I’m from Quebec but lived 11 years in Alberta. Such a beautiful province. The people there are simply amazing. They are such hard working, caring and principled people. If you are broken down and stranded someone will help you. Everyone there says hi to you when you walk by, not like here where you’re just a ghost. They believe in accountability and not having to tax people to poverty. In Alberta they reward hard work. They follow rules, are law abiding, and don’t need to do “tricks” to get ahead. Just watch out for all the photo radar cameras in every intersection. (Speed and red light)

There's no provincial tax however the 1st income tax bracket is 10% compared to about 5% in Ontario. IOW if you are earning $50000 you pay about $2500 more in income tax. Roughly 200 per month. Whereas if u spend 1000 in consumables a month u save 130 in HST

In Alberta, you work only 6 to 7 months and the rest of the months you won't have work because of the extreme weather. Also, it's impossible to get a high-paying job in Alberta. It's easy to get a $15 job, but now lots of people moved here and you can't find a $15 job either. Don't say that everything is cheap. Alberta is not that cheap either. Most importantly, the jobs in Alberta are not stable, you will have it for a few months then you will get laid off. Pretty much you have to find a job every 6 to 7 months, hard to survive here. It's not cheap and not a stable province.

This is only your experience. I've been here for 10 years now, have always worked 12 months of the year, never been laid off once, never made less than $25/hr (currently make $82k/year). I have never met anyone that had to take months off for extreme weather, what wussy jobs are you working!? Just because you haven't succeeded here, doesn't mean others won't. You seem to have a lot of excuses, maybe you are the problem and not Alberta.....

I mentioned in general what Alberta is and it's not my experience and I do business, not the job. I don't want to argue with you as seems like you started attacking me without knowing the facts; well, this is how you grew up, and cannot blame you. Currently, Rents are expensive, hard to buy a house these days for the people; in short, real estate is getting expensive. In Calgary, I have seen 16 people living in one house and I heard neighbors complain about it and people cannot afford housing. I would say pretty much everything is expensive and I am not stopping someone coming to Alberta and I don't care if people move here or not. It's not my decision and not my choice. I am telling the facts and trying to tell the people to do their homework before moving to Alberta rather than blame later to the government. You can't deny what I said. Lastly, in Alberta, there are not so many jobs, and don't argue if you have limited knowledge.

It's only the Indians living 17 people to a house, no one else is doing that......this issue is worse i other provinces, check out Brampton. This problem will only stop when the federal goverment stops letting so many new people in.....it's a Canada problem, not an Alberta problem. And housing/rent is more affordable in Edmonton/Edmonton than any other major cities in Canada. If you cant afford rent in Alberta, go back home becauae you can't afford to live in Canada. I have a few properties in Edmonton and Calgary and I rented them out and I know what you are trying to say. You are still not aware of a lot of things. Living is not the only thing to survive, agree or not, Alberta has way fewer jobs than Ontario and in Ontario, you survive by driving Uber, and delivering jobs, in Alberta, you cannot. A lot of guys came from Ontario and then went back and some of them are struggling after buying a house. It's not only a house. Overall, the Canadian system is corrupt and fake and everything is so expensive. We are paying a lot of taxes, but why?? The government is corrupt, open your eyes before it's too late. It does not really matter where you live, Ontario should not be expensive in the first place. Why it happened? Think about it and don't fight with them. I am not your problem. The system is the problem.
