I wouldn't say Pacquiao invented angles but I believe Pacquiao's use of angles beats Lomachenko's. Even if we take out power and ability to absorb punches out of the equation (assume they are equal), Lomachenko still loses. The angles are results of their footwork and they have different approach to their mobility. Pacquiao's footwork is springy, bouncy, multi-directional and he covers a larger distance because this is developed to both attack and defend larger and longer opponents. Lomachenko's footwork is quick, calculated and clean designed to confuse and go around his opponent's defenses, negating their strength or reach by almost always positioning himself at their weak side. The problem here is that Lomachenko's footwork is based around fighting guys at middle range by outmaneuvering them and I doubt he can do that to Pacquiao who also thrives in the middle range as this is where he lands his 4-8 punch combinations. Lomachenko also loses to Pacquiao at long range because Pacquiao has long range attacks that are designed for welterweights and Lomachenko still loses at short-range clinching/grappling as Pacquiao is used to grappling welterweights.
