Why Stephen Curry Was ROBBED of the 2018 Finals MVP!

DISCLAIMER: I do not think Durant did not deserve the finals MVP. I simply believe Curry deserved it more and had an all-around better series than KD. This is my opinion of course so please be respectful below!
The 2018 NBA Finals was filled with controversy. From the JR Smith drama at the end of game 1, to some missed calls, to the Finals MVP controversy, which I’m here to talk about today, it was an insane series. One of those controversies that I believe is heavily overlooked and needs to be questioned more is the awardee of the Finals MVP. It was, of course, Kevin Durant but personally, I believe it should have gone to Stephen Curry and that’s what I’m going to be discussing in today’s video. Also the following year, Cavs went up against a warriors team with an injured Steph (injured elbow and sprained MCL from the first series) which compromised his overall play. Game 3 y’all know the story and in Game 4, KD was holding back and feeding Curry and he got a triple double. Lol That’s just how good he was. It was close, so the tiebreaker was the average. if u only look at the stats, KD has that in the bag, cause he didn't have one bad game, but when u look at the context of the game, in Game 1 KD wasn't that good and steph was clutch to put them to OT, and made a perfect pass to livingston to close the deal in OT(and i think game 1 was the most important game of the series cause lebron went for 51, plus the cavs would've had the chance to win if JR wasn't dumb, also JR way smaller than KD stole that rebound from KD smh). Game 2, into the 4th quarter the lead was in single digits and steph went 5-5 from 3 killin' the cavs with a finals record 9 3s, Game 3 KD was amazing, steph was horrible cause of his shootin' but he still stretched the floor and his gravity was there and KD was open or played one vs one against a way smaller defender. Game 4, kd had a silent trible double, and steph went like 37 5 or something rebounds like 7 asissts and he had like 4 steals i think plus a block or two.. so if u look at the stats, yes kd shot better cause of that game 3 from steph when he went extra cold from 3, but overall. steph was better than KD in game 1/2/4.

This has to one of the most misleading videos I have seen. Let's look at their averages. KD: 28.8pts 10.8rb, 7.5ast, 0.8stl, 2.3blk Curry: 27.5pts, 6.0rb, 6.8ast, 1.5stl, 0.8blk. Kd outperforms curry on 4 out of the 5 major statistics. Now let's look at efficiency. I Love Curry! He is my favourite player and I agree that he should have been MVP. But it goes much beyond stats and numbers. It's not a case of Durant not being deserving, it's just that Durant has been to both the WCF and Finals with Russ, and we all know what happened. Curry makes the game easier for everybody 'round him. Curry simply was the difference-maker, and that is in essence who the Finals MVP is given to.

Finals MVP is voted by 11 media members, many of whom don't play basketball. The real championship was played against the Rockets, and Steph outplayed KD in Gms 6 and 7, both elimination games. KD plays well when there's little to no pressure, hence his success in GS rather than OKC.
