Documentaries are a great format as well as battle reports! In my case I got interested in the LOTR trabletop miniature game because of the Jackson triology in 2001-2003 and because of the amazing miniatures and scenarie. It would be cool to interview personalities such as the Perry brothers.

Hey Lachie. I'm just gonna go out and say this. It's going to be a bit critical, but meant with all the best intentions. Hoping it provides some meaningful feedback. I've been following your content for years. I was a Patreon supporter for a good year as well. I think I've watched litteraly every MESBG video you've put out. I appreciate all the effort that go into making these type of videos. It's huge. But, I'm a bit lost on these docu type videos. I feel like I've seen this video before. That's partly due to the fact that it feels like a good third of the footage in this video was recycled and already used, but it also doesn't feel like theres a real narrative going on. You showed us the sword workshop before, Theoden's armor was shown before, the weapons were talked about before, and the talking head parts filmed at the Edoras location we've seen before. The only new (and it was a cool) part was the interview with Richard. Maybe I'm the only one. And if these comments aren't appreciated I'll remove them, but maybe the lack of feeling of progress or innovation is at the core of why views have been dropping off? I really don't want to be an ass here. I love your content, but I do feel like it's not what it used to be. This is meant as feedback from a loyal viewer who wishes you nothing but success.
@awesomenesschanelАй бұрын
hard disagree here. Everyone's opinion is different obviously. To me this is an original video, yes it is similar to some previous but I dont see that as being different from one crafting video and another where the only thing that is different is the setting of the place being crafted - theyre both still crafting videos! I enjoyed the video and I am glad that Lachy is doing something he loves to do and loves to share. I am looking forward to both the next video similar to this one he makes AND the next crafting video he makes.
@PewpewFiahАй бұрын
You're not alone, but he doesn't care, His most popular videos of the past 12 months are his 'End of Zorpazorp' videos. The part 2 end of zorpazorp is literally more popular than the previous 3 months of his videos. And if you go into that comments section of the first 'End of Zorpazorp' and look through it, he's taken on literally NONE of the feedback that was mentioned in the comments. He continued to do all the tripe that people don't want. And continues to like and interact with comments that fuel his echo chamber as evidenced in this comment section too.
@awesomenesschanelАй бұрын
@@PewpewFiah such needless negativity. If you dont like the videos then simply dont watch them, it is very simple. Lachy nor his fans/supporters are hurting anyone. There is no need to call his comment sections "echo chambers", that is literally what KZbin is meant for - people who enjoy certain topics finding the things that they enjoy so that they can watch them. Let him do his thing which he enjoys and let the people who like to watch it enjoy it. To be clear, the original comment on this thread is not what I am criticising, that was someone who has enjoyed the channel in the past leaving a respectful comment, you on the other hand replied with nothing either helpful or respectful and jjust attacked people.
@buggmoeАй бұрын
I agree with you. No shade to Lachie, I'm genuinely a fan of his work and want Zorapzorp to succeed. Despite all that, and how cool it is for Lachie to be able to meet these people, I don't really enjoy the documentary content. I prefer the crafting videos, middle earth or 40k.
@LowlandsWargaming-TimАй бұрын
@@awesomenesschanel isn’t that what’s happening? And what he is upset about? And looking for answers about? If your community doesn’t provide you with feedback and views are tanking, who else? It's fascinating how much ground the design and rendering covers in terms of creating a sense of time, place, and personality. Even with the miniature techniques available in the mass production space back in the early 2000s when LOTR Warhammer first came out, it was clear how much work GW put into recreating those iconic visual design elements in miniature form.
@clintonm.8938Ай бұрын
I think you nailed it! It was the level of immersion and commitment of the production team that made LOTR such a cultural phenomenon. MESBG allows us to relive that in parts, from the painting of our favorite heroes, to putting them on the tabletop, and ultimately having those epic moments where we survive the impossible or go down swinging!

Back when "Fellowship" came out I had been collecting and converting minis for Warhammer and Mordheim, so I felt drawn to the upcoming LotR miniatures as well. While I liked the designs a lot, I was a bit disappointed with the smaller scale of the range, and that they were less modular than the Warhammer-plastics I was used to. That's why I embarked on an insane project to convert Warhammer-figures for LotR, by kitbashing Empire, Bretonnian, Beastmen, Warriors of Chaos, and Goblins, to make custom Mordor Orcs and Uruk-Hai.
