That’s what happens when you don’t listen in context. Listen to the entire interview and not just clips. JD wasn’t nominated as the VP pick yet. He said in the interview that it’s well above and that he isn’t even included in the updates.

What I tried to point out is that when it happened he wasn’t a VP pick so any info he gets in that regard is second hand.
