There are multiple forms of genius. Someone who can take the standard and completely excel within those confines even pushing limits can be a genius. Someone who forms their own path that is completely unique can also be considered a genius. Even if the latter could never be molded in the first category.

In a world of the blind, the sighted man is mad. Two thousand years ago had someone said that man would one day touch the moon by riding an iron chariot with no wheels being pushed into the sky by dragons they likely would be called man, yet how else would you describe to someone with little understanding of the relevant technologies what observing the Apollo launch would be like? To say that if there really is no one there to observe the proverbial tree falling with no one to hear it, that section of the forest may not exist at all would seem mad; yet according to quantum physics that is a very real possibility. Madness is only mad from one's frame of reference. And remember: just because you are paranoid, that doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

And my character in oblivion is the madgod. Avarti can you do a video on why my main character in Oblivion, Son Khajiti, is secretly a genius but also a degenerate? You see he's a very buff khajit orphan from elsewyr and a master martial artist who made frequent trips to akavir to master his skills. He came back to cyrodiil and was arrested by authorities for going berserk after taking too much skooma. Hence the oblivion crisis begins. Also why he's not sure why he's in prison, he can't remember. After escaping the sewers he stopped the mythic dawn at every turn despite being heavily miserable and lonely until he met him. Until he met Martin "Sean Bean" Septim. Now you could argue that son khajiti is just a lonely degenerate who saw a soulmate in the young heir to the septim throne but is it really just that? Son Khajiti is not blind to the machinations of destiny and fate and is aware of tamriel's role on a cosmological scale. It is the arena for the Gods and Daedra to compete in. Thus our hero may have foreseen the turning of the age and the possible end of the septim bloodline. After all, dagon is a force of change. So, our hero departed for the mages guild where he'd focus his attention on mastering his craft to find a solution. And he did. He discovered a genderbending spell. Oh yes he did. And oh yes he did use it. Working closely with martin to find a way to stop the crisis and reach mankar camoran and the amulet of kings, our hero contemplated when it would be best to turn martin into womanhood and give her an heir. It never felt like the right time and there was a sense of guilt but he knew it had to be done. Time was running out and finally all the pieces necessary to enter paradise were gathered. Son Khajit could not wait any longer the wheels of fate were turning. He cast the spell on martin and martin attained womanhood before his very eyes. He was going to enter paradise alright. You can imagine martin's initial reaction at first being of shock and then of anger. Son Khajit knew he could not explain things so simply so he forced himself on the septim heir. A pang of guilt shot through his body, but whether out of intense lust or a sense of duty he continued anyway as martin's now female cries emanated through the halls of the empty room in cloud ruler temple. He ravaged martin until he came deep inside him. It was not enough however and so the night was filled with the sounds of sean bean's desperate cries and eventually moans. Morning came and martin lied on the floor next to our hero, somewhat broken but feeling a sense of admiration for khajiti almost intuitively understanding this was what needed to happen. Our hero kissed martin and departed happy that he would leave tamriel an heir. However we all know how things turned out. Martin had to sacrifice himself to banish dagon and restore the barrier between mundus and oblivion so their unborn child died with martin. Perhaps our hero wasn't that smart. He could've turned himself into a female and bore martin's child. Or he could have found a woman for martin to impregnate. Maybe he was just a degenerate seeking his own twisted pleasures using duty as an excuse for his depraved acts.

Thanks for doing Sheogorath some justice. He is a true genius, but his madness is handled so well by the writers. Sheogorath is a prime example of why you should never have anything to do with a Daedra. In his previous form, the other princes we're jealous and fearful of his power so they changed him into exactly what he hates. Now, in his current form, he's not only messing with Mortals but the other princes at the expense of Mortals. Now finally to rid himself of his other half, he humiliated Jyggalag and basically took over the hero of Kvatch's body. Sheogorath is the curse of madness personified. After all you believe in things being possible that others don't believe in. My favorite example was a guy on the caliphate of Al Andaluz. He was the first guy in recorded history to build a glider and jump off the highest tower to climb. He broke both his legs but survived an otherwise deadly height. It took over half a millenia for the next person to try! Also, the brothers Wright were not the first with a successful motorized flight. That honor goes to an American of German descent, but he wasn't good with people and the others had tied to big newspapers... They were scummy enough to take a picture from a failed attempt to prove that they flew first, but it was just jumping on the ground and AFAIK they had to change the date back too, while their competition was already actually flying! (as confirmed by a few witnesses, a photo and a local newspaper article which has been nearly forgotten).

