One of the best tools if you want to tune European cars right. Using it quite a time now ( Master ) . Best logging functions , you can also view live data in winols. And a very good support ! ( i am in the business since 2005 )

60,000 maps! Fark me. These factory ecus are bloody advanced. You really need to know what your doing! 😳

Many people underestimate the complexity of an OEM ecu, a typical aftermarket ecu is stone age in comparison (they are better at other things though).
@digitaldreamer86374 жыл бұрын
cedricnyberg Agreed. I learnt the hard way with my Audi. Just get a flash they said. It will kick ass they said. In reality the car starting pinging like a bitch under certain conditions. Everyone ran for cover and no one wanted to help. I was left with a dud. IMO either go Syvecs or aftermarket. Flashing a Euro ecu is way too complex. Too much reverse engineering.
@dj4monie4 жыл бұрын
@@garagecedric The advantage of aftermarket is mainly outputs. Factory PCM's control traction similar to racing systems these days with ignition retard/closing the throttle vs what was done in the late 90's/early 2000 when it wold apply the brakes to stop wheel spin. Also only advanced aftermarket engine controls work with DI. Syvecs PNP works well.

Remember when I was trying to find tables and sequences in WinOls because I couldn't afford those pricey definition files. Will always love the standalones and the modded ecus.

I feel you. I'm building an aircooled Ducati race bike from the ground up and I'm using a standalone ECU because the stock ECU would cost a lot anyways to get it to work properly because it's super picky and there are many specific things to every single unit that makes it impossible to use unless the whole harness and electronics comes from the same motorcycle, and it won't let you do any changes... so long story short, I decided to go standalone (although to my knowledge no one has ever done this in this type of motorcycle)

The BFlash setup looks good, I particularly like the look of the BTrace feature, but I don't think too many applications are supported by it yet.

We already have a VW in the course material. A 4 stroke gasoline piston engine doesn't care what accent the driver has, it's all the same and it requires the same knowledge to tune. The hard part is just having the software for it when it comes to reflash tuning, but if you're fitting an aftermarket ECU then life is easier - Taz.

no it doesnt, it is requested by numerous tuners - once you do your homework you dont want anyone to just copy it from you - in fully readable way.. you always have option to use other flash readers/writers that doesnt use this tech... just look on autotune business - 1st guy who made it only sold 5-6 copies of program, before others re-engineered it and started selling their own programs
