They weren't stupid in general but they were very dumb to the game that was being played. They killed themselves by not being able to adapt to the new way of things. They were so desperate to hold onto their traditions that they became blind to what was actually happening. Palps counted on them being naive and dogmatic and played them. The jedi strung themselves up, palps was just there to kick the box from under their feet.

What if instead of condemning Anakin Padme joined him. I believe the entire fight between Anakin and Obi-Wan would've had a entirely different outcome. Think about it Anakin wasn't stupid he was often praised as being a great commander on the battlefield and off he most likely knew he had harmed Padme severely along with his unborn children. This would have put a severe damper on his focus as is shown in the Clone Wars animated series when Padme gets kidnapped. The only thing he can think about is saving her, so, when he's fighting Obi-Wan his focus would've been split between the fight and worry for his wife and child(to his knowledge). It would also be amazing if you could make this theory into a full video! It would about averages between the two groups or be just about the new canon because in legends some children of jedi aren't even force sensitive. One notable example of this is Theron Shan who despite having a mother that became grandmaster of the jedi order and being a descendent of revan wasn't force-sensitive.

Handmaiden from KotOR 2 was force sensitive and she came from two Jedi. None of her 6 or 7 sisters were force sensitve despite having the same mother. At the same time, there was a planet where your prestige was judge by your midichlorian count (a force sensitive sentient microorganism which was attracted to force senitive hosts). The more senitive you were, the higher your count was and families encouraged keeping 'relations' in the family to keep the family prestigous. However, this planet was wiped out as they artificially gave them selves midichlorians and couldnt contol their powers, murdering each other.

hey I've had this theory about the clone wars I've been working on for a while but with limited knowledge of just the movies and the Clone Wars shows so here it is: was the droid army perposfully hindered by the Sith? In the shows and movies most of the time the droid armies are very lack luster, being useless against the Clone armies and the Jedi, but not always. In the first season of the second Clone War series there was an episode where the viceroy gunray was captured and the Sith themselves were in trouble. Viceroy gunray knew a lot about the Sith and they knew he wouldn't last against Jedi interrogation so they sent a force to recover or kill him to protect their secrets but instead of sending very unreliable and weak B1s they sent exclusively B2 droids to attack the cursor holding the Viceroy and the droid had no problems just sweeping through the ship. in fact they didn't run into any real resistance until the droids ran into Asoka and Master Unduli. Then later when it became clear to the Sith that the Nightsisters were going to be a threat they sent a droid army again mostly consisting of B2s and the droid mopped the floor with the Nightsisters slaughtering them and their creatures with ease, it was something right out of terminator. Then later towards the end of the series when Palpatine saw an opportunity to gain soul control over the banking and by extension the economy in episode Crisis at the Heart. To do it he needed to create a need for the Rupublic to really step in to take over manipulating Clovis and sending a droid force that with ease and again mostly with B2s absolutely obliterated the Clone battalion there to keep the peace, the same droid force that would be easily cut down by clones later after Palpatine needed the Republic to regain control. Even in The Phantom Menace the B1s were effective unyielding killing machines that would have easily defeated the gungans had it not been for Anakin blowing up the ship. And had it been B2 droids in that battle instead you can bet the battle would have been even more lopsided with their better armor, tougher frame, and better weapons. Just there's this pattern in the shows and movies where the droids are just enough of a fight that they seem dangerous, but not so much that the Jedi and the clones aren't able to defeat them with a somewhat ease. That is until the droids' victory directly benefits the Sith, because then they will without effort, and as one would think robots designed to kill would be, absolutely destroy anyone in their path. So maybe they were purposefully made weak byvthe Sith so that the clones could gain just enough trust and respect from the Jedi so as to allow them to get close enough for order 66, and to be just enough of a threat to the Republic to make the Republic want to hand over more and more power to Palpatine so he could make himself Emporer when the time came similar to how 911 and terrorism put enough fear in Americans to allow for things like the patriot act to be passed to sign over more power and rights to the government. Basically, maybe the Siths' plans were far more sinister than ever discussed in the shows and movies in regaureds to the droid army.

Does anyone hate how in TFA Han and Leia only have one child whereas in EU they had 3? I felt it was a huge missed opportunity to introduce Han and Leia's second child Cade Solo with Luke with training scenes involving Cade and Luke with occasional appearances from Anakin Skywalker observing Cade's training and providing guidance of his own to Cade. Now Ben would still turn and kill Jedi prior to TFA, but when he sees Cade, he hesitates knowing who it is but instead of killing him outright, Cade challenges Kylo to a duel igniting his grandfather's blue lightsaber and Kylo ignites his crude red one we see in TFA with Kylo emerging victorious but he doesn't have it in him to kill his own brother and thus, Luke and Cade depart into exile together.

