Priscilla was very young when she began her relationship with Elvis. She was ten years younger than he was. A fact that did make their relationship, a bit not right, for the simple fact that she was a minor. However, Elvis had nothing but respect for the girl, who would later become his wife and the mother of his child. I do think their marriage started to crumble, when Priscilla started to grow up on her own, and want a life that was separate from the life she had with Elvis. Priscilla no longer wanted to be married to him. So, they divorced, after only a few years of being together. Elvis was said to have been pressured into marrying Priscilla, which can very well be the truth, considering how short a time their union was as a couple. But I do think, at one time, they did love each other despite the rumors of Elvis being pressured to do the right thing by Priscilla.
