none of this things, they can be caring too. But a Hufflepuff has all of those so I think that would fit better
