It depends on the frequency of the music and the words of the music This days music usually play music at 440Hz which is harmful to our bodies because it doesn't match or reasonate with our body's vibrational frequency this causes u sometimes to feel moody depressed or too hyperactive depending on the words However when u play music at 432Hz our body's frequency matches the music frequency therefore a harmless song But beware u should avoid songs with bad lyrics play clean music

Narrates Salama Ibn Al-Akwa‘: ‘We set off for Khaybar in the company of the Holy Prophet (sws) at night. A man from the group said to ‘Amir: ‘O ‘Amir, would not you let us hear your poetry?’ ‘Amir who was a Hida poet got down and started reciting for the people [the following verses]: ‘O God, were not it for your guidance, we could not have been able to offer the Salah and pay the Zakah. So please forgive our sins that [we have committed] and the ones we may commit in future. We are ready to offer our lives for your cause. Grant us perseverance when faced [with the enemy] and pour down your mercy upon us. [We are the people] who refuse to surrender when the enemy challenges us to fight. And [we leave them] to cry for help against us’. The Holy Prophet asked: ‘Who is that singer?’ They replied: ‘‘Amir bin Al-Akwa‘’. ‘God bless him’, prayed the Holy Prophet (sws) 9. (Bukhari, No: 3960) Narrates Anas Ibn Malik: [Having entered the city], the Holy Prophet (sws) passed through a certain part of the town. Suddenly some slave girls appeared singing on the Daff the following ditty: ‘We are the slave girls of Bani Najjar. 7 How lucky! This day the Holy Prophet (sws) has come to be our neighbor’. At this the Holy Prophet (sws) remarked: ‘God knows that I love you people’ (Ibn Majah, No: 1899)

See all these declarations about music is haram, entertainment is haram, having fun is haram etc. Islam is a religion of ease and moderation. I studied and have faith enough to know this is not a religion that makes ones life void of entertainment (that doesn't clearly lead you astray) Not all music leads to evil, yes some does. In the same argument you make, your smartphone and computer can lead you to evil (pornography, witchcraft), does that make your computer evil in and of itself? Hence the whole "Because it leads to evil, its prohibited" logic does not make sense. The Prophet Muhammad peace and blessing upon him was ok with singing and beating of drums before him. The one hadith that refers against music is questionable but even taken in translation it associates people who will drink alcohol, commit adultery all the while listening to music (Which we clearly see today). Does it make any sense to say music that puts babies to sleep, that makes the hardworking men of labor work more efficient, melodies that come out of the birds and animals is somehow evil? brothers and sisters we must be very careful to call haram what is not haram, Allah almighty warned us from doing this Say: Have you considered what provision Allah has sent down for you, how you have made of it lawful and unlawful? Say: Has Allah permitted you, or do you invent a lie concerning Allah?”(Yunus: 59) . Allah knows best

This is so strange to me. Music is an art form as well as part of many cultures that people grew up around. It’s so vast in its genres, lyrics, meaning, sounds, and composition I cannot fathom why the concept of it would be haram. Ask this video explained was a certain TYPE of music. Maybe clubbing music that’s upbeat and vulgar in concepts and use of words. "Dubstep". What about the musicians that use music to praise Allah? What about the slow emotional songs that talk of self love, familial love, love for a husband/wife, the joys of being alive and generally happy?? Even songs that are sad but make you feel less alone in your struggles? All of that is haram?? Why- because some songs are vulgar? It’s a fallacy.

"among my ummah there'll certainly be permit who permit zina, silk, and music instruments..." bukhari 5590 according to Imam al-Ghazali is of the view that all the hadith about the prohibition of music are not because music itself is forbidden. Rather, it is due to external factors (amr kharij) such as dancing girls, alcohol, gambling, and others. This identicality is what ultimately triggered the Prophet Muhammad PBUH to prohibit listening to music. So according to the rules of fiqh, if these external factors are not found when listening to music, then music becomes permissible. Even if music can bring us closer to God, it becomes sunnah. That's a glimpse into music and fiqh. On another page, al-Ghazali builds another argument this way: if there is a snake and a baby listening to music, then these two creatures will dance. This means that music is a kind of divine nature in humans. "If listening to music is haram," al-Ghazali writes, "then surely the sound of birds will be haram too." the quran verse that is used as evidence for the prohibition of music is Q.S Lukman verse 6, Ibn Hazm says that this verse has nothing to do with singing (music). This verse explains that those who want to mislead others from the path of Allah and make fun of the Qur'an are disbelievers. Another reason why some scholars have forbidden music is that it is often mixed with haraam things such as alcohol and other abominable acts. Imam Al-Ghazali's book also explains several types of music that are allowed, including: 1. Music that evokes feelings of longing to visit holy places. 2. Music that stirs up the spirit of fighting in defense of faith and country. 3. Music that commemorates the services of important figures who have passed away. 4. Music that depicts joyous and fulfilling moments. 5. Music that depicts divine greatness by mentioning attributes. The hadith about the prohibition of music are ahad hadith, none of which are authentic and therefore cannot be used as proof. Even if there is a sahih hadidth narrated by Bukhari, its sanad is broken (muallaq). In this explanation, Imam Ghazali concluded that music is permissible for the following reasons: 1. There is no clear evidence that explains the prohibition of music in either the Qur'an or hadith. 2. Allah does not reproach His servants who try to entertain themselves to help do their obligations. 3. Many music songs have noble meanings. 4. The existence of bad aspects in music is not absolute. So if the music is free from things that are forbidden then it is okay. Thus the music in Imam Al-Ghazali's book on the ruling of music. Waallahu a'lam bisshawab.