Knowing full well Darth Vader could end the fight before it began...the video showed a part where batman used an EMP against Vader. Could his suit handle that? Or would it be out of commission? I can see the world powers around the world snatching force sensitives and training them to be weapons, the USA and Russia being good examples of this, some countries would even put some of them in power, some others may try to subjugate them or even hunt them and kill them like the Saudis do with Atheists or those who speak against their oppression, or even mark them as demonic beings like the Catholic church or ISIS. I've always wondered this, so maybe you could do a video on it. Which force user knew the most about the force? Not necessarily the strongest in it, but just pure knowledge (like Anakin wouldn't make this list). While it seems Sith are depicted as studying their secrets more than Jedi, there are some Jedi who could make the list. I would also assume "gray" Jedi or mixed force users would have a decent amount of knowledge of both sides of the force. I would initially put Yoda, Revan, Sidious, Qui-Gon, Bane, Luke, and a number of ancient Sith on the list, but I'm probably missing some. Most SW lists tend to focus on combat, so a knowledge list would be a nice change (unless you have a link to a list like that already). Edit: For people like Yoda or Sidious, I didnt consider how much knowledge they have for the opposite side of the force. So while they may be master of their own side, they could be "padawan" level knowledge of the other side.

Actually, from what I have read there was one jedi that was highlighted by the republic propaganda effort: Anakin. Skywalker was in command of or at least took part in the majority of important battles. In the Clone Wars series there's actually at least one scene where Palpatine orders him back from a battle that is considered lost for the Republic, before the situation becomes clear to those that don't have Palaptine's inside knowledge of troop movements. And from a propaganda point this would have actually been Sidious greatest move: The single Jedi that stood by the Republic, a hero, dashing and beloved by the public, the poster boy of the war that resisted the brain washing and saved the chancellor's lifeduring the Jedi coup... It would have been glorious. In the end it would have been the chancellor and his loyal general working tirelessly for the greater good... And then Anakin had to screw it all up and lose to Obi-Wan on Mustafar.

Awesome!! :) I love this vid's explanation for and exploration of the many reasons why the Jedi were hated by the public before, during and after the Clond Wars and when Luke resurrected the Order - not just the general consensus but extra reasons like: Their taking children at a young age, their secrecy leading to the Galaxy lacking an understanding of them, how few people actually saw the Jedi in action in the Clone Wars, the Jedi's mistake of not being featured in Republic propaganda that could have countered the Separatists' propaganda about them, and the Separatist propaganda about Jedi abusing clone-troppers!! :) I also love Palpatine's claim the Jedi had tried to promote chaos with the Clone Wars so they could take over with minimal resistance, and his citing of Dooku as proof that all Jedi were supposedly power-hungry at heart. :) Plus Palpatine's point about the Jedi believing at the start of the war that they were headed down a dark path, the way Palpatine twisted that to make it sound like the Jedi did indeed become evil and even they feared it. :) And after the Clone Wars, Palpatine pushing anti-Jedi propaganda, putting a price able to make a person rich "for a very long time" out on any Jedi's head, and the concerns when Luke rebuilt the Order that it would cause a new Dark Side-wielder's emergence - nice point there by the way, about how the new Jedi Order did indeed birth a new Dark Side wielder in both continuities. :) I also liked Palpatine's evil spreading of word denying the Force's existence and saying the Jedi were evil witches and wizards!

Liam Morris Many would have had blood testers to test if a child would be very force sensitive or not. An example of when this happens is Qui-Gon Jinn testing Anakins arm for "infections". This was shown by how many midichlorians you had in your cells and the more you had, the more force sentive you were as they were drawn to more forcesenitive beings. (2500 or less meant you werent force senitive. Around 5000 was about average for potential Jedi. 20,000 was the highest known number and it was held by Anakin Skywalker who was believed to be conceived by midichlorians as a response to experiments by the Sith as Midichlorians are speculated to have a hive mind as they were sentient)

Liam Morris if I recall that scene correctly, what Jinn had wasn't a sensor, to check specifically for that sort of thing, but an all-around medical device as after Anakin left Jinn contacted Kenobi on Padme' ship and asked him to run the analysis with the ships computer and through that they determined Anakin's Jedi count. So in all likelihood my guess is that whatever Jinn had was a medical probe that he had taken from the ship and that for whatever reason a non-Jedi ship had the Technology and software necessary for determining someone's force sensitivity. (either as a plot hole, or checking for a media count either has other medical purposes or for whatever reason the republic mandates this test as being standard as part of all medical packages, which again is either a plot hole, a super simple task there any computer can do it, or the republic requires that that test be available, in which case of the latter is rather creepy when you think about it as anyone with a blood sample and medical computer can check your medi count).

I think its in times similar to these that the true nature of the Jedi shows through. People hated them back when they vanished or went into hiding thanks to both Revan and Nihilus. Kreia was right about the order in a lot of ways, and I also think she's right about the force playing games with everybody.
