⁠@@thanksfernuthin the story did not stop there, later dynasties all started using silver as reserve currency. the result of that is, all the silver european loot from latin America ended up in China. Finally, the British running out silver, they started the opium war.......and opium became the currency for the next 100 years until 1949.....
