I've put 3,000 miles on my fxbbs114. Tons of power. Clutchless 1st-2nd gear rolling burn-outs to common on the stock rear tire. Will be upgraded soon as spinning ain't winning. I've put 16" primeapres on mine and it keeps my arms lvl instead of the stock bars. I've put a saddlem explorer to give more support for the "at greater than highway speeds". Love it. I also installed a 25" sissy for my pack outs. I got off grid camping a lot. The bike hasn't let me down yet. It's already been through extreme rain storms, flooding, mud, 100s of miles of dirt and gravel roads.with hurricane season right around the corner. A 1,000 miles of stop and go in city traffic and the rest at high speeds. As you can tell I didn't go by the recommended 3k rpm cap for the break in. I just got on it and rode. Worked out pretty good for since everyone else that buys the fxbbs114 is have warranty work done at 300 miles lol. Luck of the draw I guess. Love the bike. Edit: the mirrors lol they do all the "vibbin about" you can't see shit over 50mph out of them.

A word to prospective buyers... if you have a Harley and want a 'better soundtrack' don't be lulled into buying new silencers (mufflers)..... there is a baffle plate about ten inches or so inside them that can be drilled out using a suitable sized drill with an extended shaft that has a reduced diameter extension that will fit in any mains power DIY drill. The drill bits are available on ebay, and it'll save you many hundreds of pounds. You don't even need to take the mufflers off to do it ! In the days before catalysts the plate could be punched out with a broom handle ! Just drill out the baffle plate and leave the catalytic bit intact to provide some back pressure and the ECU will deal with it OK or if you really want to, you can fit some XIED's that are easily available on the 'net, the bike may feel like it has less bottom end but it'll breath better overall - in the USA most staes don't have noise laws and your 'drilled out' mufflers will be just like the ones they have over there. As for the hand grips, Sportster grips are reduced diameter and are a direct replacement if like me you do not have big hands - it had them within hours of collecting the bike !

Bought a '21 Street Bob in green. Subdues the loud graphics the best of the 4 colors, imo. Coming from essentially everything but a cruiser. It handles surprisingly nice. Brakes are my main issue. It takes so much squeeze to get any clamp and the lack of an adjustable lever makes me think about braking vs just having the lever there and giving me the feedback I expect. I disagree with the levers though, I hate the chunkiness and will likely swap them out for a more traditional sized lever. The more rear centric braking bias has taken a bit to get used to, but 500 miles in and I'm adjusting to it. In all it was the only Harley other than the softtail standard that I was interested in.

As an owner of a 2023 Street Bob, I love it. I bought it because of its simplicity. I previously owned Ducati motorcycles and this bike is totally in a class of its own. While not super fast it does have good acceleration and handling (the ape bars do limit its handling in tight turns) it is very easy to operate. I find the rear brake on my 2023 to be better than most bikes (mine does not have ABS brakes). I did add a crash bar which saved my bike when the wind blew it over while parked or someone knocked it over. LED turn signals upgrade was a must and a new seat. I live close to the Tail of the Dragon (318 curves in 11 miles) and I am anxious to try the bike on this road.

I ride all sorts and I switched from a ZX10 and Versys 1000 to a Fatbob 114 in 2018. Haven't looked back. The Fatbob 114 is an absolute hoot to ride, and comes with good brakes and suspension from the off. I regularly ride and tour on other machines, and in 2019 I rode the Fatbob down to Austria with my touring crowd (Wrong Direction we call ourselves :) ). Other bikes in the group include Multistrada, Superduke, Tracer 900, Capornord etc. The 114 motor is so strong through the range it was never found wanting in the fast twisties, plus it does all you need at touring speeds and hit an indicated 130mph on the Autobahn. Having test ridden the new Road King Special I am considering upgrading from the Fatbob for the carrying capability, and greater touring comfort - no difference performance wise.

Got mine; a 2021 in Vivid Black. The stock seat is terrible and I replaced with a Saddlemen with the extra gel cushioning. What a difference! The stock seat is low and when I ride, my knees are above my hip and results in a leg cramp, and has a built in 'backrest' which is awesome. The new seat raises me just enough so my legs are level with the ground and don't cramp. Next is to remove the stock mufflers and put on Vance & Hines. I've forgotten all about my sportbike!! :)

Thank you mr Bob! I tried the Standard last year and it handles much better than Harley's used to do. The new frame makes a big difference. I rode Harley's for many years and the last one I had was a Dyna Street Bob -07 with the 1600 engine. Fine machine, indeed. But the Standard is waaaay better! Cornering no problem at all. If I had one it would be with the footrests in the middle (standard) and lower handlebar, like the Electra. Now that's comfy!

I know that if you put slip ons on that bike you HAVE TO tune it as well, and you have to use the Harley tuner. The bike comes stock with a high flow breather already on it, so adding slip ons makes for a complete stage 1. This info is straight from owners of this bike so it’s reliable information. I would love to get this bike and I actually might just do that later this year. I just bought my first motorcycle last October though. I have the softail standard. I personally am happy with the 107 over paying the premium for a 114. At the end of the day they both feel quick when you open up the throttle, but unless you want to dump a ton of money into the engine. You’re still slower than most modern cars. I love how playful it is though. I’m used to big baggers so this feels like tossing around a bicycle and it’s easy to sit at angle without getting any wavering. The stock seat is possibly the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever sat on besides a fishing lure. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a basic cruiser unless they need a bigger fuel tank like the slim
@sleeper.simulant73272 жыл бұрын
Slower then most modern cars? STRONGLY disagree lol. It’s probably similar in the 1/4 mile as a 6 speed 2021 Mustang GT, I could see the 10 speed auto GT being quicker. The econobox’s, trucks and SUV’s/CUV’s that make up 99% of the cars on the road don’t stand a chance in terms of acceleration… while it’s not a ball of fire compared to most sport bikes, it’s plenty quick compared to a lot of cars. Mid range punch most vehicles will be hard pressed keeping up…

Harley Davidson has had since release of the M8 Softails a 114ci upgrade option for the 107s, which you could get at the time of purchase with full Factory warranty. The upgrade is installed by the Dealer. And BTW, the cam which come with the upgrade option produces more power/torque than the 114ci directly from the Factory.
