Believe me, by the end of the game I hated cougars too I have no idea how people got that "have one horse survive for 20 story missions" achievement with cougars and bears killing it and you at any given opportunity

I never saw a cougar once in any missions or even much in freeroam, I had to go out of my way to find one

I'm working on that one right now, I've been using random horses that I find instead of my actual owned horse just incase it dies randomly.