As a former musician, songwriter and audio engineer of about 15 years, may I share my experience? Look at the lifestyles of musicians and not just today but in historical accounts even in Ancient Rome.. 'S*x Dr*gs and rock n roll' isn't a new idea. We might realize but imagine a child gets into music and its decent sure, but who is to say they won't migrate to the 95% that isn't? It's a gateway. I was sucked into it as well and it lead me astray. Even music without words can bring about unnaturally powerful emotions and longing, or trance states that lower our resistance to careless attitudes. It seldom brings about true contentment and if it does, prayer does it better. Look at the effect music is having on most people today, the filth and negative messages, is music doing good for us as a general rule or not? If the answer is no then shouldn't we lead by example?

I think you're right, it's about finding true contentment (=peace, God). I don't think the video managed to get that across. Music is passing ecstacy, a kind of drug really. For those who have given up music, MashAllah! I tried a few times. I researched it. I felt guilty and sad because I am disobeying Allah. And I hope one day I will be able to give it up for His sake. My husband said, that music is makroof - it's disliked. It's hated by Allah. But is it the same as doing a bad deed? If it doesn't influence your worship of Allah, it is a sin, but you are not harming anyone or yourself. (Although, music could be bad for our health. Allah knows.) Have taqwa (fear) of Allah wherever you may be, and follow up a bad deed with a good deed which will wipe it out, and behave well towards the people. - Prophet sallalahu aleihim waselem. Also, your sin is forgiven when you say AstafiruAllah as if it never existed. And, your sins between the prayers are forgiven in the prayers. It's always best to obey Allah completely, and Allah knows what is best for us. And if there was a better way that worked just as well for me, I would drop it like a hot potato. I am yet to find it. May Allah give us time to improve our ways and take us to Him in our best state. ^^ InshAllah. Hopefully, in a muslim country, I can find plenty of activities to avoid music. :) That are better than music!

MAMA - Jhope , a song that makes me appreciate my mother more. spine Breaker -BTS a song that makes me feel ashamed for being spoilt to my parents and so therefore i do chores more often, listen to my parents more, and respect them more) this is why i'm pretty selective of the songs i listen to, esp when it comes to lyrics, though i must admit, its pretty tough to find songs that have meaningful lyrics. but i think as long as it doesnt distract you from Allah and does not make you forget Allah, ( some of these songs actually remind me of Allah believe it or not) its ok, but make sure to listen to the quran more as it is for the better. May Allah guide us all, ameen

waalaikumsalaam~ thank you for voicing out your opinion on what you think, but i'm abit confused on what you're trying to say... :')) is whistling considered a sin? i thought it was just women that are told not to whistle as much, especially in Maghrib... honestly, i feel like people misunderstand the ban on music in islam..when they try to say music is haraam they always go to the verse saying its haraam. but in the qur'an it also said to kill ourselves for repenting and alot of other things, but that was for back in the days, and does not apply to now, in fact, it is haraam to kill ourselves now. so what i'm trying to say is, i feel like music was banned back then because people WORSHIP it SOOOO much to the point the neglect Allah and make music as their God, which is performing shirk. But nowadays, only people who are REALLY crazy would actually worship music and other things. I understand where you're coming from, but i feel as if as long as it doesnt make me shirk. and as long as it has no bad meanings and it doesnt corrupt me, as long as it does not make me turn away from Allah, it is fine. We also shouldnt listen to too much music anyway. There are some music that pulls me closer to Allah actually, this is why i'm pretty selective of my music, but no matter how much i like the artist, i would not 'worship' , heck i wouldnt even go to their concert. i just take the good meanings in their songs, to push me closer to Allah.

