--edit for context Apparently the video title is changing very quickly, as some other comments suggest. As of the time writing this comment the video title reads " Why North Korea is Preparing to Attack Ukraine Next" --- Okay, come on. I really do like the videos but the title of this one is just too much clickbait. I watched the entire video because an attack of North Korea in Ukraine sounded completely ridiculous and wanted to hear the reasoning behind the assumption. And I was completely disappointed. Yes, North Korea is preparing to supply weapons and ammunition to Russia which will then use those weapons to attack Ukraine. But that's very far away from North Korea attacking Ukraine directly as claimed in the title. Else by that definition countless countries from all over the globe have been attacking Russia since February 2022 and that obviously is a false statement or at best one made by Russian propaganda... Please please don't do this. I think the few additional views are not worth it. This channel has consistently produced quality content and even this video is well researched and I learned a lot from it. But the content does not at all support the video title! So I'm really sorry, but thumbs down from me for this video...

i doubt the viewers of this channel know about the war crimes committed in South Korea to keep the fascist regime in power during the war and after the armistice. or if they do, they don't see routine detentions and mass killings of leftists as a problem. modern-day liberals would absolutely be rounded up in 20th century South Korea. there was a comment higher up that said something about "how easy" North Korea makes a "back & white" distinction between "good & bad guys". such a comically sad worldview to have. the Korean War was and is to this day anything but black & white. but, people with such worldviews will assert that anti-communism is worth supporting no matter who is doing the anti-communism. we're seeing a rise in historical revisionism to equate the evils of WW2 fascists with the Soviet Union. Ukraine is especially volatile on this front of the information war. so, it's no surprise that you can repeat yourself until you are blue in the face that Russia's invasion is bad, if you even hint at any wrongdoing from the Ukrainian side you are immediately dismissed as a shill. it's quite sad to see this happening in real time as we drift further from the horrors of WW2. by the way, the Korean War was inextricably linked to the fallout of WW2, and seeing as the Korean War has only paused in an armistice, those ripple effects are still among us to this day. and sadly this video shows very clearly how historical fact can be auto-tuned to fit an incorrect narrative while dancing along the melody of truth.

North Korea's biggest issue is that it cannot get an accurate read on the actual loyalty of its soldiers. Of course they are all going to claim undying loyalty they will be punished severely if they don't, but the further they get from the actual country the less control the state has over them I would expect desertion rates to be very high in a foreign deployment of North Korean troops.

The thing is this war just doesn't make sense. It doesn't. It's a war that was planned to be a quick one, just like it was with Crimea, as a way to quickly raise the ratings of Putin within the country, so he could remain in legitimate power for as long as possible without even faking any elections. But this war has done the exact opposite, and now everyone who used to vote for Putin because of his "stability" are rapidly realizing the reality. It'll be tough for Russia the next 5-10 years, but changes will come, and Russia will hopefully become a democratic, friendly and growing country.

The Korean War was not a US war, but a UN war. The US, Great Britain, Canada, France, Columbia, the Netherlands, Ethiopia, South Africa, New Zealand, Türkiye, Greece, Thailand, Philippines. Luxembourg, and Belgium all sent fighting forces against North Korea. Many more countries sent weapons and equipment.

"The hospital was bombed due to a malfunction in the rockets systems." There was no comment on why it was fired, even though there are no military targets in side that range at all. ^this is just one excuse of many. The "reverse proxy war" has been a running joke in the Korean corner of the Internet for some time. For example, the Krab, a type of Polish self-propelled howitzer, is literally a K-9 chassis carrying around a British AS-90 turret. But hype aside, both militaries in the Korean Peninsula are built to kill and injure tens of thousands of people in a matter of weeks, and the fact that these militaries serve as armories for the war in Ukraine is not a good news. It is a humanitarian crisis waiting to happen, hence for every "reverse proxy war" joke there is a "salesman of death" concern next to it. Theoryo2586, you should do more research before you babble. South Korea civilian nuclear power output was down during past administration after anti-nuclear policies. The new president is already renewing civilian nuclear power development. South Korea in last decade has voluntarily reported few academic scientists testing milligrams of military grade plutonium processing to IAEA in previous decade. Experts presume South Korea can develop their own hydrogen bomb within 3-12 months. South Korean people demands for development of their own hydrogen bomb has increased recently. US has offered new nuclear umbrella with regular cabinet level consultations which is a higher level than NATO. Discounting and dismissing South Korea will only renew their desire to own their own nuclear defense capability. They are same people as North Korea except they have more capitals and technologies. Only reason South Koreans are not developing their own hydrogen bomb is they are more educated than most Western countries and have capitalistic democratic values.

@kulconcepts8996 I'm not dismissing the preparedness and willingness of the South Korean government on nuclear arms. The point I'm discussing is public opinion. The poll result has always been above 50% for owning nuclear arms, but that number plummeted down to 30% if the program entails economical sanction. South Korean public do not feel urgent to the presence of North korean threats. The high poll result is only showing the nationwide, vague fantasy, not the concrete determination of all. It is true that US and global interest should never underestimate the desire of SK's nuclear arm. Yet, it does not mean that we should bombard the delicate East Asian balance just because the government wants it, who has a high possibility of getting overthrown by the public if the poll result remains similar.

Well, for a bit of perspective on this. On the first day of the battle of the Somme Britain had almost 60,000 casualties. In a day mind you. On the opening day of the battle of Verdun Germany fired a million shells at the French. Also in a day mind you. And to add some perspective to that: those numbers are from 1916 when the entire world population had not exceeded 3 billion people yet. So in terms of percentages it is all the more extreme. The war in Ukraine is horrific, but far from total war dimensions.

The thing with the casualty count is that Ukraine has a smaller pool of people to draw re-enforcements from. Assuming that the 70k vs 120k death tolls are accurate, the Russians have lost "only" 1.7 times the troops while they have 3.3 times more people. If Ukraine cannot shift the death toll ratio significantly into its favour, Russia will eventually win just because it can sacrifice more people.

This assumes populations are constant - if new people are continuously born and reaching military age to replace those losses, it actually will just lead to standstills.

0:22: 💥 The Russian invasion of Ukraine has resulted in high casualties on both sides, with estimates of around 300,000 Russian casualties and 190,000 Ukrainian casualties. 4:09: 🔫 North and South Korea possess the largest stockpiles of artillery shells and small arms ammunition in the world, with North Korea having the largest arsenal. 8:30: 💣 North Korea withdrew from the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, resumed its nuclear weapons program, and developed an arsenal of around 40 warheads as a deterrent against US intervention. 12:29: 🌍 North Korea and Russia recognize each other's claims in an ironic twist of history, while the US and Russia seek support from North and South Korea in the conflict in Ukraine. 16:40: 🔫 North Korea's vast stockpile of artillery shells could potentially be used by Russia in Ukraine for several years. 20:44: 🛫 The video suggests that Russia could trade with North Korea by providing them with older fighter jets, spare parts, and advanced anti-air systems to defend their nuclear missile launch sites. 24:52: 💥 The North Korean artillery shells used during the attack on Yeonpyeong Island in 2010 had a high failure rate, suggesting poor storage conditions or subpar quality control. 29:00: 🔫 South Korea indirectly supports Ukraine's war effort through a compromise with the United States. 32:57: 🔑 China would be opposed to any deal between Russia and North Korea due to the potential consequences of nuclear weapons proliferation.
