As someone who knew Mira, this entire drama is hilarious and I thank you for making this video. He was an asshole to me, after all these years, I finally got revenge and it happened because of his own actions, infact, if you go on his twitter, he's still engaging in drama to this day. Some people don't get that some modpacks aren't that much of personal project to be offended by criticism. Yes, creators put effort in them, even in this one, there is some effort made. But it doesn't mean that it's enough to not get criticism, instead, it should be criticized. This is how creators grow, they do silly stuff and get response to it. Noone can do best mod in existence as their first one. So if you are creating mods, or doing maps or something, you should know that criticism IS required for you, and thankly you will get it no matter how good project or aspect of it is. Let's say you don't have control over things people say, but you have absolute control over how to react to it. And yeah, just in case somebody wouldn't get it, I don't mean that people should write hate comments on mods, this is not criticism

The reason why a lot of maps became so flatly lit is because who ever recompiled the maps, used way too high numbers for the light sources. In half life if you go too bright it won't actually be brighter just more flat. So you are suppose to use low numbers, to have better contrast between dark and light which is in return prettier. It also matters what textures you are using bright textures will scatter more light, there for more flatness.

also, the hd model pack just has the guns work incorrectly from a logical standpoint. the normal models make sense because mp5 and glock take from the same ammo pool, which is accurate to real life. an ar-15 and a beretta m9 use different ammo irl but they still take from the same ammo pool. so yes, it IS objectively worse.

In HL1, both the MP5 and the Glock-17 use ammo from the same pool. This is correct. Both guns use a 9mm bullet caliber IRL. If you like the HD models that's alright but they're just not realistic in that aspect, thus making them objectively "worse" than the LD models in at least that way. Just a quick tip in regard to loud sound effects: The best thing I've done is setup an audio Limiter so that all the quiet sounds are loud enough to hear, and loud sounds don't break my ears! Some setup tips: This should be available by default on Windows in audio device settings (though I can't check it anymore :( ). I used the equalizer thing to put everything as high as it can. My guess is that the audio output triggers some kind of an limiter that then caps the volume at safe levels, after you turn system audio down. On Linux there are many lightweight programs that can do it. I currently use PulseEffects, though I have no idea how good of an solution it is. It has a Limiter effect that I use by setting input audio little higher, then cap it at a level that some test audio sounds good with (usually I do this with Garry's Mod). So far I've gotten the exact same effect as with Windows. Sadly I have no idea what Mac users can do :(

Hi, I use guns a lot. It is actually MORE Common to have Grenade launchers on Lighter weapons than heavier ones. So, an AR-15 is more likely than a MK48, where an Mp5 is more common than an AR-15. This excludes things without long enough barrels or reasonable capability (Like Revolvers or Colibris)