This guy needs to learn how to philosophically argue. His arguments are full or errors and way too emotional.
@yub2.0455 жыл бұрын
Lynna Bao Since this video is directed to Muslims, philosophical arguments are of no value. We Muslims obey Allaah and the Prophet with no question, for we believe it is the best for us, even though we may not know the reason behind it. As for non-Muslims, their scientific "facts" tell them music is beneficial and good. We Muslims disagree. It's pointless to attempt to convince them, because even if the video were to argue philosophically, they most likely won't listen because they have their science and they believe in it. Moreover, a large population of the world thinks Muslims are barbaric extremists and terrorists, which just narrows down the chances of them listening to our views even more. So, do you think there is any point in changing the style of the argument?

How music damaged me? Well it made really lazy...and distracted...there will be times when I would be upset about something...I would see red and I would see the need to take an action, but then I would put on my headphones, play Coldplay or selena, and then all of a sudden, the storm inside me would leave...the urge to take action would die with single beat of the music because music would calm everything inside me...and after listening to 20 or 30 songs, I would be back at my regular shallow lazy "everything gonna be okay" attitude...its been a month since I quit music...I know I still listen to music that is present in the background of a video...or the music in tiktoks, but at least I broke a terrible pattern...I deleted all songs from my phone...instead I downloaded some podcasts of my fav speakers...I listen to them while working, while going out...and it's more dope than My previous playlist...tbh, Russell brand is more interesting than selena or taylor...sandeep maheshwari is more interesting than Coldplay or sia...Jordan poeterson is more interesting than Billie eillish...I also downloaded Ted talks...you can easily quit music ...all u need is a better alternative...if u need a music dopamine...sami yusuf made really soothing Islamic tracks...(with and without music) there are several naats and nohas which give me goosebumps...so all you gotta do.....is decide....now when I have upgraded my playlisit....Im finally resuming the thesis that was pending for 1 and a half year....also I'm discovering other research ideas that will add value...I can focus way better on whatever I am reading .... (previously, reading was a torture to me because music was more appealing to me than articles) try this...you ll have a positive change in your life...

No, music is a universal language, it is what human beings have used to connect to one another. One can listen to music that doesn't go against their beliefs, there is so much variety. You talk about fornication, but everyone doesn't believe that is wrong. There are countless songs that are about marriage. Stop looking through the world through the lens of what you believe in, everyone doesn't have to believe in what you do.

If you haven't read it, you have no right to mutter bullshit about it. Better to keep quiet rather than speak shit about The Holy Quran as you've probably never even touched it or seen it. "Why Islam is haram to music lovers (or anyone with an IQ higher than 90)" 😉 I choose Mozart, Bach, Debussy, Beethoven, over bigotted religion anyday. In fact, I never felt so close to God as I listen to Mozart's Requiem. The true God let his truth shine not in old religious books, but in the beauty of nature, mathematics and profound music. God is much better than all your little human religions and petty laws. The Universe is made up of 100 000 000 000 galaxies. And each of this Galaxy contains about 100 000 000 000 stars. @@aspirewot8408 "manipilates" How about learning some proper english first ? From the Neuroscience of music article, written by expert in the field: "According to the National Institute of Health, children and adults who are suffering from emotional trauma have been able to benefit from the use of music in a variety of ways. The use of music has been essential in helping children who struggle with focus, anxiety, and cognitive function by using music in therapeutic way. Music therapy has also helped children cope with autism, pediatric cancer, and pain from treatments. " Music can cure your emotional problems, it's called music therapy en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_therapy. Food and sex also trigger dopamine you ignorant. Anything that gives you pleasure passes through dopamine. Shoud sex and eating be haram too ? There is not one neuroscientist in the world who says music is bad for you. It's the opposite. Neuroscientists showed that listening to classical music like Mozart or Bach increases your intelligence. Listening to certain type of music, like jazz can relax your brain and increase your creativity You need to start reading other books than the Quran, and expand your mind. This is pathetic and sad.

@@karimtit4897 food and sex does trigger , but it doesn't effect as much as music does . People listen to music often . We only eat food or have sex when we need to ( unless you're addicted to that too ) . This is why when people are sad or depressed they smoke weed or do drugs they live in a fake world ( fake pleasure which is temporary ) . But people who don't they just listen to music . It's same thing it effects your neurotransmitters in a bad way if you over do it and that is why you get bored of listening to the same music and you crave for good music . And about the research you searched it's a different one , remember meth was allowed few decades back ? Pilots and army men used meth to stay alert lol , but people over abused it and it had side effects so they made it illegal and the reason we read Qur'an is because it's a word of our creator who created this beautiful universe . If you don't read Qur'an that means you're disrespecting our creator duh
