I absolutely love the TASM movies. They are my favourites of all of the Spider-Man movies. And TASM 2 specifically is #1 for me. I love Peter/Gwen so much. It is easily the best/most chemistry filled of all the romantic pairings in any of the Spider-Man movies for me. I just connect to all the relationships (especially Peter/Gwen and Peter and Aunt May) in these two movies and this one in particular way more than the other movies. Great job from Andrew, Emma and Sally. This movie breaks my heart, I still cry each time Gwen dies. I wish there was a different ending for Gwen. I'll hold on to hope for a happy ending where both are alive for Gwen/Peter somehow lol. And even though the movie broke my heart, it is without a doubt the best Spider-Man movie to me. Great video.

I don’t think Peter and Gwen’s dynamic is that great. Remember what Gwen does when Peter tells her he feels awful for going back on the promise he made to her dad? That comes at a time where he knows his best friend is dying, and even if Peter doesn’t think he can save him most people that have dying loved ones usually want to stay at their side to give them as much love and comfort as possible in their final moments. 16:35 You made me understand why the parents sub-plot even matters. His father died keeping his research out of the hands of Oscorp. And Peter learned only his blood is compatible with the research. This explains his reluctance to give his blood to Harry Osborne. He knew it would be dangerous or at best give his father's research back into Oscorp's hands. And he cannot reveal this without really giving away his identity. If he didn't understand the value of his DNA and its relationship to Oscorp he might have helped Harry.

@@dregamingz The plot of this film is underrated. It needs a lot of focus, but I started to realise what they were trying to do. On top of the blood, the film is also about Peter losing everyone. It rekindled his hope in those around him and made him appreciate Gwen enough to want to go to London with her

i feel like i really relate to andrew’s peter. like the not-a-stereotypical-dork but still nerdy and a bit socially awkward. the not-the-butt-of-the-joke or school-punch-bag but still outcast and isolated. never quite fitting in. of COURSE someone who lost both their parents is going to feel that. like they’re lost and missing part of themselves and can’t really fit in because of it. it really touches on peter’s emotional damage and psychological trauma as someone who lost his parents, clearly didn’t have many friends, and then was thrust into having to take on a massive responsibility

I personally hate the whole idea that Peter Parker was meant to be Spider-Man and that only his dna was compatible with the spider. The whole appeal of Spider-Man is that it could of been anyone that was bitten but it was Peter and because of the lessons taught to him by his uncle, he uses his power for the benefit of others. He was a nobody who used his powers not for self gain (well he did at the start) but to help people. It also completely ruins the whole “anyone can wear the mask” idea as well only Peter can be Spider-Man.
@crablord79342 жыл бұрын
I loved almost every scene that had Spidey/Peter in this series. This Peter feels more like an actual person who would be bullied and have issues not because the world is just unfair, but his own flaws playing a big part in his suffering. On the flip side, his flaws turn to highlight his virtues when he do heroic things. Peter is a hero, not because of how little flaws he has, but how much good he tries to do despite having those flaws.

Both TAS films are underrated. I think it has flaws but there no where near as bad as people say. To me Andrew Garfield is by far the best Spiderman. He captures everything that Spider-Man is. I just love how quipy he is in the suit. He's always being sarcastic and funny with villains. I feel like this Spiderman has a connection to the public too. Like how he says hello to the citizens and the part where he walks that kid home is just such a bloody fantastic scene. That whole scene just screams "Spiderman". Also it's honestly amazing how expressive Andrew Garfield Spiderman is whilst he's wearing his mask. You don't get that at all with Tom and Tobey. You can literally tell exactly what expression Andrews face is pulling when you literally can't even see his face! That just shows how good an actor Andrew is. Speaking of actors both films by far have the best actors. Andrew and emma are phenomenal. There chemistry is incredible. You believe in there relationship so much. The actor playing Harry is a very underrated actor and so is aunt May actress. Because the actors are sooo good all the interactions and conversations between the main characters come across so believable and real. Way more believable and real than any other Spiderman movie. Andrew is the best Spiderman. Emma is the best Spiderman love interest and TAS aunt may is by far the best version of aunt may too. The score for these two films is spectacular. It might be the most heroic superhero theme ever. It draws out such huge emotions from the audience

I think the Webb and Raimi films are comparable storywise, but where TASM films really shine is in its casting! Andrew, Emma and Sally are all gifted actors and made me care in ways Tobey, Kirsten, Tom and Zendeya just don't. Tom Holland is a great actor, (I thought he deserved an Oscar nomination for The Impossible) but he's not good at picking scripts and his solo Spider Man films are as basic as they come. Hopefully that changes with the new Fred Astaire movie he's been cast in. I also prefer the villains in this film over all others. Jamie could have easily gone the Jim Carrey route with Electro but he managed to ground the character in surprising ways and Dane was appropriately over the top as Goblin but his Harry made me believe in the friendship between he and Peter in just one film what others couldn't do in multiple movies. Do I think TASM2 is the best Spider Man film? Yes, but imo, that wasn't a tough bar to clear. Would I love to see TASM3? He'll yes! Andrew deserves to finish out his trilogy.

I have a confession to make. Here it is: I didn't like him at first. I didn't like Andrew Garfield's version of Spider-Man. Starting from the very first promo picture of him. Back in 2012, I wasn't happy about literally everything: the plot, the music, the cast, the suit, the tone of the film, even the way he was bitten by the spider. I was looking for reasons to dislike The Amazing Spider-Man. Which I had been doing up till 2017. Apparently, somehow I hated him because he replaced Tobey. Tobey Maguire, the one who was lucky enough to be the first. And people tend to remember the first ones. Barely had I understood anything when I watched both films of Watts' dilogy. Things started changing after Spidey had joined the MCU, which I was happy about. Which eventually led to the thing we could only dream of. The third interpretation of my favourite fictional character made me compare those three versions. Andrew just got unlucky to be the second, I guess. The older we get, the better understanding we get. Unconsciously, there started to appear more and more things in Andrew's Spidey that I like now. The suit, the music, the spider logo on his back and chest. Frankly speaking, I'm still finding things to love these films for. I am sorry for how stupid and short-sighted I'd been. If I was to meet Andrew someday, I would tell him about that. In all honesty, I'm more than happy to see that Andrew is getting the credits that he fully deserves. Yeah, sometimes, it takes 10 years. Nevertheless, I can't express the amount of joy I had when I saw Andrew in No Way Home. Moreover, people's reactions worldwide confirm that they were waiting for him. They related to him. They loved him. So, I can finally say that I have found inner peace, loving, seeing and praising the celebration of the 20-year-long journey. The words that have been resonating with me since the age of 5. That with great power, there must also come great responsibility. The fucking three Spider-Men. Tobey. Andrew. Tom. Never before have I been so hyped up and excited. And I wish you to experience the same. After watching this video, how can we trust those professional cinema critique?

Most of this film works, including the key dynamics, the action, visuals and music! It's really just the excess of subplots that makes this story lose focus. On top of the cut Mary Jane Watson plot with Shailene Woodley, we had Peter and Gwen the emotional core, Rhino who gets cut off at the end, Electro which is one of his dark mirrors, his second mirror in Harry, Harry and Felicia, Aunt May, Peter's parents, the Oscorp head, and Ravencroft developing the Sinister Six. Cut off Peter's parents and other excess and we get a better story overall!
