These foods can cause serious problems like fatty liver disease, inflammation, scarring, and even liver cancer. So, without further ado, let’s get into the list of the five worst foods for your liver.
• Number one: BAKED GOODS. I know you love your cakes, muffins, and cookies, but they are not doing any favours to your liver. These baked goods are high in sugar, which can cause obesity and increase the fat accumulation in your liver cells. They also contain refined white flour, which is hard to digest and can lead to more fat storage in your liver.
And don’t forget about the saturated fat and trans fat in these products, which can raise your triglyceride levels and cause inflammation in your liver. So, the next time you crave something sweet, opt for some fresh fruits or dark chocolate instead.
• Number two: SODA AND OTHER SUGARY DRINKS. These drinks are loaded with high-fructose corn syrup, which is a type of sugar that can cause more damage to your liver than other types of sugar. When you drink too much soda, your liver has to convert the excess fructose into fat, which can lead to fatty liver disease.