The line between madness and genius is very thin and since Sheogorath embodies madness you could say you could also say that he embodies intelligence or that he’s the most intelligent entity in the elder scrolls franchise. Madness isn’t exactly as one-sided as some would assume madness comes in many different colors and flavors even more so than a rainbow in fact in some debatable instances genius could be considered a strain of madness could say that creativity was born from the madness that this isn’t entirely good or evil it is just that madness but it is also not madness brings logic in the logic phone is a mix between the two and it is and is not order and chaos to understand madness one must already be mad or at least be open minded beyond most logical Humans. One thing that fascinates me about this character is that he challenge is the very definition of madness and makes us reconsider a lot of things in our original opinions and well everything for he basically challenges the idea of what we do and do not believe as well as our own perspective as well as the very barriers between sanity and insanity.

To say Sheogorath is an idiot is... madness. All a person has to do is look up lore for the Madgod to see just how smart he is. There are numerous cases where Sheogorath has shown his genius. For example, Sheogorath challenged Hircine to a game of beast making, and made a raven that tricked Hircine's hulking beast into killing itself. Another instance is where he claimed he'd try his best to make someone go mad, and did nothing. And it worked. And then, he also tricked Malacath into killing one of his own children. Sheogorath may be mad, but he's far from stupid.

But are they actually unable to achieve CHIM? There's nothing that says they can't. Talos and Vivec both are Gods in a way, and some have suggested that Sheogorath actually achieved CHIM as well.

@krimnullz31665 жыл бұрын
Thor's Hammer maybe chim unless the dreamer can control their dreams
@ScurvyBoi5 жыл бұрын
CHIM since the Dreamer can't control the dream. CHIM generally exerts restraint though, id the CHIMs change the dream too much, they may wake the dreamer IIRC.
@ScurvyBoi5 жыл бұрын
@Prime Aggravator Any source or wiki page you can link to so I can check the Vivec thing? Because IIRC Vivec didn't become a Godhead...
@ScurvyBoi5 жыл бұрын
@Prime Aggravator Well, from what I have gathered, CHIM means pride, arrogancy, to care only for oneself. AMARANTH (Godhead) is the opposite, to care so little for one self that you are willing to give up every power you have, your identity, everything, I don't know WHY you would want to achieve AMARANTH. I guess I should just stick with CHIM. Edit: So I don't know if Vivec really would become the Godhead, I don't think he is willing to give up all that he is, then again, Vivec is far more chill that Tiber Septim for example. Maybe after meditating so much he realized that AMARANTH is cool? The only problem is that when you become a Godhead you begin a new dream INSIDE the one that already was, so Elder Scrolls wouldn't have happened. However I'm not sure about that, so don't quote me on it.

If by Dreamer you refer to Dagoth Ur, then that guy achieved a sort of Anti-CHIM.

I didn’t quite catch the name of sheogorath before he got turned to madness but. His previous self was said to be so logical, so calculating, that he could predict the future. It stands to reason that he predicted the other daedric prince uniting against him and making him mad, therefore he planned ahead to ride that storm of madness and leave the madness on someone else. He essentially created another daedric prince.

I don't think Jyggalag (however it is spelled) actually turned into Sheogorath. Rather, he is just pretending. He realized that by acting in seemingly random ways, he could exert the exact amount of pressure at the exact right points in time and space to achieve the exact goals he was seeking. By pretending to be a lunatic, he could work towards his goals with the other Daedra completely unaware, meaning that they won't fight him, and even if someone like Hermeus Mora were to figure out his plan, he would never be able to convince the others to join the fight against him. The greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world he didn't exist. Or that he was "just" a lunatic.

In my Skyrim fanfic, the Dragonborn meets Sheogorath in his own mind rather than that of Pelagius, dropping subtle hints and clues to their past, as Sheo (aka the Hero of Kvatch) was technically the one responsible for making the new chapter of the Elder Scrolls (Martin Septim’s quote), hero to hero.

I have so many issues with this video. He's literally just beating around the bush, giving all or these metaphorical arguments which don't really matter when THE WHOLE PLOT OF SHIVERING ISLES WAS PLANNED OUT BY SHEO! It's ingenious is what it is. He knows what he cares about, his realm. He knows how to care for it and it's denizens, with each of their individual peculiarities. And he knows how to identify and deal with threats to what he cares about, which we clearly see with him "summoning" the HoC to learn how to be Sheo and eventually mantle him to deal with the greymarch. He doesn't clearly act this way, but he very much does all of this throughout shivering isles. Edit: Also I'm gonna add there is several stories of him outsmarting the other daedric princes, including Azura who can see the future. Yeah, this video really was half assed.
