Good thinking, I have done similar, need to get the bad one's vote of off zero so charger recognizes there is a battery present to charge.

You have got to be kidding me! I just purchased 4 new batteries. Thank you I understand the process, jumping the dead battery with a good battery just to get pass the memory effect of the dead battery and then charge on charger will do a 80-90 % charge. As time goes on the battery charge will decrease and deplete until the battery becomes paperweight status. But you may get 30-50 charges on a battery you would have replaced. This proceedure will extend the battery life however you will eventually have to replace the battery. Again ,thank you for the FYI
