One of the most curious phenomena I've witnessed in the last decade is the reversal of who is doing the cringe preaching and who is making the competent art... But perhaps it's not so curious when you know who is in charge of the whole story.

We are still fans. We need to gatekeep harder. Veilguard is BioWare hate-fiction and not part of the story. just picked up my Origin playthrough I haven’t touched in 2 years. (I forgot why I’d put it down: I’m on the Fade level.)

Don’t worry, this is as much dragon age as a chicken is a T-Rex.

This game proves why gate keeping is important

For Nate- Bioware used to make amazing games with deep stories and lore and used to be my favorite game company. Talk about throwing everything away. from what I've heard (I don't follow them closely) all of the original bio ware developers have moved on and the company is just a shell now. But the DA series had some seriously awesome world building to include the main (human) religion which had some very Christian themes like sacrificing one's life for others. I'm definitely boycotting this game though, as you like to say, media consumption is definitely optional!

Some developers who left Bioware are now busy on a game that looks very promising. Exodus. This game has the same flavour ad DAO and ME1 they worked on.

"If you think my critique of this cut seen will be invalid, your free to leave... Im glad you were here." Best. Line. Ever! Nate, you are so awesome and I really love this critique for the record! And I almost slightly considered trying this game out, but you have brilliantly convinced me otherwise. Good Story = Good Game.

I liked dragon age. Played all three games, enjoyed them all. But I'm not touching this entertainment wise and moral wise trash if I was paid to do so.

Can we all just Isabella's push up form is sh*t because she didn't lock out?
@kyleecook66718 күн бұрын
They used a legacy character for the gender preaching. Isabela has been a much loved character since 2011. She was complex and well written. She's a touch selfish (thought one could say that reflects not only the way she was raised and the need to be self preserving in her profession) but she feels deeply about things. She's also one character that will tell you to piss off if she's hurt your feelings. It's been near 20 years in universe since we've seen her...and I don't know where her sense of dignity went, but come on...

She was sold into marriage by her mother at age 14, and freed by Zevran when he assassinated her husband. Became a pirate after that. I have no idea who the hell this veilguard Isabela is.

How did Isabel wind up with such a stupid looking costume?
@rphb58707 күн бұрын
Didn't she also once had a treesome with the king and queen of Fereldan
@kyleecook66717 күн бұрын
@rphb5870 I dunno if you can threesome with Alistair, and I guess that would depend if your Warden is a Cousland? I'd have to play Origins through again to have a for sure answer.

I WAS a big dragon age fan. Dragon Age origin was a great game. It came out in 2008 and had none of this woke nonsense in it. Dragon Age 2 was rushed, but it was obvious that its main problem was lack of funding not malicious intent, so it could be forgivven. Dragon Age 3 "Inqusition" was okay, it had a few cringe elements in it, but these could be ignored and was not important. this game is so bad and cringe that it seems more like someone who have never seen or played any of the others are trying to overtly mock what the others tried to build up

Isn't Christianity all about sacrifice? Didn't you guys basically get Jesus to do all your push-ups on your behalf? If you think that asking for push-ups in order to forgive sins. Just wait until you read to Old Testament. They demanded blood sacrifices then.

Calling someone what she is is not a sin.

@insomnolant6043 just because misgendering isn't a sin, doesn't mean it isn't wrong. Plenty of sins aren't wrong and plenty of wrong things aren't sins.

@@waldo..8021 With love, you're statements are incoherent. It's not your fault, per se, if you don't know what Christianity is actually about. But it would be good to look up, study, and research things before making blanket statements, and then standing on them to make claims. Let's focus on your 2nd comment in this thread. "...just because misgendering isn't a sin, doesn't mean it isn't wrong... Plenty of sins aren't wrong and plenty of wrong things aren't sins." What is a sin? a sin, or "to sin", means "to miss the mark". Sin is almost always carried out in the hopes of attaining something good, but the method used will not give you want you need, what's good for you, etc. The first part - just because [x] isn't a sin doesn't mean [x] isn't wrong - could actually be true in some cases. Something may not be a sin, but it still might be wise to avoid it. For example, it might not be a sin to give your friend $20, but if you know he's going to use it to feed an addiction, then yes, you'd be culpable of sin. You don't want to hurt your friend of course - you love your friend - but your actions "miss the mark" in carrying out that love, because the result is detrimental to your friend. It's the same when it comes to enabling aspects of the "transgender" mantra. The 2nd part - Plenty of sins aren't wrong and plenty of wrong things aren't sins - is wrong due to basic logistical reasons, and it's redundant. All sins are wrong by nature. Intentions could be good, but they don't change the sinful outcome.
