2:20 I have never seen anyone find the Smokey Progg on accident, it can only be found on that single exact day in the single exact spot! HOW!? Also you can get 100 pikmin from the pearl it drops. Edit: The blue pikmin act like life guy in 1 and 2 and can save drowning pikmin.

It's really easy to, actually! You just have to run across the egg it spawns from, and NOT break it, before the 15th day. If you run into the jelly monster in the tutorial area, then you have already missed your chance to fight the smokey progg. He's not actually that hard if you can remain calm. But remaining calm is so so so hard around him lol

Ive only had played pikmin 3 and when a picked up 1 and 2 for the switch the quality of life made to 3 are astounding. Pikmin are so freaking stupid in 1, but i loved the game anyway, it has so much personality, thank god they made the pikmin lesse stupid in 2, like sometimes they are still dumb but they dont get stuck behind EVERY corner anymore, only some corners :)

What frustrates me the most with this game (and Pikmin 2) is the bosses that can just roll over and in a single animation murder 30 Pikmin at the same time. If you're encountering them for the first time, you might just lose your entire army before you realize how to actually tackle them And they make it so heartbreaking to lose even one, let alone dozens at once. I still remember the first time it happened to me, and I felt like I just committed an atrocity. Like it was my fault not one, not two, but like 35 Pikmin died at once When really it's just bad design. You can't make it this sad for them to die and then have multiple enemies that can commit mass murder. Pikmin 3 was much more lenient with that, which makes it easier, maybe, but also doesn't make me rage like before, so

That difficulty and the heartbreak that comes from the mass murder of Pikmin is part of what makes pikmin so fun for me. The one time you’re not cautious enough could cause you to lose your entire army that could set you back days of progress. Dealing and recovering from those losses is what makes Pikmin 1 the most tense game in the series.

@@odie4495 the game is designed to make you feel awful about losing even one. You start by losing only a few, you already feel like a monster, so you start being really careful, but even that doesn’t prepare you for the mass murder that’s gonna inevitably happen whether you’re careful or not, because you don’t yet know every move. You expect that messing up can lead to 1, 2, maybe 5 deaths at once, but some enemies can just literally roll over and if you happen to be on the way, there goes dozens of pikmin It’s unfair… the game doesn’t exactly establish that that’s a possibility until it happens Thankfully mass murders are much less common in Pikmin 3

@JB-ku7uz because the game establishes that 1: more pikmin means quicker fights And 2: you’ll rarely lose more than one or two pikmin when fighting common enemies So as far as you’re aware there’s nothing wrong with bringing your full army, and in fact, you should probably do it, for more damage Just like the long neck bird boss in pikmin 1. You can bring only a few pikmin (people recommend bringing like 30) but then the fight lasts forever, giving time for the boss to slowly kill everyone But when I decided to bring all 100, the bird took so much damage it barely had time to attack anyone

@@gogobrasil7185 the game pretty well establishes that pikmin deaths happen and on a first playthrough it's supposed to happen and that's the difference between a common enemy and a boss the boss will kill dozens of pikmin and the normal enemy can't it's what makes bosses impactful
