Or the tough slog they’ve had to get there catches up with them. Swans are a mammoth second half team this season. If they don’t lose the first half too dramatically, I think they may have too much run. That's why when they beat those bottom feeders St Kilda and the hurdle hawthorne although professional teams would have just seen them for what they was and looked straight to the real focus Port decide to treat every job like a massive dance Party. Check the coach he has the best moves. It's a dancing aeroplane No wonder they can't get to the big party too many binge drinks along the way they loose focus and aways is the coach that seems to be the one that gets over absorbed and pushed off balance by the sideshows. Sydney played in Brisbane and only lost because they had 1 fit player on the bench. If Hipwood had have been reported for tunneling The Lizard as he should have (wasn’t even paid a free kick! One of the most dangerous acts a player can do, yet Heeney was suspended for an accidental backhander because it drew some blood) Brisbane wouldn’t have kicked the goal in that play that won them the game …

Besides x2 AA’s, all his awards were literal kids awards, he ruined his shot at the Brownlow and he wasn’t in the top 15 players in either GF he played in on the day. I don't know how anyone can watch those two prelims and come to the conclusion that the GF is Sydney's to lose. Sydney has a good midfield but so do Brisbane and Geelong. But those teams also both have elite forwards and backs which sydney lack... Sydney SHOULD get smoked in the GF unless Brisbane cooks it. Hoping it's as good as geelong vs brisbane and the same result!

In agreement. At 3 Quarter Time I felt it was pretty obvious that Brisbane were the superior team against Geelong. And across the board they have at least an equal amount of quality across the board as Sydney (IMO Brisbane actually have more quality). So assuming Sydney are favourites amazes me, honestly.

I certainly wouldn't say Sydney lack great forwards and backs. Daniher and Cameron for the Lions and Papley for Sydney are both sides elite forwards and Andrews and Zorko for the Lions and McCartin, Blakey and Rampe for Sydney are both sides elite backs. Comparing both sides I'd give the slight edge to Sydney for their midfield, Brisbane over Sydney for their forwards and Sydney the slight edge over Brisbane for their backline ( Brisbane's backline has looked very shaky at times during the GWS game and they looked better in the 2nd half down back but 1st half they looked quite shaky )

I think if you look at all the forward and back options lions are better. Be interesting to see if big o out gives Sydney an edge, but I think fort matches up well with Grundy.

@@desertwind666 You're right with Hipwood probably being the only one underperforming. Last week Amartey had a good game for the first time in a while and the Swans tall forwards probably had their best game as a trio so it'll be interesting if they all back it up this week. Interesting to see how the matchup with Grundy goes, in both finals games he's had a slow start to the game but has fought back very well against Briggs and Sweet. Both sides looking as strong as ever with everyone playing great footy right now it should be a very quality contest.
