Fighting games are pretty much dead on PlayStation because of that $500 console, $60-$70 games, $20-$30 dlc And now you're telling me I have to pay an additional minimum of $80 a year just to be able to play online the biggest attraction about fighting games ( nobody plays fighting games for the story )

Even funnier when you realize that during the PS3’s life cycle, there was PS Plus, but it wasn’t required to play online. It gave you digital exclusive games from the service, gave you full game trials for other games, and gave you deals on games at different times. On PS3, all you had to do to play online was create an account, verify it, and bam, you could play online for free.

"Playstation plus essentials" that's literally them blackmailing you to pay for a service to to get the essentials of gaming on a console you already bought for a game you already bought. Imagine buying a car and they only give you the frame of the car, then tell you to pay for a subscription to get the essentials such as all the hardware and software under the hood to make the car actually run, and in this analogy gas is the game you bought.

Kind of hard when almost any non-free to play games online modes require it The only fighting game currently on the market that doesn't require PS Plus for online mode is Grand blue and they have a free version that fucking sucks and you literally have to buy the full price game just so you can do friend matches which is usually what you do in tournaments and is likely the reason why you got the game to play with friends And you only get four characters that rotate every month and you have to buy the full price game in order to get any characters you can't just buy a singular character outright The game is $60 and the first wave of DLC is going to be around 50 Back to the problem with PS Plus almost every full price game that has online modes require it Gta Dmc soulsborn series Fighting games in General Minecraft ( before Microsoft ) Most of these games going to be anywhere from $40 to $70 and with modern fighting games they're only Allure is online mode

I canceled mine after the price hike. Didnt make sense to me to pay extra on top of my internet bill to play online when I can play those same online games on my PC for free. Also they have been doing some shady shit with the licenses of digital games and not letting me play some of my digital games that I bought before they were even available on ps plus. And exclusive wise, only game series I ever really liked from them was uncharted and god of war. Every other game i played was multiplat.

Till this very day I'm switching between my PS5 and my gaming PC every day and I'm sad that I cannot dedicate myself to just one of them. PC is far superior in almost aspect but I miss that "I pick up my controller, it turns on the PS, that turns on the TV and I can game instantly.". Playing on the PS5 is somehow just more...comfy?

Subscription expired which i bought in 2021 during price discount. After price hike even after discount of 25% it will still be more then normal price it had. Back to single player which i mostly play anyway or i will just download some free to play like warzon something. Create a poll where players can tell they unsubscribed after price hike so those greedy bastards can see. In the end its demand. Don't forget they release a ps4 version, without releasing the ps5 version of the game, until a year later and then remaster or remaking the ps5 game and then hiking the price back up to the original price, even though you beat the game and with the new game you get a little bit of adjustments. on top of that charging you a fee to upgrade ps4 to the ps5 version even though they are making a new version of the same game. That's some shady stuff there. I remember them saying they don't care that people unsubscribe from PSN+ That they think they will make more money and I know why they said it, because people who leave psn+ will buy single player games and Sony makes Single player games. They don't care about the online half because destiny 2 is free to play and other developers would suffer the loss, because people would go well I don't have online, so I'll just buy a single player game. I hope people wake the hell up and stop right now, cause Sony is getting little too comfortable and greedy and think they have to locked in as one of their suckers who will buy stuff. It be better if you built a better PC and then bought all the online games on that instead. then if you decide to buy a playstation title wait till it goes on sale. If you are a streamer well i know it ain't going to stop you but me, I ain't playing 80-160 for a digital library that might expire and all those games aren't yours they are theirs because you pay a subscription, it be better to buy the games on disc at gamestop for cheap or bargain place.

The reason Sony doesn't have new exclusives is because they can't afford to. Think about it. Most Xbox games that are popular are online multiplayer stuff like Halo, Sea of thieves, Forza, Gears, Left 4 dead. This is great for Microsoft because it means there subscribers will stick around longer then if they were just playing a single campaign. And it cuts down on cost. They literally just need to produce 4 multiplayer games every 10 years and there subscriber base would be fine. The problem with Sony games people love like God of war and Last of us is that they cost them too much money to produce so they need to recoup costs back. And single player gamers that are finished in 8 hours don't keep people around paying for a subscription.
