Everyone always leaves the 3sge and 3sgte out. It's okay, not like Celicas weren't kicking European AWD ass before the WRX and Evos. It's not like the HKS TRB-01 didn't slaughter the Tsukuba record back in 01 only to have haters, bitch, strip the record only to come back and do exactly what the TRB-01 did 2 decades ago. It's not like we'd have Gazoo racing without it. It's not like the 3S wasn't a more successful engine for Toyota, compared to the 2jz. It's not like the 3s didn't dethrone the RB26dett in the JGTC. It's not like it didn't inspire the legendary 503e whoch will remain the undisputed all dirt pike's peak hillclimb champion for all eternity. It's not like it's not a bonified drag racing legend. That car , had existed LONG before the Supra A80 MK4. And there other Supras before the MK4 that didn't have 2JZs And for the record, the Supra A80 MK4 was a POOR selling car that existed from the Lexus SC 300/400

If you like power, check out what the boys in Dubai are packing and tuning. Nissan TB48DE routinely pass 1000hp, sometimes over 2000hp, for hill climbs, sand drags and the occasional street race of a Nissan Patrol vs a supercar. Sometimes the Toyota 1FZ-FE is also used. Both are massive straight sixes used on SUVs, the Nissan with 4.8 liters and the Toyota with 4.5 liters.

There's a more 'mundane' version of the 2JZ called the 2JZ-FSE. This engine has the narrow angle valve style you see with most Toyota engines that isn't meant for competition use, hence the F, and it has direct fuel injection, which also brings us the woes this type of fuel injection does. Keep this in mind when you start to see surplus engines of such.

The 2JZ is pretty much an upped 3S engine, to be real... The pistons are the same, the rods are the same too, the 3S was made from '86, the 2JZ from '91, first coming in the Aristo One has a top made by Yamaha, the other hasn't. So you can tell me what engine I think is a lot cooler

Laugh at me if you want, but I am in the process of purchasing a 1995 LEXAS SC300 for it's 2JZ-GE with Automatic Transmission to Transplant (hoping that will require minimal modification to the Cab for proper fitment) into my 1965 FORD E100 Econoline Panel Van along with a 20 gallon Fuel Cell and Narrowed FORD 9" Rear Axle. Also upgraded Disc Brakes and 3" Lowered Suspension... I plan on having this "build" ready for the 2025 HOT ROD POWER TOUR! -Any thoughts/recommendations anyone with this? N/A is my intended direction with A/C.

Kids the main reason the 1993+ supra didn't sale as well initially. Was the PRICE. 55K in 1993 was a lot. Even today it's a lot. An example would be if corvette was zo6 was 300k. Nice car but....pricey.

Okay so I bought five feet of land in Scotland. It's not legit. In order to become a lord you have to register the land in Scotland. Here's the catch 5 feet of land is too small for them to register, which means you can not be considered a lord or lady , and the certificate is not legit. There is no official seal . Many are now leaking oil from the rear main seal and oil pans due to age & wear. That will require a pricey engine out service and might as well do a timing belt/water pump replacement at the same time. Besides that they're basically issue free and smooth.

2JZ belongs to the Toyota JZA147 (Artisto) /Lexus GS Sedan. NOT the Supra in general(which the same can be said of the 1JZ that belongs to the Soarer). The 2JZ(and 1JZ) was available in different other Toyota vehicles, NOT just the Supra(A80), nor was it in the Supra A80 first. It would've costed Toyota a lot of funds to create a new inline 6 from scratch, or to "update" the 2JZ. All for just one vehicle/platform. Otherwise the Supra would've been way up there in price

2JZ has never ever destroyed any super car. It is in fact way slower than many super cars of its own time (512 TR, Diablo, Viper, Corvette ZR1, 993 Turbo) let alone today's super cars!!! If you are talking about a heavily tuned 2JZ, then it is a tuned car and is a different story altogether (it has nothing to do with what Toyota sold officially as 2JZ Supra MKIV back in 1990s). Any super car can be built and tuned to embarrass a tuned 2JZ. It is just a matter of costs.

The 2JZ is overrated at this point. This isn't the early 2000's anymore. Super cars are way faster and honestly most sports cars are faster. I see videos of 1000 HP Supras being beat by modern cars with less than 600 HP all the time.

It takes at least 1300hp to qualify on the Liwa hill climb sand drag competitions in the UAE and the engines usually done for this is the Nissan TB48DE, the Toyota 1FZ-FE, and the GM LS, not to mention a bunch of others. Engines can reach 2000 to 3000hp. The fact these hp figures are so routinely done makes 1000hp feel so less amusing.
